Update:
I went back a week later after the holiday rush and the experience was completely different. Thank you Jason (Manager) for being a great communicator.

Previous Review:
8:00 pm reservation was the only spot available when booked a week in advance. The steak house ran out of standard steaks and waited to tell us after we ordered drinks when seated at 8:15pm. They were kind enough to comp the old fashion and spinach artichoke app. Old fashion was served with chopped ice... FYI a good old fashion is made with a single block of ice.

Star rating updated for management response. Thank you.

Aja was amazing! Her recommendations were absolutely wonderful!! The bacon wrapped scallops were to die for and the ribeye was so tender and seasoned so well! The wine pairing was also very wonderful! We definitely will be back!

First timer. Good food and drinks. Good service. Made reservations and got right in at our slated time. Had the petite filet + crab cakes combo, and crème brûlée for dessert. Total for two with drinks, steaks and dessert plus tip was around $250.

Went here to celebrate our anniversary. We wanted somewhere special. The steaks were done to a turn. They were very tender. Nice selection of greens in the salad. Our server was excellent. Attentive but not intrusive. We were given a anniversary cake that was delicious! They have a nice selection of wines.

Make this Your Go To. Upon entering, you will be welcomed, relax with a perfectly crafted beverage, followed by your high quality entree & perhaps a delicious, can't resist, desert to go. Perfect for your very special occasion or comfortable gathering with friends.

My first time here. I had read other reviews giving it praise. I’ve heard great reviews from word of mouth. It lived up to all. I knew the place was packed on a daily basis. I drive past it often; I don’t think it has a slow night. I made Reservations to ensure a table. Good thing I did 👍 Every table was full and so was every chair at the bar. The staff was excellent. Polite, friendly, & professional. My water glass was promptly refilled without asking and so were the sodas. The food was prompt and delicious. The cost was fair for the quality you get. Small down side: due to its small nature and being fully booked; it DOES get noisy. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant for a great Couples Night Out.

UPDATED REVIEW:
We have been to Porterhouse a number of times now and we will keep coming back! The service was great, as per usual. They have very tasty cocktails, pictured are a key lime martini and their pure margarita. We typically order their spinach artichoke dip for our appetizer, which is so cheesy & delicious and comes with fresh, hot bread! This time I opted for their French onion soup instead of salad, and it was very good. My husband had the Caesar salad this time, which he thought was good, but he prefers their spinach salad that comes with a warm bacon dressing. As for our entrees, I tried their sirloin this time and got a side of au gratin potatoes. My husband tried the New York strip that they had on special which had a Demi glacé sauce and onions. He always picks the baked potato for his side. Our steaks were delicious and cooked to our liking. Plus they always bring out a complimentary cake if you are there for a special occasion! We were too full for cake, so they sent it home with us.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
This was our first time dining at Porterhouse and it was a very enjoyable experience for the most part. It was quite busy there on a Monday night, so I’m glad we made reservations. The service started out a little slow as it took about 15 minutes to get the drinks we ordered, but after that the service went faster and much smoother for the remainder of the evening. It’s got a cool ambiance, with dimmed lighting. We were seated by the bar area, which was a little noisy if you’re looking for an intimate date night. The food was really great and we appreciated that salads and potato or vegetable were included with the entrees. We will definitely come back again because the steaks were so flavorful and it was a pretty good value.

What an incredible dining experience! My wife and I have always cherished our visits to this restaurant, but celebrating our wedding anniversary there took it to a whole new level of excellence. I kicked off the meal with the Jalapeño Bacon Wrapped Scallops, which were simply outstanding. Meanwhile, my wife savored a sumptuous lobster tail, and together we indulged in the Crab Stuffed Atlantic Salmon—absolutely mind-blowing! The portions were generous, and every dish was bursting with flavor. The service was top-notch, the menu offerings abundant, and the wine and spirits selection impressive. We were even treated to a delightful surprise with some delectable cake at the end of our meal. If you're searching for the perfect spot to celebrate with your special someone, look no further than Porterhouse—it truly exceeded all our expectations. If I could, I'd tack on 3 more stars!

Sara was a really patient, attentive, and kind server. She made our anniversary very special.
Our food was great too. The steak was really well prepared, very juicy and tender and had a good crust on the outside!
Thanks again!

Celebrated my anniversary here and was blown away. Our server was great, and we split the porterhouse, with added wallet fillet, and a side of French onion soup and baked potato. Absolutely phenomenal!

Our server brought us out a huge piece of white anniversary cake too. Certainly will be returning

The restaurant is beautiful and the staff were lovely and did an excellent job. Everything I ate was exceptional. The lobster was so perfectly cooked and tasted extremely fresh. Since the restaurant was called Porterhouse that is what I ordered. It was a perfect medium rare and absolutely delicious. The chefs are clearly very skilled and passionate and I could taste the love put into it. I highly recommend this place!

Porterhouse is such a classic. We had a small birthday dinner. Julee our server was excellent. I had the 28 oz Porterhouse cooked a perfect medium. They even brought some cake for the 50 year old birthday boy. Highly recommend.

Amazing food and excellent service. A bit on the speedy side but worth it for the amount of food. Had so much had to bring home leftovers. The steak is done the Oscar way I'm the picture and I'd recommend.

I only eat at the bar. The place is top notch with very friendly servers and bartenders. Try the blackened blue cheese steak, split the carrot cake with a date and you will love it.

Issie was quite busy while we were there, yet still pretty attentive and accommodating. I ordered a ribeye, rare. It wasn't just red, it was purple, yet there was a thick layer of black crust on it. To keep meat rare internally and create such a thick crust is masterful. I ordered a lobster tail as well, which was significantly less impressive. The tail was small and rubbery, certainly not worth what they charge for it. I've had lobster tails from far seedier joints which were cheaper, juicier and infinitely more impressive. Overall, however, the food was good, if a bit pricey. There are myriad regulars here, if only for the bar. You'll have to sock away some cash to afford a substantial meal. I can't say the ambience/atmosphere was particularly impressive (they should hire someone to make it more impressionable), but it was fairly cozy. I only went to this place because I was gifted a couple cards to offset the overall cost. I don't know that I would return, given that their locations are in far, outlying suburbs, and I have had much better within the city, where I live. But, you could do far worse. Just expect to spend more than you may wish.

First trip to Little Canada's Porterhouse, and I can say it was perfect. The drinks on point, the appetizers prefect, and the main course of steaks and king crab legs was also perfect. Dessert was also delicious and a great way to cap off a fantastic meal.

We've long eaten at the Lakeville location, ( which is close to our house) which has always been excellent, best place in Lakeville to eat, and it's not surprising, but this location held the same exact standards of excellence.

Out with a good friend tonight so we skipped pictures.

1st time here, had an excellent experience. We were here to celebrate my wife's birthday. Staff was very accommodating. Our waitress Izzy was a peach. She meet our every need with a smile on her face and a spring in her step. Drinks where great, I recommend the barrel aged Old Fashioned. My steak and lobster were cooked to perfection. My wife's sirloin was cooked the same. Excellent selection of salads and sides.. This won't be the last time we're here for sure.

Porterhouse has the best food of any restaurant in the area. The atmosphere is great. Our server, Sara, went over and beyond . Her attention to our needs was perfect and not overbearing. The price is high but worth it. They are so busy that you need to be sure to get a reservation in advance.

All I can say is “it was great” from the server to the birthday cake at the end. Could not have been better food. Wonderful walleye strips, and the steaks were the best ever. No room for disappointment here!’
