Very nice people. Exactly what you need when dealing with a sick or dying pet. Most are students. Animal lovers themselves of course. Good experiences, under trying circumstances.

Brought my sweet-angel-bean in because she ate the liquid packet from a package of chicken. The staff here were all so kind and very patient (my dog has a lot of opinions) and the main vet explained all my options from multiple angles. They took care of her swiftly and we are on our way home! I would highly recommend bringing your precious, garbage-eating monsters here.

This is the best veterinary clinic in town, hands down. Yes, you talk to students for the initial check, but I love that! Everything is overseen by a doctor and everyone is so kind and sincere. All tests and treatments are explained in full and the doctor never tries to push things on us that our cats don't really need. We've already seen significant improvements to our cats medical issues under the care of this vet.

U of I vet clinic has been a God-send! With our small zoo (3 large dogs, a cat, and a bearded dragon), I have tried many vet clinics over the years. This clinic is the most thorough, caring, and reasonably-priced around. As an added bonus, their emergency clinic is across the street and fully integrated, should it be needed. 🐊🐱🐶🐶🐶 👌🤗

I took my 15 week old puppy to this clinic and couldn’t have asked for a better place to go. Everyone was very welcoming and professional from the moment we walked in the door. The education the veterinary students is absolutely profound and I could tell that they take great care to ensure everything is going smoothly. If I could give them ten stars I would! Five from me and five from Freya (my Bernese). Keep up the great work!

The Doctors and staff at the UofI Small Animal Clinic are incredibly nice and of course professional. There was no doubt at any time that our birds were in excellent hands. We live about an hour and a half away, so it is no small decision to go there specifically. I had always heard they were very expensive and you only go there when your pet has some major condition. That couldn't be farther from the truth. They have similar prices to all of the other clinics we have been to in the past.

Only place in the area I could find to treat my domestic duck. Friendly staff. I feel like they work with me a little on pricing as well. Very up front about the costs during every visit.

The INTERN, Vet. Tech's, and staff who cared for my "fur-daughter" during her pregnancy were GREATER than FANTASTIC!! I recommend the South Clinic Primary Medicine to anyone who wants their pets treated by FAMILY. What a wonderful group of people. Their devotion to superior care of animals exceeds all possible expectations. Thank you to all!

My Ali had her teeth cleaned by Dr Fehr and his outstanding staff today!! It was a great experience from the super friendly, efficient front desk staff to the technicians. Dr Fehr was very good at explaining everything that my dog was going to go through and what needed to be done. I can see why he’s at a teaching hospital, he’s got a passion for sharing his knowledge!

I don’t live in CU full time anymore but will always come back to visit family, friends and work in a way to get check ups, teeth cleanings at the Vet Med south clinic when I’m back!

When it comes to any of my pets’ care, I can’t recommend Dr. Pavlovsky enough! He’s seen a few of my pets over the past 4 years (at his previous clinic and now since coming to the South Clinic). He’s incredibly thorough, patient, and compassionate. I recently brought my cat in to see him and I felt so involved in my pet’s care - something I don’t always experience with other vets. We discussed how to manage some of his chronic issues and I hadn’t even considered some of the things he asked me about when it came to my home environment and how it affects my cat’s health. He listened to all of my concerns, and there wasn’t a single moment that made me feel like he was too busy for me or had other things to do while attending to my cat.

Whether it’s my happy-go-lucky cat or aggressive dog that he worked with years ago, I’ve never had a doubt in the quality of care my pets receive.

The entire check in and check out process in the midst of COVID was so smooth. From scheduling the appointment to check out, everyone was so sweet. I’ll definitely be back :)

I want to say that you guys took not only excellent care of my old boy, Spice in his final moments, but of us, the owners as well. You went above and beyond the call of duty both times I brought him in, and you all were extremely understanding and took phenomenal care of him when we decided it was his time to go. I will be bringing my pets from here now on. Thank you for everything you guys have done!

Best place for my pets and wonderful care for my Greyhound Sophia. She is always happy to go here - that tells me a lot about how they treat her!!

Very patient and knowledgeable. I brought my rabbit here for a wellness check/pre-steralization. They did an excellent job with my bunny boy.

Due to my legs (neuropathy), I was unable to give antibiotic to my parrot by mouth ( I had to capture him first). I called to see if they could give my parrot a shot instead, luckily they could. What a relief! Also, they help me get my parrot in and out of the car due to my legs. I was so appreciative.

Our cat Bob receives the best care ever ai the U of I vet clinics! ❤

I thought it was a little pricey, however the quality of care outweighs that factor. Would def recommend and will be going back.
