Super 8 by Wyndham Homewood Birmingham Area

This motel turned out to be an outstanding choice. The remodeled room was nice and had everything we needed. The bathroom was spotless and updated. The beds were very comfortable as were the pillows. The price was excellent for a quick trip and the bonus of feeling very safe there.

Stayed here as a pit stop on my way to Michigan back in July. Very nice check in staff and my room was fine. This place is great if you just need a night or two in the area. There’s nothing amazing nearby, so I wouldn’t pick this with the intention of walking anywhere for food/coffee, but a great, safe place to stay if you need to be near Birmingham.

First and foremost, a huge shout out to Lilyanna, she simply was outstanding with gold star customer services skills. She was very sweet, warm & welcoming while she checked us in. She made the check in process simple & pleasant. Any questions or requests were met with a smile & accommodated where they were available.

The room was relatively clean, but a bit outdated. The a/c worked wonderfully, the shower had good pressure with no problems getting hot water running and the bed was very comfortable. Very close to the I65 exits. Noise was not a problem. Coin-op laundry machines were available at a reasonable price.

We will visit again.

After a 12 hour drive from Southwest Florida, this hotel is what I needed. Tucked away "not too far" from the highway, but "far enough and nestled back in to an almost hidden area"

I had a needed view of "not cars", I opened my blinds and couldn't see cars, couldn't hear cars, just... A big hill and trees.

Everything else was fine... The "limited breakfast" left a bit to be desired, but I saw that when I booked the room, so not disappointed in it.

I have been coming here for 8 years and this is the only place I stay when I am in town. They are doing some updating and the results are amazing. The manager is very friendly and you can tell he is glad that I have chosen his hotel.

Located in Homewood,AL. adjacent to big city limits.
Easy to find on a steep hill ~6.2 miles from uptown Birmingham.
So, close to St Zoo +museums +anything a big city offers.
Very quiet and relaxing.
Good service. Great coffee +some breakfast snacks

This hotel was amazing. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. The hotel is in excellent condition. I highly recommend this location!!

Nice - clean - secure. My family and I are traveling cross country for a Military move and we were stopping in Birmingham. We first stopped first at a Quality inn and Motel 6 (which is across the parking lot from Super 8 ) and lets just say we did not even make it to the room. While we were about to give up on finding a nice CLEAN and SAFE place to sleep, I called Super 8 and Angela answered the phone. She was very helpful and kind when my husband went in to take reserve our room . When you walk in you can see that the entry is clean and updated,the rooms were clean and a complete 180 from some of the other hotels around here.

Good clean, well-stocked rooms, friendly staff and great prices, located in a very well travelled area. Parking lot is clean and well lit.

Has a little bit of a smell as you walk in but not a deal breaker. It was very quiet at night. Stayed for a week for work and seemed that most of the other guest got in late and left early. Bed was comfortable. It even had a computer in the lobby thst I was able to print out a few things for work on. Fitness center was adequate. Breakfast was limited but for this and all for less than $60 is was very pleased.

I have always gotten a clean room and a fair price at this hotel. The staff has always been very accommodating when I needed a late check out or other type of service. In addition, I have found the rooms to be spacious and conducive to any type of paperwork I needed to do. I will definitely use this hotel when I am in the area.

We stay at alot of Super 8's when traveling, this one is on top of the list. First, we were greeted by a very friendly staff. The lobby was in very good shape and seemed a little more classy than your normal Super 8. Our room was recently updated and was nice and clean. The only negative was the continental breakfast was a little disappointing, however, what do you expect with a value hotel? I'd rather keep my rates lower and forgo the breakfast.

My husband and I are Wyndham reward members and wanted to use our points and this hotel was the only one available in the area for us to utilize. We are from Florida so needless to say in reading some of the other reviews we were a little Leary. I must say that we were pleasantly surprised. The reception staff was exceptional and very accommodating!! So friendly and always willing to go the extra mile. Our room was clean and had recently been remodeled! We will definitely be back!!

Awesome staff, very friendly. Very clean room. Very fair price. The bed is super comfy and very clean, quality television. Very quiet and safe. We are happy customers! I was able to get a room here at the last minute when another so-called pet-friendly hotel in the area wouldn't allow my cat to stay there. Super 8 allows both cats and dogs! Staff was super friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. The free/included breakfast wasn't a luxurious buffet (cold food items only) but it filled my belly and got me on the road faster in the morning.

The room was clean and convenient. They offer microwave, coffee pot and fridge that others do not. It was quiet and relaxing. The only downside is the smallness of the room. A few extra feet of space would have been great.

Mae provided a very pleasant experience. I had already checked in and immediately checked out of a near hotel. Although it was late, she greeted me with a smile abd professionalism far above most! The room was very nice and comfortable; would definitely recommend!
