I usually order pizza at Newk's,so I thought I would try the salad. I had the Greek and my friend had the Cobb. Both were fresh and portions were very generous.

Newks is one of my favorite restaurants hands down! Tonight we ordered a bowl of lobster bisque (rich), a Newks favorite Salad (with grilled chicken, grapes, artichoke hearts, cranberries, croutons, mixed greens, and pecans tossed in a bsalmic vinaigrette dressing), a slice of caramel cake (their cakes are GOOD) and a Mediterranean pizza (cauliflower crust, add $3). The Mediterranean pizza was GREAT! All of our food was delicious! We got all of this for $40. Plus if you're a rewards member you earn free food with purchases. I'll definitely be back! Food is consistently good, service friendly, food always fresh!

Update: ordered new promotion Greek Goddess Salad and added a side of Cajun Shrimp to the salad. It is AMAZING! The salad has sliced chicken already in it with feta, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, and romaine lettuce. The salad comes tossed in an avocado dressing which is creamy and tasty! Great summer salad!

Clean atmosphere, large portions for the price. Food is served looking just like the pictures on the website. The staff is quiet, but very helpful and polite. I'm a pilot, so you know we're always looking for the best deals and tasty food. This is definitely a place I'd come back to when in town again. I had the Newts club and the loaded potato soup and both were great! I'm a big guy, but it filled me up. It's not uncommon to see people leaving with to-go boxes though. I spent $14.84 and am very satisfied. I only wish I took a picture of my food before I ate it.
You won't be disappointed, try Newts if you have a chance.

Always enjoy food from Newks. Love the Newks Q sandwich; today I really enjoyed the Lobster bisque soup. My kids loved the Mac n’ Cheese and pizza. Went at about 5 o’clock and it was pretty empty. Restaurant was clean and staff were friendly.

I am not local to this area, but met my daughter to eat as she's attending UAB. They took my order immediately, recommended what was their favorite menu items, they were patient with me when I had forgotten my card in the car. The food was delicious! They were so sweet to my young son as well. I will definitely make a habit of eating here when I visit Birmingham!

Good food with lots of choices. Fast and friendly service. Parking can be an issue if you don't get there early. Comparable to fast food prices but much better food. My son and I go at least once a month since we work close together near the restaurant.

Food is always fresh. The only problem I ever have is they get very confused when I ask them not to put my toasted Parisian bread (side that comes with my soup) in a plastic container with a lid and instead just wrap it in sandwich wrapper.

I do this because I think it's wasteful to use the clear plastic containers for toasted bread and also because putting toasted bread in a plastic container makes it soggy.

They're usually really nice about it but it causes a tremendous amount of confusion each time.

Convenient to UAB. Helpful team. Quick service. Generous portions of tasty food. Busy at lunch but a quick in and out.

Newks in Birmingham is serving breakfast and let me tell you, it's really good. I had the scrambled egg bowl with rosemary roasted potatoes and my wife had the blueberry French toast. This is the only location that serves breakfast, so hopefully it does well enough to make this company wide. If we lived here, this would be our new breakfast spot.

The salad is enormous and the tuna was of higher quality than I had anticipated. Perfectly sweet without overpowering the salad, the dressing is a blend of ginger and wasabi. In order to add some interest, I added jalapeño peppers. It was an unexpected banquet worthy of a monarch.

Last night me and my husband who is a restaurant manager went into Newks late almost closing time (without realizing the time). We were greeted by a floor person who gave us a warm welcome and even complimented our cute baby and told us congratulations which was so nice. A manager took our food order with ease and a smile and we were just floored by how nice everyone was. We have the worst experiences with restaurants at certain times but they surely did not disappoint last night. We both ordered the Italian sub and I got a salad and my husband got a soup and it was so on point and still fresh and delicious even at closing hours. We enjoyed our meal and asked for a Togo box so we didn't hold them up too long as we both know it's rude to sit in a place after hours. The manager never rushed us or batted an eye at all. We were talking about how great the service was basically our whole time there. It's very nice to feel welcomed and wanted in a restaurant now days as most people seem to not even want you there half the time. We will definitely be back and we will definitely recommend this location to everyone we know! Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication to hospitality. It really came through!

This Newks location is located near the Kirklin Clinic downtown Birmingham. The food is delicious and made fresh to order. All of the cooks wear gloves, a huge plus! There are many items to choose from on the menu: salads, soups, sandwiches, delicious desserts, etc.... this restaurant is very clean. The employees are very accommodating and very friendly and have wonderful manners. The music is not too loud which is another big plus! You will not be disappointed if you visit this place! Every time I come to downtown Birmingham and I'm hungry this is my go-to!

Food's great, new menu items, desserts and drinks. Will be back to eat there anytime. I had the sausage and pepperoni pizza with side of classic salad, sherry vinaigrette tossed on my salad instead of my usual on the side and s large drink..

The Italian sandwich was delicious and was served to me within 3 minutes. That's fast especially for some restaurants nowadays .

Good food and I liked that I.could go inside to order and eat on Sunday when all the other places I tried were drive thru only.

Friendly staff and the sandwich was killer! The Mac and cheese had an odd taste to it. I will definitely go back!

I love their chicken salad. It is delish!!! Some of the cashiers could greet their customers more friendly. Yet, overall, it is a good dining experience.

Everything was very clean, the staff was so friendly and the food was great!
