This woman is either afraid everybody is going to sue her or really just is incompetent. I went in there with a lot of pain in my knee, knowing I needed a MRI. Unfortunately in our dumb system we have to get Doctor's orders for stuff we already know we need. So I went to the closest place.

When she came in she sort of knew what happened to my knee. This is how the exchange went:

Me: So, what is your opinion. Do you think I should get a MRI?

Her: Well, that you can't bend it is not a good sign. It's also not good that it's swelling

Me: Well, right. That makes sense and I'm aware of that. Would you like to see the knee and do an exam or like, touch it or something?

Her: Oh (taken aback) um sure, let me wash my hands

(proceeds to draw a circle around my knee, doesn't put pressure, doesn't bend it, doesn't gauge pain, nothing)

(Stands up and washes her hands again)

Me: Um, okay so what do people in my position normally do?

Her: Well, some people go and get the MRI and then some are like ehhhh no I don't think I need one.

Me: Well, those would be the two choices.

Her: Do you need a referral to an orthopedic specialist?

Me: Is that where a medical professional that can actually tell me something helpful is?

Her: That is who we refer to, yes. Do you need anything for the pain?

Me: You don't know how much pain I'm even in. That's usually the 1-10 question that everybody asks. This has been a waste of time, I'll hobble out of here.

Do not see this woman unless you have the very simplest of ailments and just need an antibiotic or something. She's utterly useless otherwise.
