Lapham Peak Observation Tower

It's real high up, and you can see real far! Wow! 5 stars! Seriously though, hold on to your hat. Also I suggest we start calling Lapham Peak it's original name again - Stony Hill

Beautiful views and easy to get to on any vehicle or by foot.

This is a state park so there is an entry fee to enter the park. This structure was our only reason for visiting. It was awesome. The view was so cool. The whole family loved it. But I don't know if it was worth the $11 entry fee by itself.

A slightly hidden gem. The ice age trail segment cuts through and is lovely, one of the best IAT segments.

Explore the many trails by hiking and x/c skiing, it's fabulous year-round. Find the hidden meadow, "the splits", "asthma hill", and "stairway to heaven".

Collect chives and wild lettuce in spring, black raspberries in summer, black walnuts and hickory nuts in fall.

Climb the tower after hiking one of the approaching trails from the east, around the butterfly garden or through the woods. Or, drive in from the West entrance and get almost to the base. At the top, you have a view of Holy Hill, nearby lakes, the dormant Ethan Allen boys school, and many fine kettle moraine landmarks. If you are there in winter, with clear air and naked trees, you might even catch a glimpse of my house.

Very nice. Amazing how far you can see and many people came to visit but it wasn't overwhelming . Beautiful oak grove on walk up. Fun just to take the drive through the area. Feel free to take your time and trails everywhere!

08/18/2018. Beautiful place for hiking, skiing, biking, and horseback riding. The skiing trails are wide - great for hiking in the summer. There are several levels and lengths of trails to choose from (easy to intermediate). The trail surface varies throughout the park - sand, dirt, grass, rock, and mulch. The blue trail will challenge you with a variety of ups and downs. I highly recommend stopping at the butterfly garden. Must climb the tower to catch the awe-inspiring views. You can drive directly to the tower if you don't want to hike. Will definitely try to make it back to try another trail.

This place is great. It’s like a monument to the people around this area. It’s the highest point in Wisconsin. It’s beautiful I’ve been coming here all my life.

My Sweetie, Ginger and I visited Latham Peak to see the Fall colors on a mid October weekday. It was a bit chilly and windy, which affected the chill factor! We walked up the observation tower surprised that many trees were still green. We did enjoy looking in all directions pointing out landmarks and a few colorful trees within walking distance of the parking lot. It was a morning well spent, but if it wasn't so chilly... we would've hiked the trails like last year!

Great view of the surrounding areas! Can see for miles from the tower. About 40 miles of hiking trails. Great place for the family!

Just a great view of southeastern Wisconsin. A great spot for some great photos. The connecting hiking paths are pretty nice as well.

Beautiful views. A few stairs to the top of the tower 100 times worth the effort! Take some time to hike the trails nearby too.

Magical. Get transported via your own power a hundred feet into the sky. Bring a camera, you can see for miles and miles. Awesome. So close to 94, it's worth a visit every time I drive past.

Great place to hike, run, XC ski or just let the kids play. The tower has a wonderful view of Southeastern Wisconsin and you can see many landmarks from it. Do everyone a favor and don't carve or sign the tower, clean up your trash and maybe bring a friend with you to share the experience.

Amazing place. Very relaxing to go to the top of the tower and enjoy the peace and quiet. I am sure it would be great to visit during the fall too. Sunsets look amazing from here.
