The best thing about getting injured was learning about Dan at Combined Therapy Specialties! From my initial call to them they all are so friendly and made me feel welcome. After a few sessions they knew my name as soon as I walked in. I never get that from a regular doctor’s office. I don’t have insurance, but Dan never made me feel pressured to come more than I could financially afford. He said we would work together when I was able to. He even told me to invite my fiancée to a session so he could help me at home. I thought that was so nice of him because he didn’t have to say that. I don’t plan on getting hurt again, but if I do I know where I’m coming and this is the only place I’d recommend!

This practice is amazing — five stars are simply not enough. From its central location (easily accessible right off I-40), to the warmth and efficiency of the office staff (ALWAYS on time!), to the friendliness and expertise of the therapists — a top-notch experience all the way around. Most important, of course, is the skill and experience of the Physical Therapists. I saw Dan Parobek after reverse shoulder replacement and a resulting frozen shoulder, and he won me over immediately on my first visit when he assured me, “Oh yes, we can make this MUCH better. It won’t take too long.” From there, through a series of appointments, he proceeded to manipulate and loosen my shoulder, all the while teaching me how to be my own best therapist by participating in my healing at home. The shoulder steadily improved, and ultimately became pain-free and much more flexible. Dan gave me the information and skills I will need to continue my healing, and promised to be available at any time to answer questions or do a little remedial work if necessary. I was SO disheartened when I first arrived at this office — and a few short weeks later, the difference is astounding. I’m so grateful my surgeon finally referred me to Dan.

Combined Therapy Specialties is a unique Physical Therapy office and a class act. From the initial phone call and scheduling thru my physical therapy it was all an outstanding experience. Dan Parobek used his many years of practice, knowledge, and expertise to evaluate my problem and help me heal. Dan's personal attention and "hands on approach" used in every treatment is unequaled in comparison to my previous PT encounters in NC. He worked with me from start to finish in each session combining his positive attitude and education with his skillful hands to get me back in the game.

They have been very good to my Mother in law during her therapy sessions! Super nice folks!

Howie's wonderful, caring spirit put me at ease the moment I met him. He is thorough, knowledgeable and does a great job of boosting my positive outlook when it feels like I'm going backwards or not progressing as quickly as I would like. He reminds me that my hand surgery was unique - my surgeon with 20 years experience hadn't seen a situation like mine, ever. It's going take longer to get where I need to be; I'm so glad it's Howie helping me get there.

Everything about this practice is wonderful, including the warm and friendly Staff. If you need PT in his area of specialization, I highly recommend Howie! He is the Best!

I was sent here for a physical therapy after hand surgery. The people are incredibly nice, and the therapist is efficient, friendly, and professional.

The best experience in a medical office I've had in years. Howie was kind, intelligent, enthusiastic and a great communicator. After a finger surgery, he helped me get back to having a functional hand. I can't recommend this practice and Howie for OT enough! All the stars.

I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Dortch, who is extremely kind, professional, and thorough with his observations and treatments. I honestly couldn't have asked for someone better. He's a wonderfully attentive listener that is eager to provide you with the best treatment. My three visits a week for several months were not a bother simply because he was such a helpful individual to be around. You really get the impression of being taken care of at Combined Therapy Specialties. Nothing is overlooked. Even the receptionists and other staff members were helpful, polite, and a pleasure to be around. If I needed treatment for anything else down the road, I wouldn't even consider going anywhere else.

Recommended by my neurologist, I came here to receive treatment for lower back pain, sciatica treament, and other underlying issues to help me resume a normal day to day lifestyle. I'm 34 years old, very active, passionate about lifting, and I've had a herniated disc since/around 2010. I've gone through chiropractors, massage therapists, and more, but none have been able to relieve the pain I have suffered for so long like the professionals at Combined Therapy. Currently, I have been going for just over a month, roughly 6-7 treatments so far. I've maintained a strict at home exercise/stretching regimen, prescribed by Lydia, and the relief is almost overwhelming. I am now at the stage where my in office treatments are tapering because of the success I've been having. Sticking with the regimen at home has been vital to this. I would just like to extend my thanks and appreciation.

Dan Parobek has helped me tremendously. His staff are very kind, genuinely concerned and extremely competent. Dan helped my mother years ago; so, when I needed PT, he was my first and only choice. I cannot say enough about my care. Dan used various hands-on techniques and physical manipulations that successfully treated my chronic stabbing pain. He included me in my healing process; and, gave me the knowledge and appropriate exercises I need to continue on my path of healing. Should I need his expertise in the future, I will not hesitate to return. I very highly recommend this practice. He is EXCEPTIONAL!

Lydia Pierce is a phenomenal therapist. Very knowledgeable, kind, experienced and professional. I've had two issues which she helped resolve in only a few sessions. Highly recommended.

I am Peggy Garrett and want to share my favorable experience with Dan Parobek, LPT, of Combined Therapy Specialties. At 80 years old I had surgery to replace my left kneeing Spring 2021. Having had my right knee replaced when I was 60 years old I was not looking forward to several months of therapy. Through care provided by CTS, it was a totally different experience. The first consultation with Dan Parobek I knew by his excellent manner and knowledge it was going to be helpful when he explained my prescribed treatment. My therapy was personal and in office surroundings that were peaceful in a private room, not a big noisy room with many people, walking a track, using equipment, doing reps on a machine. All appointments were supervised by Dan, who charted my progress thru measurements and guidance, and to be repeated at home.
After 2 weeks of two appointments per week I could see progress in ROM and balance. After 6 weeks I was released and my confidence was restored, movement much improved, both inside and outside the home. I am able to resume most activities on my own, traveling, and walking without a cane. I have not tried to dance yet, but I will make it there soon.

Very friendly staff. Howie was great at explaining, to the best of his knowledge, the ins and outs of my hand and injury as we worked on regaining strength, flexibility, and movement. I never felt I couldn't ask any questions. His kind and humorous disposition helped me through the insecure side of the injury as well. I'm glad my surgeon referred me to his office. Without his help, I would not have thought I could have gotten as far as we had.

Due to several injuries and post-surgical needs, my wife and I have needed physical therapy. All of the therapists at Combined Therapy Specialties are the best we have ever experienced.

What great group of people! The office staff are very cordial and helpful. The therapy staff really bring their "A" game to each session. Each session you could see and feel their enthusiasm. My hand problem took some time to resolve, but they were encouraging and helped keep me motivated to work through it. Thank you so much!

This is actually Linda Robinson. Magic hands, Caring heart, and Healing touch....After seeing 3 "professionals" and being treated and diagnosed incorrectly, I walked into this office and in 5 minutes was diagnosed with a completely different issue and started my journey out of pain and into complete recovery. Lydia listened, asked questions, and processed what my particular needs were. She didn't miss anything in helping me get out of the constant pain and into optimum movement. I witnessed the result of her joyful and caring heart as I heard laughter from other rooms as she was interacting with her clients. When she treated me I enjoyed the same tender care and even though it was painful we laughed. During this covid year my visits were the bright spot in my week. My advise.....if you are in pain go directly to Lydia, do not pass" go," do not collect $200.00.

Dan's knowledge, skill, work ethic, and patience have yielded progress I feel so grateful for. This has been the best care possible, and I now have the range of motion that affords me a full life after the fracture I wasn't sure I could recover from.
