IHOP

Was in the mood to have a sit down breakfast this morning, so I chose I Hop.

A little disappointed on the wait time since it was only me waiting to be seated, and the restaurant wasn't that full, but once seated looks like they may have been short staffed.

I ordered the chicken fajita omelet, with a side of hash browns. The omelet was cooked to perfection, also added the salsa, and the sour cream that added that extra kick to the omelet. My server was very friendly which was much appreciated.

I thought I was supposed to get two French toast slices, but maybe not.
The young man with the dreadlocs who took my order was very nice and quick even though it took me some time. They didn't press me for a tip, which surprised me, given American tipping culture. I appreciated that.

I don't know if it's fair because it may be a City of Columbia problem, but I took a star from "atmosphere" because there was an awful sewage smell enveloping the exterior of the restaurant and the parking lot.

They have menu items that I haven't seen before, like salmon and rice, new waffles, and they are advertising their new line of biscuits.

The waiter Jeffery took our order and got it right from memory!! The strawberry cheesecake pancakes were awesome!! I will eat here again!

Picked up my son from basic training and the first thing he wanted was breakfast. So we googled IHOP and bam.. we enjoyed! Thank you IHOP for making his wish come true. He was so stuffed, he fell asleep on the way home. 😎

We visited on a Saturday morning with about 20 people. We could not be more happy with our experience and food. Mrs Violet and crew were very friendly and so efficient for such a large group unexpectedly. We’ve found our breakfast spot whenever we visit Columbia.

homeless dude was having a very outthere conversation with himself. Takeout only but food was So Good. And service was exceptional.

Great atmosphere. There was a dishwasher named Akielious who was quite friendly as well as helpful.
This young man went out of his way to be accommodating by giving assistance to the servers and assisting the guests.

Server was by herself but did an awesome job. The whole family was happy

Lamont, daytime manager, great guy. Needs more employees, corporate! Stop cutting your employees short. I will not eat at another I hop. Great job, Lamont, and staff! Carry on with your mission sir!

Today my 3rd son graduated from high school. We went to the IHOP on Assembly St in Columbia SC for breakfast. Mr Sam and his team were more than amazing! When we arrived he informed us it would be a 20-30 min wait because they were short two servers. No worries we thought we love IHOP. I have to say while we waited and even after getting to the table I watched in amazement. Mr Sam assisted his staff in between touching base with the customers in the lobby. I was very impressed with the level of teamwork displayed. Every member of the team was doing something to help customers and each other. I told Mr Sam this speaks volumes to his leadership and how he has developed this amazing group to work together and get the job done. He might have been down two waiters that day but he had everyone he needed for that shift. He made everyone’s graduation breakfast a great experience. Thank you Mr Sam and staff working on June 3, 2022. You are appreciated!!!!!

We were seated immediately on a moderately busy day. Essence took fantastic care of us. She was prompt, attentive and friendly. She made suggestions that were helpful and pointed out various options on this new menu. Her coworkers are silly and obviously like working with each other. It is a delight to see folks doing a job well and having fun doing so.

Do yourself a favor and stop in to this IHOP location! Absolute best experience of any IHOP I’ve been to! Our waitress, Marlene, made us feel like she had been waiting for us all morning to get there. She was so friendly and hospitable, handled our order and requests with no delay, and most of all made us feel like we were guests at her home table. The food was incredible - we had omelettes, looked just like the picture on the menu. The manager, Sam, was very accommodating and friendly as well - even apologized when we arrived that there might be a wait, due to being short staffed, but we couldn’t even tell because their service was absolutely flawless. Needless to say,we had an amazing experience and will certainly be back if we happen to pass through the area again!

Everything was so good now complaints. Everyone was extremely nice. Thank you so much to the manager Porcha her customer service is great.

Stopped here to get a quick bite after taking my daughter and her friend to Banzaicon 2019. The staff here was engaging and built rapport at a rapid pace. The food was hot and served promptly, the facility was clean and orderly. The employees seemed happy to be working here and that makes a HUGE difference in the way they interact with customers. I would go again and again. We were checked on frequently throughout the meal but it was not overbearing. We even got our bill picked up from our table and processed. I enjoyed not having to wait at the cash register. Best IHOP I have every visited. Keep up the great work. I recommend if you are ever in the area to try them out! You will love the experience.

Cannot beat their pancakes. Such a great breakfast menu.

Had an excellent experience with our party of 8. Our server brought out our food staggered so it was still hot and fresh. Which our party appreciated being second to last to get my food I was content to see my family enjoying warm food rather than waiting for mine. Great place to catch up with friends and family!
