Troutman rockers are the best. I got three for my front porch. I have measured the space, and I have enough space to put a table between each chair. I ordered two tables today.

Privately owned Troutman Chair makes high quality rocking chairs. Mostly hand crafted by long term experienced employees. The famous JFK oval office rocking chair was made here. Great example of hard working, eco-friendly entrepreneurs.

bought some chairs from these folks years ago, they have been to western NC, Charleston SC, Asheboro NC, several other places.... still perfect, have been outside entire time, sometimes on covered porch, sometimes right out in the elements... still perfect, never even been painted. Seriously... probably 15 years ago!!! that's a good product

These rockers are THE BEST! We had six on our front porch for many years when we ran a B&B in southern Maine. We went with the supersized black plantation style. Now retired we bought two white ones for our screened in porch. Same size and design but with the added lumbar sway in the back! The quality is second to none! Worth every penny!

Now that I am buffing off old paint from what had been my late husband’s rocker, I have discovered that it too is a nearly twenty years old Troutman, with a straighter back. No wonder I insisted on a Troutman
He had sat upon many kinds of chairs that were just not up to the task of supporting his weight, which would fluctuate between 284 and 360 pounds.
We were looking forward to getting him a 970 Lumbar Rocker, but his health took a wrong turn, and he died 10-months later. Now I take comfort is rocking alongside his old 430 Classic Rocker. Cleaning it for repainting brings back many good memories.
