Very intereating historic place with information to learn about this old dam and the events that took place a century ago.
If you like to enjoy reading this place a couple of posts narrating history with old pictures and describing the original structures bult at this place.
It is interesting to see various remanents of the rail and the water tower.
The place is very well maintained and is closed to several hotel in the area.
It is even possible to walk through the trail to get to some of the closest hotels.
From here you can follow the trail to and old bridge on one direction and to the other you can get to the next park near the football stadium
Worthwhile.

Great start to a journey, just a little bit out of the way to get the good graffiti pics.

Nice mostly shaded walking path

With plenty of historical markers and information about the Allen historic water station

Plenty of benches to rest on and trash cans

This is a beautifully maintained and enjoyable walk. We brought our pups and they really liked all the sniffing sites, lol. My only complaint is seeing “pick up dog waste” signs and yet there are no dog poo bags present. We always bring our own, but it certainly helps to have some readily available for those who may have run out. I look forward to going back soon!

One of the hidden gems of Allen. The parking is behind the warehouses so it's alittle hard to find but well worth it. These trails also are part of Plano's 20+ miles worth of trails. Area is also wooded so the sun doesn't beat down on you while your hiking, skating, or biking.

Wide trails, little traffic, dogs, bikes, runners are all welcome. Different water features and the graffiti bridge is a great photo op!

A cool hidden spot in the middle of Allen Texas. Great way to spend a few hours walking around and exploring the area. Good amount of history and we'll documented.

This little gem is tucked away along some of Allen’s best bicycle paths. Lots of picture taking opportunities can be found here.

It is a lovely park with plenty of different photographic options; the bridge, dam with waterfall and abandoned railroad tracks make this a desirable location. Add in grassy areas, woods and a bike trail and this becomes a wonderful space. I enjoy my visits here. The parking area is very small, but there is ample in the commercial areas near it.
