Kris is incredible at what she does- color, cut, and styling! She always takes the time to listen to what you want and really does a consultation before she starts working. In the past (at other salons) I have had several bad experiences with stylists not listening or asking questions and have not been happy at all, so I really appreciate the time Kris takes to listen and work with you. This time around, my ideas weren't fully formed and the pictures I showed her for what I wanted were all very different but she still somehow managed to make my hair look exactly how I wanted it to. The salon itself is also really great, the other stylists are always kind, the front desk staff is so helpful, the environment is beautifully decorated, and every visit is an experience in itself. Love it!

I have been going to Salon U and having Ella do my highlights, cut, and style for many years. Ella is so talented and always such a professional. She is excellent with blondes! I am ALWAYS pleased with the results that she provides. I would highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a new stylist!

The entire staff is AMAZING. Coming to salon U is not just a haircut, it’s an entire experience. From the moment you check in, you instantly feel like a celebrity. Chris is so good at what she does and matches hair color exactly the way you want her to. The artwork, the beverages, and the service just add to the way you feel walking out of here. I will never go anywhere else!

Gwyn did my wedding hair and it was amazing. I met up with her to do a trial run at her Nashville location and while there I had a blast. She first requested both inspiration pictures for my updo and had me run through what I was imagining. She asked detailed questions to make sure we were on the same page and then got to work. Half way through we hit a snag with the style I wanted and my hair texture. Gwyn had so many ideas on how to achieve the look I wanted and end the end I loved her idea more than what I wanted initially.

On the day of my wedding Gwyn was amazing. She was prompt to arrive at the venue, had everything she needed to recreate the trial look, had the pictures from the trial look to double check everything with and was even able to manage adding in some hair tinsel to my hair that’d I’d forgotten to tell her I wanted. She was done With plenty of time to spare before pictures and my hair stayed up the entire night. (And now I have enough bobby-pins to last me a lifetime haha)

My over all I feel like I completely lucked out getting such an amazing stylist to do my wedding hair. The hair was beautiful and she was great.

Salon U is hands down the best salon in the Birmingham area and Paige Goodwin is 100 percent a magician when it comes to hair!!! I have been going here since 2015 to get my hair done by Paige. The Salon is beautiful and full of kind, smiling faces. They accept all people and have top tier customer service. Paige lights up the room with her smile and her contagious laugh. Her talent with color and cuts is so incredible and I always leave feeling so good about myself.

I recently visited Salon U and it was a great time. The decor was beautiful and the atmosphere was welcoming. My hair stylist Erika was incredibly kind and attentive, and she listened to what I wanted and gave me a stunning new haircut. The salon was spotlessly clean and well-maintained, and the staff were all friendly and I was welcomed with a cold beverage and a smile. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I would highly recommend Salon U to anyone looking for a friendly and welcoming environment to get their hair done right!

Been going here for years and have always had fantastic service and wonderful stylists.

I came here for the first time a few weeks ago to get a balayage color treatment. From the time I walked in to the time I left, I had a wonderful experience. I was super nervous because I have never colored my hair before, but Taylor made me feel extremely comfortable as soon as I sat in the chair. Since I have naturally black hair I didn’t want any blonde or very light tones. And he understood exactly what I meant. Yes, the price was steep. But I am very happy with the way my hair turned out. It’s been a few weeks and the color is still vibrant and my hair is still soft (I was scared it would feel dry and brittle afterwards).

Jason cut my hair. He did great. I have trust issues from a bad haircut and usually cut it myself. Also, I don't prefer cookie cutter stepford wives 2020 cuts and that can be difficult for some hair stylists. I described what I wanted and he did great at achieving the cut for me. And he used a straight razor for the fade on my neck, which I can't do at home, so.. Obviously, I'll be back.

This is my go to place for all my hair needs. Gwen is the ABSOLUTE BEST. She always goes above and beyond and brings my visions to life. Gwen and Nancy are the best tag team and if you want your hair to be looking better than ever, go to them!!!!

Do yourself a favor and book an appointment with Gwyn. She saved my hair!! I get daily compliments on my hair. Amazing cut, color, and stylist. She does the best color I’ve seen. Spotted her work on Instagram and knew I had to get on her schedule. No regrets years later.

With Nancy’s magic fingers and Gwynn’s impressive skills, the whole experience is luxurious.

Paige Goodwin at Salon U is an absolute pixie wizard! Not only is she insanely talented, but she LISTENS to exactly what I want and executes any cut I throw at her with maximum precision. She is friendly and welcoming; I so look forward to my regular pixie maintenance. I will continue to come back again and again for her, as well as the incredible salon vibe and wonderful front desk staff.
