Bunny's Tavern

January 14, 2024 - Bunny’s is a great getaway to have a meal, meet for drinks or watch a game. Hidden off Race behind Main Street, Bunny’s is an iconic fixture of Urbana.

We met friends for a late breakfast before going to the Illinois basketball game. The staff greeted us warmly, provided us menus and brought drinks as soon as we arrived. The food was hot and fresh without a long wait.

I haven't been in Bunny's in years! But requested carryout from them after surgery. SO SO GOOD! First thing my husband says is we need to come back more often cos the atmosphere was awesome he said. And that was before our food! Looking forward to returning soon!

The food is amazing at Bunny's!!!!! My favorite is the shrimp tacos on Thursdays! I believe they toast the tortillas so they're lightly crispy, the shrimp is some of the best I've ever had, they garnish the tacos with a little bit of lettuce and you can get shredded cheese, ranch other condiments if you like!

We loved the atmosphere!! Well made food with a diner feel. We sat outside on the patio,, along with a couple who brought their dog. Our food was good and the price was right.

Great food, great service and great establishment. The Philly cheese steak Tuesday special was excellent! You can't go wrong with anything you order here!

I'm scared to review this as it lends to a good argument to increase prices, but I love this place. I can't speak to the rest of the menu, but the burgers are fantastic and reasonably priced. The staff always takes excellent care of my table. I only rate the atmosphere as 4 stars because the room I usually manage to get a seat in (because they understandably have a lot of business) appears to be their party room and it seems relatively bland (to leave room for party decorations?).
In any case, I hope Bunny's keeps doing what they're doing.

Had lunch on Friday. Hamburger, fries, chicken and noodles. Very good. Chicken and noodles were the Friday lunch special. Very affordable by today's standards. Good service.

Stopped in before a show at Nolas, short walk over and quick service. Shrimp tacos on the dinner special of the day were super good. Fries were fresh and pizza hit the spot!

Got food and drinks very reasonable prices our server was great suggested good drinks also had a chicken sandwich and fries was all good a great way to spend New Year’s Eve

Delicious food. Good prices. Great beer selection. Music, indoor/outdoor dining, slots… this place has it all.

A wonderful and lively bar! The restaurant is divided into three areas; an outdoor patio under a roof, an indoor bar, and a dining area. The dining area looks crisp and clean. The bar area has well maintained gambling machines and is decorated with newspaper clippings dating back to the 1930s. One detailed the end of prohibition. The bar itself is lovely.

I went for lunch and got the ribs. The french fries were well seasoned and cooked. The onion rings were delicious and didn't slide out of the batter, and the ribs were tender and juicy and had a great barbeque sauce on them.

Love, love, love the Tuesday special: chicken fillet, mashed potatoes and green beans. Amazingly delicious. Some of the best and most flavorful comfort food.

They have great service. A must try.

Highly recommend. One of my favorite local joints. Burgers are great. Super juicy and tasty. Fried pickles are some of my favorite I've had. They have the best homemade dressings (ranch, blue cheese, and 1000 island are great). Breakfast is tasty. Staff is great and always has a smile. I go there a lot. Stick to the bar food because that's where they excel. Here are my recommendations.

Burgers (bacon Bleu and holey cheese&shroom are my faves)
Fries
Fried pickles
Cheese curds
Onion rings
Hangover stack (basically super biscuits and gravy)
Stuffed waffles

Turkey pastrami
Cobb salad

Food is amazing. Best beef tenderloin I ever had. The beer chili is amazing and staff very friendly. After your done eating, hop next door to enjoy live music. This is now my go to.

Delicious food at a great price! The staff is friendly and quick despite it being busy on a Saturday!

I really dig the food here. Great tavern food. The fried mushrooms are classic, and the spicy cheese curds are incredible. Can't recommend them enough. I really like their ribs here when they got em. Never too smokey. If a sandwich on their menu sounds good to you I can guarantee it is.

The people working here rule. Always quick and kind. Can't recommend enough if you're craving classic American tavern food.

Great food. We were travelling and found Bunny's Tavern. Saw that they had a Walleye Sandwich for their Friday Special. It was a crazy deal for the price. Awesome local beers on tap also!

Cool little bar! I had never been here before but I went with a friend who recommended it. I had the Bunny's Porker which was a cheeseburger with pork belly on top. It was really good and perfectly done. The service was top notch, and our drinks were never empty. Next time I'm down in Urbana-Campaign, I'll definitely head over there again.

They were very busy for Friday fish. got there a little early. the fish could have been a little bit more fresh but the overall food scene was really really good and the service was impeccable
