Hessel Park Family Dentistry

The staff here are great, and if it wasn’t for Hessel Park I probably wouldn’t even go to the dentist… just being honest. Every time I stop in I feel so welcomed and every member of the team works so hard to make you feel at ease. They also work with you to help you through payment options which is a great plus that some other offices cannot say they have.

The staff is friendly and made my daughter feel safe and comfortable. She said that she loves this dentist more than any shes been to. I would highly recomend Hessel Dentistry!

I’m 72 years old, and this is the best dental care I have received in my entire life. I’ve found every staff member to be courteous, understanding, and attentive. They go above and beyond when it comes to addressing my needs and making me feel relaxed and comfortable. Dr. Nielsen’s work, bedside manner, and results are top-notch. I have complete faith in her and her team.

Everyone was very nice and each area (sign in, billing, treatment) were knowledgeable and professional. Dr. Nielsen and her assistant were awesome as well! I am very happy with my care here and that’s why I travel over an hour to get there!

I was happy with my new patient experience at Hessel Park Family Dentistry. I appreciated my hygienist, Christina. She sincerely listened to my concerns and made the visit as comfortable as possible. I will definitely continue with them.

Staff was nice, I got right in didn't have to wait a long time. The Doctor and her Assistant were great. I plan to return in the near future to get other work I need done to my teeth.

Helped me get a prescription after normal hours due to a fiasco at the pharmacy, also still got me in when one provider was out due to family emergency. Everyone really went above and beyond!

The staff is very friendly. After my cleaning it was found I needed a crown, they were able to get me in the next day to prep for the crown. Dr. Nelson was very nice and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend Hessel Park Family Dentistry.

I’ve been going to Hessel Park for years and previously had a very high opinion and would often recommend other graduate students to their office, both for regular cleanings and for more extensive work since I had to get a lot of work due to an accident and everyone was great at explaining treatments, options, and costs.

Recently, I had an experience that left me feeling uneasy. I had a different hygienist than I usually do and she said that my wisdom teeth weren’t looking good. When Dr. Nielsen (I usually have Dr. Stevenson) came by, she spent a short time looking at my teeth, said nothing about my wisdom teeth, and had completely left before the hygienist called her back to take a look at my x-rays and Dr. Nielsen said I should get them taken out. I knew that they would have to come out eventually but no concerns had been raised for the past four years that I’ve been coming to the same office. It was unclear to me if anything changed with my wisdom teeth that makes it more imperative to get them out now. When I asked when I should get them taken out, she couldn’t really provide an answer and seemed like she was in a hurry so I didn’t get a chance to ask if there had been any change to my teeth that had raised these concerns. I usually feel like this office does a really good job of explaining treatment plans and issues so this really caught me off guard and the visit left me feeling very unsure as to the state of my teeth.

Additionally, I usually get asked if I want fluoride and told how much it costs while I’m in the chair so I wasn’t surprised when I had a balance due at the counter. This hygienist just asked me if the flavor was okay and applied it. As I mentioned, I refer graduate students here so I would hate for anyone to be surprised by an additional cost or not have the opportunity to deny this treatment if wanted. Not as important, obviously, but I think a really nice touch of this office is that they usually ask what toothbrush you use so they can get you a compatible head if you have an electric one and I was not asked this time. Not a big deal, but given everything else, it added to the feeling of this being a really rushed and uncomfortable appointment.

I had a appointment today I didn't feel so comfortable the dentist made me feel shame by asking me why are my teeth missing instead of telling me what I need to make my teeth look better the dentist didn't follow up with me someone from the front desk followed up with me she also checked me in upon my arrival I felt unattended by the dentist

Way, way better than my last dentist. Proper diagnosis & prompt action led to a “nonrecoverable” tooth to be removed. Last dentist ignored my pointing out there was a problem (infection).

Just had my first cleaning at Hessel Park Dentistry. Was one of the best experiences I’ve had at a dental office in years.

I am so grateful for them, had an emergent issue and they were able to take care if me fast and they really cared.

The hygienist, office staff, and dentist were professional and caring. And while the office was hopping with patients, they got me in and out on time and with kindness.

Dr Nielsen was very thorough & very polite. She was honest in telling me what I needed to have done. She took the time to take care of more than I was scheduled for today so I wouldn’t have to make an extra long distance trip. I’m very impressed with her, her tech & the entire office! It is a super clean & efficient office.

I have had a great experience with Hessel Park Family Dentist. Their staff is very friendly and they communicate well. Your comfort is very important to them and they act with kindness. Front desk staff knows how to check your insurance and accurately tells you what is covered and what your cost will be. (Five stars just for that!) . I highly recommend!
