We greatly enjoyed the wine education Andy gave us on the wines we were interested in. And we got some excellent tastes of a few wines from France. Great staff; very friendly folks with an excellent selection from vintners worldwide. Highly recommended.

These people couldn't be better to work with! Prompt service, great prices, helpfulness and knowledge... they make the sometimes stressful process of event planning/organizing so smooth and easy. Metrowine has helped me plan several corporate and festive events and Kristen is wonderful, available, and prompt 100% of the time.

Through a turn of fate and a leap of faith, I was fortunate to be a winemaker for 20 years. That worldly experience allows me to really appreciate this particular wine shop. They buy exceptional wines from extensive and surprising regions around the world. If you want a Condrieu, Pinotage, Priorat or Zweigelt you can find them here for example. You can also find great wines at a value price in the teens. I bought a Viognier for $15. A solid wine lightly oaked. Buy 6 wines get 10% off, 12 is 15% off. Over Christmas they tasted out a limited purchase of an Italian Frezzante (a semi sparkling wine less than 2 bars pressure). The wine was spectacular. Typically, you wouldn't find this particular wine outside of Italy but yet here it was in store. Amazing. They are rightly proud of what they buy, and you can rest assured that the bottles you purchase will be well made. I recently discovered them after living here five years. A distributor (Skyland) friend of mine told me to check them out over Thanksgiving. I've been twice and will happily drive the half hour to purchase wines. Prost, Salud, cin, cin! , sante! etc...

I loved working with Kristen while planning a family wedding! She was always quick to respond and made picking out the wine a fun experience. Everyone I have been in contact with has been upbeat and helpful. I’ll be shopping here regularly from now on!

Used them for the wine/beer at my wedding and if you are trying to decide what to do about alcohol USE THIS COMPANY!! They made it so easy! Kristen was so nice, knowledgable and responsive. She was very helpful in trying to figure out what we needed and how much. We also go to do a tasting with her beforehand to try the wines and approve of what we were going to have. They also dropped the alcohol off at the venue and made it so easy for me. I didn't have to worry and it was great. Great pricing and the best part is you get to take what is left over!

Andy helped me over TEXT when i submitted a random request online. He also helped me get the wine i wanted shipped into the store the next week AND gave me recommendations for white wines even though i was mostly vague and unhelpful. Awesome service and prices were reasonable.

That wedding week was a whirlwind, then we had a big family fathers day/ post wedding brunch. We are just now getting our feet back on the ground. BUT, it was Awesome!! In large part thanks to your efforts! It was so smooth and everyone seemed to have such a grand time! Thank you for all of your help!!

Metro Wines supplied beer and wine for a corporate event, and it could not have been a better, more convenient choice! Kristen was able to suggest just the right amount for the expected number of guests, and her beverage selections were fun and unique. We'll absolutely be working with Metro again soon!

We worked with Metro Wines for our wedding this past weekend. Kristen, their Event and Wedding Coordinator, absolutely went above and beyond to help us with our day. First of all, the selection available through them is *incredible* and their team will walk you through various options to fit your needs. Kristen was communicative, and responsive as we made changes or had questions throughout the process...and we had the *perfect* amount of drinks for the wedding, with a little bit to spare for the holiday season. She helped us with sourcing beer (even a very special one that was a moonshot!), which was greatly appreciated. I highly, highly, recommend working with Metro Wines.

Starting out strong, 100% would recommend to anyone who needs help selecting wines for an event or personal enjoyment. After a friend shared their experience using Metro Wines for their wedding a few years ago, I had to reach out. I spoke with Kristen, who was so helpful and fun to work with. We wanted to keep things simple with one red and one white wine for our guests. Kristen put together a sampling for us that was so good, we were able to make our decisions right away!

A few weeks later I needed help selecting a good champagne for a friends birthday party, immediately she knew exactly what to recommend that would be appropriate for the party, and not burn a hole through my wallet since I needed at least 6 bottles. Again, an excellent recommendation was made, everyone really enjoyed the champagne!
When I went to the store to actually pick up the wine, everyone there were so nice and helpful. They helped me carry the bottles out to my car and everything!

Needless to say, I will rely on Metro Wines for any future events, and if I ever need to find something special for another occasion I know exactly where to go. 10/10 Recommend!

We've been happy customers of Metro Wines for years. The staff is always helpful and they have an amazing selection. Last night was my first wine tasting at Metro, and I highly recommend these events. Andy, a knowledgeable sommelier, led us through a selection of six varied European wines, including one from Croatia. We ended with one of my favorites from Priorat, Spain (Black Slate). When I left I felt as though I'd not only improved my knowledge and appreciation of wine, I felt as though I'd literally traveled through the various lands just through the tasting experience. My sincere thanks to Andy and the entire team, and thanks to our gracious hosts. What a lovely holiday gift and evening at Metro Wines.

Kristen and Metro Wines were absolutely wonderful assisting us in selecting wines and beer for our rehearsal dinner and wedding in May 2022. We are Asheville natives and have been patrons of Metro for many years - they are simply the best!

Kristen was lovely to work with! She has extensive experience in the wedding industry and was able to make several recommendations to us beyond wine. She provided us with wines to taste which paired with our rehearsal and reception menus and we had a lot of fun sampling the wines! Metro delivered the wines/beers for both events and the logistics were seamless.

We used Metro Wines for our wedding! Kristen was great at giving us suggestions on what people tend to drink and how much at weddings. She really helped us narrow down a long list- everyone was happy and there was just enough to go around, with little left over for us to enjoy after the fact!!
