Midway Park

The only way to describe this would be that it is a place with shops and things to do places to walk and eat but it's perfect everything's perfect like Disney world. Definitely worth visiting.

Midway campground is awesome! Great staff, lovely lake, and close to Waco and all it has to offer. Pull through full hook up sites are next to the road so they can be noisy but other sites within the campground are not as noisy. COE campground so rates are reasonable. The restrooms are dated but very clean. The sunsets are stunning.

Such a nice park! They allow travelers to use their showers, which is hard to find. Didn't stay long, just long enough to shower and back on the road I went. Grounds were clean. Restrooms/showers were way more clean and lit than expected for a camp ground. Thankful for the wonderful service!

Campsites are long and paved, but some are quite sloped. The sites are well shaded. It's a beautiful park. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

The park is well maintained and very serene. Had some issues with fire ants at our second cabin but no mosquitoes. Also, with the burn ban in effect we couldn't have a regular campfire. However we had a really great time here and will be back to do some biking and hiking.

This park worth the visit for the spectacular view of the lake. There is plenty of picnic tables all around the park as well as inside the big gazebo that is located beside the playground. Lots of parking space available. This is a great place to put a blanket over the grass to lay down an enjoy the view.

I really enjoy the trails at Midway Park. You can access them from the campground as there is an abandoned road that connects it to the public park. The cedar tree forest feels magical in a way and the birds are all over the place...lots of variety of species too! They seem to be fairly used to human presence so they will fly and perch with you close by and are not easily spooked. This area is also easily flooded so at times after hard rains some parts of the trail are impassable. Go experience it for yourself and make sure to get off the trail sometimes. Lots of beautiful hidden places to explore.

Great COE campground to use while traveling. We enjoyed our stay at a great price with our lifetime senior national park pass.

Very beautiful, clean, peaceful. Spots 1-6 or so are close to the lake. Black birds are loud as heck.
The rule about no open carry needs to be corrected..this is Texas after all. Not CA

So much fun here. The trees are beautiful everyone around the camp site is so respectful and quiet. WE WILL BE BACK.

Really nice park to camp! Has electricity and water. Restrooms are decent and have showers. Highly recommend it for a getaway!

Always nice and quiet, clean bathrooms and plenty of picnic tables in the shade. Ample parking, well maintained playground. Large grass area for some casual softball or ball sports. Grouping of large tables under a roof in the middle of the field which can be reserved in advance.

Good quiet alternative to its sister park which is a bit busier against the lake shore next door.

Super nice park with roomy sites, many with a view of the lake, and friendly and helpful staff. Location is convenient to Waco shopping and attractions.

This is a beautiful spot even just to sit for a minute and relax. I love looking at the water. Today, it was blue because the weather was clear and cool. I saw some geese. I just needed to decompress for a bit and this is my favorite place for that.

Great park and attendant was very helpful and made our family feel welcome. We will definitely be back.

One of the cleanest and welcoming parks in Texas. Yes, there are improvements being done but the park is nice.

Very good campground, small and never crowded, has a great boat ramp and plenty of trees around the campsites.

Very nice RV camping place and only paid $13.00 with an American the Beautiful. Most of site are under larg tree, it very helpful in summer time. I have the site about 50 yards to the water. Did some catfishing and caught 2 for dinner. Will come back again.

We were fishing...caught a decent catfish. Always a beautiful sunset!

Great gem tucked into this lake. Most sites are super level, with beautiful picnic table areas and fire rings. Some sites are double wide, as well. Lots of trees and shade.
