Publix Super Market at Gervais Place

I've seen the sign for this Publix a lot, but had never actually been here. Located at least partly in a historic building, it's nestled back on a side street, and requires some geeing and hawing to find. I think it's actually the closest thing Columbia has to a Zabars from the standpoint of atmosphere. As a life long suburban/rural king of guy, I'm used to expansive grocery stores with wide aisles and big open spaces for produce, baked goods, etc. This one has fairly limited parking, narrow aisles, and a bit of a frenetic feel to it. That said, great grocery store.

Everyone was very nice and professional and made me feel at home in a grocery store. I love it. The produce is always fresh, the deli is great and I love the courtesy and respect and generosity!

I have went to publix last night. I was in deli and it was very nice guy I believe his name corey he was very very nice and friendly he helped me fix my order and everything love the service and friendliness

Nice variety of interesting items, and the small butter rolls are good.
Narrow aisles and not exactly the place I normally frequent other than the pharmacy, which elevates the experience I have to five stars.

Please don't 4get to try one of their deli subs made with Boars heads meats
And thA best subs heated if you choose. Ya wouldn't think that a grocery store would beat out just about all south Carolina s. Sub shops
And if you not get it heated
Then EBT is always accepted

This is a very small version of normal sized Publix Markets. But everything was well stocked and there were lots of employees around for help. The cashier was friendly and fast. I found everything I needed and more.

Publix is always great! Always have everything I need. Not to mention the employees are very helpful and nice! Everyone always greet you no matter if their stocking or just simply walking pass you in the store.

Best Publix experience I’ve had in a long time. It wasn’t crowded. Pharmacy was fast. This location is sometimes hard to find parking.

Everyone here is nice and courteous helps you in any way to find what you are looking for the food at the deli is wonderful keep up the good work and I'll continue shopping there

Absolutely adore this place..everyone's always so dang nice ugh lol but they have this Stuffed Salmon w/broccoli meal in the Seafood section and it tastes sooo good lol

Always clean with a great selection of produce, cheeses, and wines. The deli wraps are delicious, and the rotisserie chickens are always fresh. Publix's brand of food is always on par with the best brands of food. Customer service is great. Managers are friendly and happy to help. I enjoy coming to this store.

My only complaint would be that it is sometimes hard to navigate the parking lot when the store is super busy. Otherwise, no complaints. I enjoy shopping here.

Great service on Saturday as we were in town for the night. We got stuck behind an accident on 26 and arrived later than expected to pickup food. The deli staff was able to re-print our order and have it fixed under 10 minutes while keeping up with the other online and in-person orders. Staff used great communication and worked efficiently.

My favorite Publix in the area, this store is a lot smaller than your average Publix. The store is small and cozy and the staff are top tier. I go out of my way to come here because your deli staff know how make a sub. Also your produce manager does an amazing job at stocking the shelves they are always filled with fresh fruit and veggie trays. 🤘🏻🌈❤😍

Easy to get in and out, not my place for a full grocery hull. Organized and employees are always kind.

The time I plan to shop and go home is 30 minutes but finding the sales on items needed allows me to slow down and speak to others. This store in the area of USC parents bringing their children for supplies.
Convenient and costs are few things I could not pass up

I LOVE Publix but I HATE their prices 😒. I guess you get what you pay for so I'll continue to shop at THIS particular Publix. I'm normally a Walmart shopper but on my work days I shop Publix. THIS particular Publix ALWAYS has fresh looking fruits and veggies when I visit (at least 2 days per week). I can ALWAYS find what I'm looking for and they have a GREAT variety of healthy foods. The store itself is always clean and I'm generally greeted when I walk in the store. Whenever I've asked for help an associate, whether it was their area or not, always helped! It's cool store and only 7 mins from my job. AWESOME!

5.00 Sushi on Wednesday is a hit. Long line for sandwiches during lunch, but worth the wait
