They're doing renovations on the building, and we were not effected at all.

Staff was super helpful. The rooms are wonderful.

Great location, and I appreciated the clean, renovated room. I'd probably give the hotel 4.5 stars if that was an option, as I thought the breakfast options were just mediocre.

Updating & truly pet-friendly! Everything was in the process of being updated (July 2023). The medians were neatly sodded and trimmed. The room was like new. They thoughtfully provided bags for pickup after our furry friend. The $75 pet fee was reasonable. The location was not ideal for me but could be perfect for someone else. We were there on a weekend and turned in to parking from a street alive with partiers. The parking was full. I suspect some bar visitors took advantage of the open gate that is probably a temporary condition for renovation. Appears to be great places to eat within walking distance too.

After leaving another hotel for substandard cleanliness and less than friendly staff, this hotel was a nice retreat. The room was very clean and the staff was really welcoming. Everyone seemed to enjoy working here. Happy hour was a great added bonus as well. The hotel is within a short walking distance to great restaurants and bars. We will definitely book a stay here again when we come to town.

The staff here is absolutely wonderful and so hard-working. Even on a super busy weekend, everyone I came in contact with had a genuine welcoming smile - from the front desk clerks, to the sweet kitchen staff, to the exhausted and underappreciated housekeeping angels to even the workers walking through the parking lot - absolutely everyone was helpful, friendly and made our group feel welcome. They were so gracious (& flexible) with our multi-room student group. Whether personally or with a group, I will definitely visit again.

Very nice, clean comfortable, great free breakfast - except that they ran out of both kinds of caffeinated coffee during the breakfast rush!! Plenty of parking behind the hotel,

Probably one of the best Hampton Inn's I have stayed in. The front desk lady, Lillie, was the BEST front desk attendant I have ever interacted with. I had a small issue in the room where the water in the toilet and sink was brown but then it cleared up after flushing various times and letting the sink water run for a couple of minutes. I went downstairs and asked if any other guests had the same issue and she told me that the hotel was getting some work done with their water that day and they had to stop the pipes during the day. She profoundly apologized and offered to take off the $11.99 daily parking fee during my whole stay. The following day, she also provided me 5,000 HH bonus points. Not only that, but she even offered to help me out with an issue I had with my car at 10:30pm at night. Lillie was such a nice and kind, thoughtful front desk attendant and Hilton must ensure they keep her for the long haul. You must ensure she get a nice holiday bonus at the end of the year!

The rooms seemed to be have been recently updated. The hotel even had a happy hour Sun-Thurs where you can get either a beer or a glass of wine and had cookies and popcorn! I have stayed in many Hampton Inn's and this was only the second time I have seen a happy hour at a Hampton Inn. Breakfast was standard Hampton Inn breakfast. They are still undergoing renovations, but it didn't affect my stay at all. I would say this hotel is probably the BEST hilton you can go to in columbia besides Hilton Columbia Center. Lots of the other hilton brands don't have good reviews in the area. I usually avoid Hampton Inn's and try to go for the "higher brand" ones such as Embassy Suites, HGI, Homewood, but this Hampton Inn is way above your average, typical Hampton Inn!

Great place to stay, stayed for 4 days in 2 rooms (1 king and 1 2 queens) King room had a jetted tub. Arrived at 5am and the gentleman at the front desk allowed us early checkin which was really helpful since I have children with me and there would have been a long wait after a 9 hr drive. Shanice checked in on us during our stay and was quick to have maintenance come turn the heat up on our tub. About 15 minutes away from Ft Jackson with plenty to eat in the area. Only issue I found that couldn’t be helped is the traffic and parking at the hotel can be a little crowded if you arrive late.

Clean rooms, good water pressure. Smells very clean the moment you walk in. Everyone working is happy and grateful for you staying at their hotel. I will be using them for now on when I come down for work. Don't waste your time with home2/garden inn down the road. I left there after one night and cancelled the rest of the week there.

