Groome Transportation

I traveled round trip from Birmingham to Atlanta International airport. Driver was on time, and we encountered no travel delays during our travel time. All passengers were respectful and quiet during the trip. The shuttle stopped at both the domestic and international terminals on arrival. As outlined on their website, when departing from the international terminal, one must take the connector bus back to the domestic terminal to catch the shuttle. Currently, the connector bus drops off in the same location as the Groome airport pickup location. Each Groome bus is clearly marked with its destination. The driver has an ipad with expected passenger information.

The trip costs $45 one way ($90 round trip). This was less than it would have cost to park for 1 week and pay for gasoline. Having said that, the trip cost is best for a solo traveler, since a 4-person family's Groome cost would be more expensive than driving a car. Perhaps there should be a multi-person discount to draw more couple/family interest.

Have used for personal transportation and for getting relatives to/from Birmingham to/from the Atlanta airport. Choosing to leave your car at the Leeds location allows you to park there instead of fighting/paying airport parking with easy access. VERY affordable and reliable.

Grabbed a Groome van on the way back from the ATL airport. We had booked for a later ride but saw a van waiting. Fred was able to get us swapped over to his van to save us some time. Very easy process and comfortable ride. Will be using again! Make sure you give Fred a raise!

The bus drivers to and from the Birmingham and Atlanta Airport was great. Their driving skills were great.
Both shuttles were early and we left on time. My first time to use (5 of us) and will definitely use again.

We've used Groome 3 or 4 times now to get to and from the Atlanta airport. They've been equally helpful when our flight arrived early, letting us get on the earlier shuttle since there was space, and when we had bad morning traffic on the way to the Birmingham office, transferring us to the next shuttle. I'm super happy this service exists, saving my family the 5 hour round trip drive whenever we fly into ATL.
For those looking to book, just be sure to leave ample time for traffic and the time change between AL/GA. Seems like there's always an accident or something on the way into ATL.
My only recommendation would be to ensure drivers set their GPS or whatever on their phone before they put the van in gear instead of in the first minute driving.

Great experience! Rode with Groome to and from Birmingham/Atlanta. Return flight to Atlanta arrived early and Groome was able to accommodate us on an earlier shuttle. Drivers were courteous and safe.

Perfect shuttle! Our van was full but everyone was respectful and quiet. We rode to Atlanta and arrived safely and on time. The seats were comfy and the driver very courteous. He loaded and unloaded our bags for us. Please tip the driver if you get good service...can you imagine making that trip (Bhm to Atl) multiple times EVERY DAY? It was worth every penny to be driven to Atlanta and dropped off right at the door to the airport. I will never make that drive again!

I will never drive to the Atlanta Airport again, I have my go-to transportation service from now on! Drivers are professional and friendly!

I booked a shuttle from here to Atlanta and then Atlanta to Chattanooga last week. I wanted to commend the staff for their professionalism. They were excellent. I originally wanted to leave out at noon but one of the drivers got sick so I had to be placed on a later shuttle. When I boarded the next shuttle one of the managers came out and thanked me for my understanding. I was blown away by his humbleness for thinking of me when I’m sure he was worried about his coworker too. It wasn’t a major issue about switching departing times but he was so cool about it. It really makes me want to go back to Alabama just for the awesome customer service and southern hospitality. I wish him the best and I wish I had gotten his name because he made a major impact on me!

Wonderful 1st experience with Groome Transportation! Our safe and respectful driver, Curtis Blase, provided an outstanding ride experience! He was on time, safe, friendly, respectful and a true gentleman. We rode from Birmingham to Atlanta with Curtis and then on the return trip, Curtis again was our driver. Everything was great. I had been traveling for about 5 1/2 hours before my shuttle arrived at its scheduled time which was 11:30. The driver actually arrived early and checked me in. He took my bags and put them on the van and escorted me onto the bus. He advised we would not be leaving for a few minutes so to sit tight. I must admit I was EXTREMELY nervous because it was pouring down in Birmingham which is where we were headed. The driver was a younger guy but sadly I don't remember his name. Once we were ready to leave he told us Good-morning and informed us of the rules as well as letting us know he would stop if we needed to use the restroom. Once the rain started my anxiety kicked in however, he drove perfectly. I felt really safe the entire way. He kept us updated with an ETA throughout the duration of the trip. Once we arrived he unloaded our bags and made sure we were in a safe location before he left. YOU CAN TIP YOUR DRIVER BTW. He definitely received one from me!

My first time using Groome and I loved it. On time, kept me informed, agile in changing my reservation when my flight was cancelled. A great deal! September- I used Groome again and had another great experience! So glad they were doing the driving in Atlanta traffic instead of me!

Love using Groome, as I travel frequently for both work and play. Oftentimes flights are significantly more expensive out of the smaller markets where I live, and having Groome as an option saves me time and money. I always enjoy my ride and drivers, and it gives me a chance to catch up on remote work while someone else takes me to airport. Convenient and cost effective option that I highly recommend.

I had a wonderful experience riding Groome Transportation!!! The driver Nicole was caring, friendly and a very experienced person in her field. She made the trip from Atlanta to Birmingham so steady and fast, and most important so safe and joyful. It was a very pleasant trip back home and I will be waiting for my next one. I will recommend it to anyone.

I booked this for my son to and from Atlanta airport and it was a great service! He said it was a quiet ride to and from. We will definitely use the service again. They are on time most importantly! I’m about to book services again and decided to give this review because more people need to know about this in Birmingham! I have recommended this to friends and family!

Excellent service from door to door. There was a large van waiting outside of the building so i knew where to go. Inside the building you can wait, use the restroom, and use the vending machine to grab snacks. Watch the clock because the drivers are very prompt.
The ride to Atlanta was easy and smooth. Air conditioning made the ride comfy but bring a jacket or blanket just in case you’re cold natured. The driver was friendly and never used the phone/computer while the van was moving. I felt safe.
The Atlanta airport makes all passenger vans drop off at the south terminals so beware that you will have to walk a short walk across to the north terminals. Good experience! Wish I had known about this before.

This was my first time using this service and I was very pleased! I didn't have to wait a long time at the ATL airport like I thought I would. I walked outside and the shuttle was waiting right there! The office was clean and in a safe place in Birmingham. I will use this service again if and I have to and I recommend them to anyone else traveling between Atlanta and Birmingham. Oh and the price is very reasonable!

Me and my wife had so many delays in Atlanta that we would have missed our connecting flight. The earliest they could get us to our final destination was 11:00 PM the night before flying back home at 6:25 am the next morning. So needless to say we didn’t go. One call and a few minutes on the phone and our return trip back to Birmingham was changed from Sunday night to That night (Thursday night).
The driver was so nice we ended up being the only passengers back to Birmingham and talked almost all the way home. He was very personable.
Best shuttle service ever. Turned a bad day into a better day.
