Kiwanis Park

Wow! Two playground sets. Huge slide (& not too fast). Clean restrooms. Tons of parking. The best playground we’ve visited so far! And we love Kiwanis thrift store in Black Mountain that help support playgrounds like this.

One of the best parks I have been to in a while. I am a Winston-Salem native but used to live in Hickory before kids and never knew about Kiwanis 🏞 Park. This park has something for everyone. Amazing playgrounds and playsets including a giant slide down a hill. They have a huge sandbox with a working excavator toy, a play boat, climbing structures, music features, and handicap accessible play sets. The park itself is also ♿ handicap accessible with parking and seating. There is adjoining ⚾ ball fields, amphitheater, 🎾 tennis courts, public restrooms and 🧺 picnic shelters, and an amazing splash pad for the hot summer months.

We brought the granddaughter to play after we celebrated her 9th birthday. It was our first visit. It is a beautiful sentiment and memorial to the young lady that lost her life so horrifically. There were so many families there with their young children, enjoying all the different playground equipment, which also included a tennis court and picnic area. We will definitely be back, and next time, take advantage of the water park located in the adjacent fenced area, which also includes multiple baseball fields.

Large playground area with big slides and jungle gyms. There is a ship that rocks and a sand pit. When in season there is also a water pack available to play in. This park was worth the visit.

Kiwanis Park is located in Hickory, NC. Our grand children live coming here!

In honor and memory of Zahra Baker, this playground provides amenities that are accommodating to individuals with disabilities, including wheelchair-accessible ramps and rides, multiple ground-level activities, educational and sensory elements, and inclusive play products.

Best slide in NC! Both my young one and older one had a blast

The park was awesome. The boys played a little on the playground. But it was a very hot and sunny day so the slides were hot. Once we went down to the splash park the fun began.

My son & I love this place. He loves the splash pad & the playground.

The renewed park is really good. A big area of playground for kids, 3 baseball fields, 1 tennis court, 2 picnic area and long slide

This is a neat park, but doesn't seem to be ready for the rain yet as the slide was closed and the mulch didn't have good drainage. However the park is awesome and the splash pad nearby looks like a lot of fun.

Beautiful little park for the families to enjoy and play in. They have a tennis court and baseball fields plus a water park.

They have more selection of playground equipment than other parks. In the summer the have a great water park.

Wonderful park! Clean, kid friendly with lots of room to sit.

Amazing place. Really tall slide (like 30') yet it's not even close to dangerous. Modern, fun equipment with spongy rubber floor. Insane amount of picnic space and the restrooms are immaculate. Didn't get to do the splash pad but I feel comfortable saying it's of high end Waterpark size and quality, just from looking at it. This place is seriously perfect.

This is a very nice park, and the splash pad is great!! The 5 kids (ages 20 months through 16) played for hours. There are not a lot of benches, so you may want to take a chair.

Beautiful splash pad! It was clean and not overcrowded on Wednesday morning. My grandchildren, ages 3 and 6 had a great time. There are clean bathrooms on the premises and Hickory City Schools offered the children food at lunchtime. We had a great visit!

This is a well-maintained park with a good variety of play structures. Has restrooms and water fountains plus covered picnic tables. There is also a little free library! Great for a break when driving on the interstate.

The grand-girls loved it! We were there for probably an hour and they still weren't ready to leave!

We love this park so much. A huge playground and an awesome splash pad. We go a lot through the summer!

It's a nice park for the kids. Plenty to do. Loved that they had spots close to the playground for the parents to sit and watch their kids.
