Dickey's Barbecue Pit

Stopped in for lunch and met the owner, Nick! He was awesome! Super friendly and outgoing! Not to mention, the food didn’t take long at all and was absolutely delicious!! I had the pulled pork sandwich and the Mac and cheese! The spicy bbq sauce is my favorite sauce!
I definitely recommend this place! Super friendly owner and staff, with delicious hot food!

Just stopped in and ordered the number two which the sausage sandwich combo and I got the jalapeño cheddar kielbasa version super good and it just come out of their big smoker oven. It was super good, got a side of fries which were super crispy and very well seasoned. I enjoyed my meal very well! Also the new manager and owner were very nice!

All I can say is WOW!!! The new management they recently took over is flat out amazing!! They have REALLY good specials and the food is simply amazing!!! I definitely recommend coming here if you love barbecue and good food!!! The owner Nick took really good care of my friends and I and was truly appreciative of us giving him our business!! I would give this place 10 stars if I could!!!

All in all it was a great experience for me and my family, they are very accommodating for picky eaters, they managed to make regular chicken nuggets for my little sister who is very picky with the food she eats. They have a great staff here who are lovely to talk to whenever, they were absolutely amazing people. Highly recommend to try the food here

The food was amazing and the service was incredible. I would 100% recommend. The prices are perfect and great for the family to come and get a quick bite to eat. If you decide to go to this resurant get the wings!!!

I knew I had to see what all the fuss was about, especially when I realized they were sold out of everything.
But that didn't stop the owner from being fast on his feet, as well as personally serving us our food.
The workers showed great professionalism and pride in what they were doing. There is so much more that I could say, but to make a long review short, I'll just say "HEY......GET ON DOWN TO DICKIES, AND GET YOUR FINGERS STICK WITH SOME GOOD BBQ"!!! 5 STARS NO DOUBT

I got a sliced chicken sandwich! It was so good I didn't need any sauce with it! I usually don't care for waffle fries, but these are seasoned nicely and very crisp not rubbery like other places that are known for their waffle fries! The staff was very accommodating and friendly and made us feel very welcome!

Visited today! Pleasantly surprised to see a this place open. Loved the service, staff was friendly, and the food was great! You get to keep your cup, that's cool! Felt homey, I will go there again!

Love this place! The beans & fries are the best! Brisket & pulled pork are very good, but the kielbasa is what keeps me coming back. This time, I was also able to get a slice of pecan pie! Low key, cozy environment with extra-friendly staff.

I really like this chain. Excellent service by the staff. Great parking. And I love the pulled pork barbecue. However the place reeked of disinfectant. I’m sure it was just the restaurant attempting to comply with the sanitation theater demanded by the government. But, stink detracted from an excellent meal.

Food was amazing and the new owners and staff were incredibly nice. 10/10

For those that just skim reviews, the important thing is the food and customer service is great!
I am a local, I have eaten here in the past (previous owners) it was good then but they closed down all the time so we got frustrated. We decided to give it a shot today after a 1.5 years or so maybe a bit longer.
The new Management is great. Shane and Eric B were friendly, answered any questions I had about the menu, prepared our food quickly and even brought it to us at the table! The waffle fries and Okra are made fresh so they were both very good. The potatoe salad is very good. Pulled pork and burnt ends were very good. We will for sure be back! Thank you to the new owners for bringing this place some new light, the big glass that devided us back in the day, you had to scream over it and it made ordering very uncomfortable. The updated changes are awesome.
I am told they own the Flat Rock location as well, so I assume the service is just as great. 💕

We stopped by this place after my VA appointment. (June 14th 2023).... my fiance and I both got the #3 pulled pork combo. Service was outstanding and the food was better than any other place we have tried in the Ashville area and around the upstate SC area. I will definitely be back!

Pleasantly surprised by this place. In town for the weekend and my kids wanted some BBQ. We're not the most picky eaters but to have a meal where nobody complains is pretty uncommon. Everyone was happy with their food and we ended up getting almost every meat they had to offer. There were at least 8 options of good meat to try. The sides were also really good. Fried pickles, Mac and cheese, fries, and waffle fries. I would visit again!

This was only our second time eating here but it will certainly not be the last. The two guys working were extremely friendly and energetic. I don't know what some of these other people were complaining about but the food was plentiful. We've been to a couple of other local BBQ places and the sandwiches there had half (or less) pulled pork than here. The sides we ordered were really good as well and, BTW, the spicy sauce makes an excellent dip for the onion "thingys".

We came in 30 minutes before closing, and the people working could not have been more welcoming. They chatted with us, talked about music (their selection was great), and the service was super fast. So wonderful, and thats rare these days.

This was the best bbq I have had in a long time. My sandwich was huge, I could only eat half. Sandwich was a mix of pork and beef. It was pull apart tender and not at all dry! This will be my go to bbq from here on out!

This place is great! We stopped on our way through town and this one some of the best barbq we’ve had anywhere. I had the chicken breast, my husband had the brisket and they were both amazing. The fries had some sort of seasoning that was really good and I usually don’t even like fries. The place is small, clean and friendly and we will definitely be back!
