Excellent place to spend a good time with kids, playing games, bbq, picnic and walking. The day I visited there’s was also an event, there were a couple of food trucks, people grilling some meet and a little bounce house. There was enough space for everyone to feel comfortable.

Great place for birthday parties. Enough place for kids to play around. I have seen two lodges and in south lodge there are around 7 tables and a great kitchen with sink, fridge, oven and trash can. Two restrooms accessible only when we book the lodge (I think it cost around $125). Two reserved parkings with wheelchair accessible facility.

Went to a birthday party at one of the shelters. It was very clean and open with a full kitchen. Perfect setup for a large gathering.

Large space for small COVID-safe gathering - windows and doors open, ceiling fans, seating outside, large outdoor grill and huge lawn for lawn games.

As a Freemason my royal arch chapter comes here every year to have our picnic to get together with our families and everyone and enjoy the company and both the atmosphere and view is amazing; and with the park for the kids right there it's amazing for the entire family I enjoy it thoroughly.

The lodges are really nice for a picnic party. The South Lodge is well appointed for all seasons with tables counters, sink, stove, fridge and plenty of plugs for crockpots. The centrally located fireplace looks great and seems large enough to heat the space. The building has attached bathrooms with doors outside. There is also a great playground easily accessible from both lodges and a pretty view of a fairly large pond. The water level is pretty low right now, but the geese and ducks still liked it. We will be back next year for another family gathering.

Its a very nice park with lots of small and large paths. There are lots of land forms and areas that are great to either look at or teach about for classes like geology, earth science, etc. My science teacher absolutely loves this place and she thinks it should continue to be open and free to the public (which it is) for purposes of learning, science labs, enjoyment, and relaxation for some people.

I had my baby shower there in September. The process was easy, I booked it online. You have to create an account in order to sign up. There are two indoor cabins to choose from. It's important to note that the South Lodge is the first one in the parking lot and the North Lodge is the one further back. The South Lodge is the smaller of the two. There are 2 restrooms that must be accessed from outside. The cabins are wheelchair accessible. Cabins are clean. There is a sink, fridge, stove/oven, fireplace, lots of counter space and picnic style tables/chairs inside. I wished there was a microwave. There is an old fashion BBQ pit outside and additional picnic tables. The scenery is beautiful, great for pictures. You can fish in the pond. The yard is spacious and there is a playground for kids. You cannot have a DJ or play loud music and you must obtain a permit for a bounce house. The rec staff was friendly. Reservations can be 1/2 day or whole day (12 hours from 10a-10p). I would recommend this place to anyone.

My family has its annual reunion picnic here each year. The cabin spaces are very convenient, offering refrigerators, cooking spaces, and Wi-Fi.

Small bass and at times geese "infest" this park but me and my son still refer to it as bass city because the amount of fun little bass that can be caught here. They are also usually pretty aggressive.

A great place to bring the family for an easy walk, to play on the playground or fish in either pond. There are many (suburban) geese around, so be careful of where you step.

I love this park! It's so "tucked away" that most people miss it. The lodges are well-kept and have warm fireplaces! Definitely recommend.

Excellent for a group meeting in a outdoor yet cozy facility. At times, can be sold out months in advance.
