Cool place, however they do not buy cards only sell. I understand the complications in life. I lived very emotionless for a long time, come to find out it doesn’t make us men more manly to display no emotion. Or to treat everyone the same as if you’re on a pedestal compared to others. God created us equally and sent His son Jesus Christ all completely out of emotion. It takes true courage to have emotion, it takes true faith to not treat every individual the exact same, as if a customer is a waste of your time. The enemy craves this behavior because then he can use you to get to others and ever since I left your shop today, your soul has been on my heart. I will keep you in my prayers as I felt a very heavy heart. Not sure what your name was but to the man in the Green Bay packers hat, just remember Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Your Heavenly Father views you as worthy and enough of His goodness, mercy, and forgiveness. Love you brother. We probably had a lot in common as I myself am a packers fan and had lots of packers cards

Had great luck getting hits here. Last pack I bought was $5 with a $20 card in it. Then joined a break and had several good hits in those too.

Also has good prices. Compared to other local card shops, the packs I have bought are around 10-15% under other people prices which is nice.

Visited several times busy and slow and never had a bad experience.

I don’t get all the hate and bad reviews. One of (if not the best) card shop in Asheville. Lots of inventory for all sports. Certain prices are a little steep but you gotta keep the lights on and lease paid. Guy behind the counter is super chill. Lets you do your own thing but if you have questions he gives quick answers. Was also willing to negotiate on slabs. Overall great shop and I recommend it to anyone in the hobby. Will definitely be back.

My son and myself stopped by to purchase a box of cards and for a young collector just to get a little advice. The owner took time to answer his questions and give advice to him. We left the store happy and will be back again soon!

Best card shop in Asheville! Doug is very knowledgeable, has great prices, new inventory weekly, graded cards and box opening events. Keep up the great work Doug

Stopped by a few weeks ago to sell a handful of extra cards. Doug, the proprietor, was pretty amiable. He pulled what he was interested in, made an offer, I countered, he countered, and then we struck a decent deal throwing in a pack of magic cards for my kid and then spent a few minutes chatting about the art of picking baseball prospects to collect. Overall a solid experience. I'll probably be stopping by again tomorrow.

Great shop! Love the GPK cards! Will be coming back for sure. I'm confused by all the negative reviews. My experience was great. 👍 👍

I have no idea why there are such negative reviews. I've been in twice back to back days and he talked and explained things very well. There aren't a lot of card shops around, why not make it the place you want to go to by being a customer and tell him your ideas, politely. Anyone in this hobby knows it takes thousands to build a shop and even more work for establishing connections with manufacturers and middle man brokers. Think I'm going back today.

I went to see Doug about selling my small collection of sports cards. Doug was amazing and I would highly recommend going to see him to sell your collection. If I can offer one piece of advice to folks, it would be to have realistic expectations for the value of your collection. Doug gave me a very fair price and I had a great time chatting about how we got into collecting and our shared experiences with the hobby. Thanks so much Doug.

*SEE EDIT*
Great place to go if you want to feel like you’re inconveniencing the owner behind the counter while you browse wax. What’s the timeline here for this store? Been “under construction” according to replies from the owner from five months ago, but you would think it was week three stepping in yesterday. I really hope it pulls together because it would be awesome to have a thriving card shop in the area, even more so if it felt like a welcoming or enthusiastic space to enjoy the hobby. It’s just not there yet. Either the vibe of the store, or the stock need to be upgraded. Hopefully both.

*EDIT*

In my original review I said either the vibe or stock of this store need to be upgraded. Both absolutely have, so my rating must increase to reflect this.

These reviews are crazy. Spoiled people expect a red carpet treatment when they enter the store. The owner is working and allowing you to browse freely. He helped people who asked questions. He gave me a very fair deal on a 73 Topps Rose and 65 Mantle. Definitely will go back if I am back in town.

Was just here earlier today. Completely agree with the 5 star reviews. Very reasonably priced and they have a large variety of cards. Plus, I would rather have an owner who leaves me alone while I browse instead of an over-chatty person who won’t leave me alone. I would come back if I am ever in the area again.

A decent place with very reasonably priced sports and CCG packs, especially older sports cards. To address the "grumpy employee" things in other reviews, it's not an issue. He talks to you and helps you when you want it, but leaves you alone to do your thing when you do not. I wouldn't have it any other way. Will definitely visit again when I'm in town next (Plus, that one of 75 card I pulled from a pack doesn't hurt. It's a lucky place)

Best action figure selection I’ve ever seen in a comic store. The gentleman who worked there was super friendly and knowledgeable of his products. At the time I didn’t know much about action figure collecting, so he walked me through the pros and cons of each size and maker to help me find the perfect figure to start my collection. If you are in the Asheville area, definitely worth a stop in!

This is my local shop. It's a welcoming place with a great sound track and selection of comics (new, indie & rated) for all ages and interests. Need to buy a gift for your figurine collector? They got it. Stickers? Yep. Funko pops? Look no further. Staff is inclusive and friendly and knowledgeable. Events include signings with really top notch artists, and the owner is one of the hardest working people I know. You want to go to this place.

In response to the other reviews: Just because the owner doesn’t see a need to speak as soon as a customer walks in, it doesn’t mean he’s being rude. Give him a chance. My husband and I have been in a few times, and when we approach him, he is very helpful. I don’t think he has to have an outgoing personality to provide a good service.

Folks, ignore all the politically-motivated one star reviews. Folks are intentionally dropping by to leave a one star review because they disagree with some of the opinions expressed by the busines.

I actually live in the area and have visited the store - IT IS AWESOME.

You won't find a better, more knowledgeable or more friendly Comics Store in the area. Hands down.

My boyfriend and I visited this card shop on our trip to Asheville. The owner was very kind and my boyfriend bought a bowman first edition box and pulled a neat card. There is a cute shop cat that greeted us and sits on the counter. The shop is a local small business and is in construction, but it does not get in the way of shopping. Great selection of sports cards, Pokémon, and funko pops. Pricing is good!

Been enjoying finding some great gems in the collectors cards as gifts and a comic or 3 for myself! Great space!
