We just went here for a LARGE banquet party (90 people) and they did an excellent job hosting us. We ordered salad, pizzas and sodas. Everything was excellent and we had leftover because of their generous portions.

If you need a space for large groups (or not) come here!!!

Okay, I still love the buttery, flaky crust of Lou Malnati's the most... But Papa Del's just gave us the greatest vegan pizza experience ever. The deep crust is like a fresh loaf of bread. SO good with non-dairy mozzarella!! Great service, great Bitburger N/A beer. Just an awesome meal. Thanks guys!

We came here on Saturday night/afternoon. The server was good. The drinks came out strong and delicious. The deepdish pizza was amazing. The place was clean. We git seated right away. They also have plenty of parking.

We've been going here for years, and I would say this place has really good deep-dish pizza. The best in town.

The price is high though but the quality is great.

My family and I came in for the Northwestern vs. Illinois game. First time here in Champaign and first time at Papa Del’s. We had Cody R. as our server and he was great; The food was even better! We got an XL thin crust pizza and it exceeded our expectations!! A wonderful experience!

Awesome pizza, good service, cool modern restaurant. Papa Dells is a "can't miss" experience for U of I grads. My friend lives in California and he hand carried TEN pizzas on the flight home!

I really enjoy both the deep dish and "thin" crust. The price is on the high side but the quality is excellent. I'm a pepperoni fan but their crumbly chunks of sausage are wonderful. If you've got the "cheddar", I'd recommend eating Papa Del's and then take a food-coma nap. Our company had a party upstairs and it's glorious to walk into a room dedicated to different varieties of Papa Del's pizza. I swear that I heard an angel choir as the sun beamed down onto the pizzas. Oh, and they have desserts.

Food is good it will take some time but the restaurant is up front about that. If it were me I would just figure out how to get the pizzas to come out faster and avoid the confusing nature of it all together. Kid and family friendly great atmosphere.

Polite staff, roomy and clean facility. Nice modern layout although I hate the fact that a pizza place has gambling machines... come on guys. Put a few arcade games in and you'll find families having more fun while they wait for their pizza to cook. A neo geo multi game system and maybe a pair of pinball machines would suffice. The food is good... just add a game or two please.

Heidi was are waitress that did an exceptional job in recommending the deep dish being worth the wait. Great job in providing plenty of drink refills.
Even the cookie sundae dessert was 5 stars. Won’t need to eat for a couple days. Happy and deep satisfaction afterwards!

We travel everywhere for work and we stumbled upon this place the pizza is absolutely amazing the meat balls are great completely happy!

I consider this the best pizza in the world! I love pizza of all types, but my favorite is the deep dish. Papa Del's has always done it right. Been a long time fan.

Great stop when in town visiting U of I or taking a quick detour off of the highway. The Sicilian pizza is phenomenal. It's a thick pizza so make sure to have plenty of time or call ahead. Cool building with a nice vibe. It's hard to not get the pizza when I'm there but the pasta dishes also look very good.

Have frequently visited this location for pizza. Papa Dels is a local pizza place that specializes in deep dish pizza, but also has regular thick crust and thin crust pizza options as well. The sausage is large and the ingredients are always great. Good sauce, very robust tomato flavor. I have gone here for lunch special as well good value for lunch. Kinda pricey for the whole pizza, but worth it if that's the kind of pizza ypur looking for. Great sit down area and great for hosting parties

I come back to Illinois to visit friends/family, that's what I tell everyone. The Midwest has the best pizza ever and this place did not disappoint. Really good beer selection and amazing deep dish pizza. I must go back on my next visit.

Best deep dish around and the thin is excellent also. Getting a slice for lunch (or 1/2 price 2-4) is fast, but call ahead 45min if you are ordering a whole pizza.
Also a great place for a solar talk.

Always a great meal when we come to Papa Del’s. The Chicago style pizza is our go to. We’ve never had a bad meal though.

I was caught off guard by not being allowed to place an order for a pizza with a specific pick up time a couple of hours in advance. I was trying to place the order on my lunch break at work to pick up on my way home. I was told to call back closer to time.

Dear Papa Del's - you do you, boo! PD's is seriously one of the best pizza places ever and they have continued to be this fabulous for over 30 years. And they have other fun foods such as the amazing squash soup which seems unlikely in a pizza place but was so very tasty. and it's a great location too - it's an old coca cola bottling plant that has been renovated & is amazing!

Best place to enjoy the authentic deep dish pizza!! Try their garlic bread as well.
Pizza can be made Vegetarian friendly too!
It takes almost an hour to get the pizza on your table so order in advance or go with expectations to sit for a while. One can order a drink in a mean time too🙃

We hosted a private luncheon in one of Papa Del’s upstairs event spaces, and it was wonderful! Keith was a pleasure to communicate with leading up to the event, and he was also on site to coordinate. We pre-ordered food for 50 people and had our own designated bar and bartender for the entire event. The bar has dozens of drink offerings, and there are plenty of TVs for watching sports. We’d definitely consider hosting a future event with Papa Del’s.

I have been a great fan of Papadels since late 1970's. I live 3 and half hours away but business takes me to Champaign county several times a year. I make a point to order the deep dish pizza.
At my age I probably shouldn't have all the carbs. You need to understand that at certain times the pizza is so popular that service suffers. There are long waits. One trick that I do is as I drive down from Rockford and round the corner at Bloomington it's a good time to call in the order for a deep dish. The average time from order to pulled from oven is about 50 minutes. I love their pizza so much that I bought one of there T shirts. Up in my area of the country Lino's in Rockford and Georgio's in Crystal Lake have good pizza, but Papadel's is still my favorite. I have been told that Chicago has pizza every bit as good as Papadel's. Buy why take the risk. Ken Griffin owner of Citadel (formerly Illinois richest person) moved his corporate headquarters out of Chicago onto Florida because of crime.
