BrewLab Coffee

this is my favorite coffee shop on campus!! lots of variety of drinks. i love their oatmeal cookie latte. the service is wonderful and they are very willing to replace a drink if it needs milk substitutions. their pastries are also very yummy!! great pairing with a drink. great place to bring a friend, and very cute atmosphere that is wonderful for studying. the workers have a great attitude and the general manager is sooo friendly <3

I love this cafe! Everything is great from the service, the coffee, and drink and food items. The shop itself is lovely with lots of plants and local goods for sale along with whiteboard you can draw on. It's a really fun environment! The food tastes great and the baristas are knowledgeable and friendly!

Best coffee on green street. Serves drinks you would not necessarily find elsewhere, such as macchiato and cortado. good ambiance but nothing fancy. The pastries are well made enough but not the highlight.

Sadly didn’t take any pictures while here but I came here to study since I had a gift card and I love the amount of seats they have inside, as well as electrical outlets to charge all of your devices when studying! It can get a little noisy inside so if you really need some quiet, I may consider going else where. But overall I did like it and would come back again!

This is a very cute little coffee shop! A decent menu with a variety of drinks and coffees and a nice little baked goods section! Folks here are friendly too!

This place has the honor of being the closest shop to my apartment, thus, my most frequented coffee shop. I spent 3 years of my college career not going here, but I’m so happy I moved in next door. The staff is always friendly and fun, and the coffee is good. My best friend and I would meet here regularly and just spend hours talking and laughing. I’m happy that I got to spend so much time here, I’ll miss this place!

Great place to have coffee in the university town. I have been coming here every time I am in town. Great ambience to sit down and enjoy. They also have a variety of coffee beans.

Great place! The coffee is fantastic and the space is perfect for working in. Space is clean with steady tables and plenty of outlets to plug into. The clean and creative atmosphere makes for a great place to work on creative projects or just hangout.

Had an amazing time here when I was visiting Champaign. Situated at the east side of the UIUC campus, Brew Lab is easily accessible from buildings around the Main Quad such as the Altgeld Hall and the Illini Union. They offer classic espresso drinks, cold brew, a few selections of single-origin pour-overs, and an extensive list of loose leaf tea.
After asking for recommendations, I ordered the Kigoma from Huye, Rwanda, a washed processed light-medium roasted beans from Counter Culture. The pour-over is made on a copper V-60. The drink is rich and flavorful. The sweet and slightly bitter taste gives a strong toffee note, a hint of vanilla, and a mild citrus fruit acidity.
I also tried out the iced cascara tea. Light, refreshing, fruity, with notes of raisins and Chinese dates. A very unique drink.
In my view, BrewLab is the best coffee shop in town, and I highly recommend to check it out!

I think brewlab is definitely the greatest place for coffee or tea on campus. I'm typically not one to drink coffee, but the chai tea latte is amazing and I'll get it every single time I go, which is often because it's my girlfriend's favorite place. When I'm there, the staff are very nice and I enjoy the vibe of the sit-down area. Even the food I've tried has been very good! The spinach and feta croissant is my go to.The only downside to going to brewlab is that it is slightly more expensive than your average coffee shop, but it's not as bad as espresso royale R&D so it can't be that bad. Also the taste is by far worth it

I accidentally found this place on Google, and decided I needed to visit. They had an early bird sale for $2 off holiday drinks, so I headed in before work. I normally would have gotten a plain latte to test them out first, but opted to try the 'Merrymint Mocha' to take advantage of the deal. It was probably the best coffee drink I've ever had. It wasn't sickly sweet like starbucks holiday drinks. I fall into a trap working so close to Starbucks, when I want better coffee I usually hit Harvest Markets coffee bar, but it's nice knowing that if I'm running early for work I can drive a bit further for exceptionally better coffee.

Why was this place not here when I was in college?!? I love it so much. I'll be back for sure.

Top grade coffee. Can compete with any third wave shop in the big cities. Great atmosphere and wifi.

BrewLab is an incredible and cute little coffee shop with delicious flavors of coffee and treats where you can also have a place to sit and relax, do homework, and meet a friend, all while close to campus!