On the very first night, there was a very scary situation with a domestic violence situation going on next door. We immediately called the police once we heard screams and we advised front desk right away. Amy was working the front alone in the middle of the night and was still able to speak to us in a calm and professional manner during the fiasco. When police arrived, she got us a new room and hand wrote us an apology letter for what we went through and also gifted us some snacks for our kids and a couple gifts cards! I did not expect anything from it at all so it was really sweet to me! I am seriously in love with the staff! Not only from the way Amy handled everything, but can I also talk about Mr. Earl?! Mr. Earl would bust out his harmonica and sing to my toddlers, which I have 3 kids and all are 4 and under. He was soo sweet and would always speak to us and would wish us a good day! Every morning we would have breakfast in the dining area and we were always welcomed with smiles and good mornings! Alicia (sorry if your name is spelled wrong) but she particularly would ask how we slept compared to the first night since she was aware of what we went through. She was really nice, full of smiles and she also complimented my pjs lol
Ms. Charlene was a darling and her smile was sweet and she spoke to us too. Honestly everyone we encountered was nice and I literally cried on the last day because usually I feel like most hotel staff from other hotels are all grumpy or look like they are tapped out and no longer want to work there. I had such a wonderful experience and we would definitely stay here again if we are ever back in South Carolina. Bravo to whoever does the hiring here because you guys literally have the best staff!! :)

Now aside from the staff, the rooms are a little dated, but clean and it’s in a great location! It’s next door to a bunch of restaurants, bars, the expo center, and kid friendly places like EdVenture, the State Museum, and the Zoo! Main Street isn’t far and there’s also a happy hour at the hotel!

Great spot and the most wonderful staff!! Thank you to everyone who made our trip, just that much more special!

As a Hilton rewards member it's good to know that I have a nice clean room to go to. The staff here is friendly and the location was perfect since we were going to Colonial Life Arena for a Reba McEntire concert. Was in walking distance and has plenty of restaurants and night life close by. Parking is a little problem but I wish to thank Steph for giving us her parking spot since she was fixing to get off work. That was very sweet of her to do that. Just need a better verification system to keep out the non guest from lying to the staff when wanting to park. Daughter goes to college here so I'm sure we'll be back again.

The staff at this location is very helpful and friendly. The hotel is within walking distance to most of the local attractions. I recently had to cancel a planned stay at the last minute and Shaniece (sp?) was super sweet and accommodating of my request. This is the only hotel I recommend to guests and business associates when traveling to Columba. Well done!

Really nice hotel. Central location with restaurants and bars in the area. We walked to Ruth Chris for dinner. Service was great! Quick and easy check in. I forgot to take pictures of the room because I was so anxious to soak in tub. Whirlpool tub was great and so glad the jets were working great. If you’re a light sleeper the cars on the outside street may bother you but I’m from NY so I slept fine. Only thing I didn’t like was having to pay for parking but I’ve noticed with my travels is that if you stay in downtown areas, you usually have to pay. Room was clean and ac worked great! Would definitely stay again.

I've stayed here several times. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. The surrounding area is lively and can be loud, but even in rooms on the street side it's quiet enough in the room to be comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great place friendly staff rooms were extremely cleans and the lobby was nice and tidy I don't know about breakfast because the 2 night I was there I slept right past breakfast. Those beds were some comfortable but will most definitely be back. Also I like the location it was near plenty places to eat and just chill out.

You can judge the true quality of a hotel by the service you don't always see then this one is top notch! Our experience dealing with the overnight staff here was pheromonal! Once we got into our room it was a beautiful, well appointed room with a soft, supportive king bed and modern, tasteful furniture that really represents the Hampton Inn brand very well. I've stayed in a fair account of properties this year and this experience makes it one of our favorite locations in the Hilton family.

Thank you for being a wonderful place to rest our head away from the comfort of our own bed!

Room is clean but a little outdated, I was told that there is a microwave in my room but there wasn't. The location is close to restaurants and bars. During our stay my husband wanted to have some Jack and coke so we went to a liquor store and its 7pm and was close. I found out from bystanders that in Columbia all liquor stores are closed by 7pm 7 days a week,, so better get yours early 😁.
I gave this hotel a 5 star because most of the staff are very nice and polite. However, there is one staff that is not, which is the one who is in charge with the breakfast named Charlene. During my week stay in here, every morning I go get breakfast she is always grouchy and disrespectful, and that's not what I wanted to see to start my day. Instead of saying excuse me, she just make a hand signal to say move. Also, instead of saying excuse me she told me "ummm, can you move" well for me that's rude.. It looks like she is the only one managing the breakfast place, but that is not an excuse to be rude. She is working in a place where hospitality and customer service is critical so she better work on those coz she definitely doesn't have any.
Other than this rude lady, I had a great time!

This hotel is tucked away in the heart of the Vista. Strategically situated amongst a plethora of restaurants, stores for shopping and opportunities to embrace the Vista's personalities. I appreciate Stephanie's energy and her unique spin on customer service. Stephanie should be a staple in all of Hilton Inn establishments.
