A very nice little Park walking distance to both downtown kittery and downtown Portsmouth. The war memorial is stunning, a great piece of sculpture, and depicts the horrors of war rather than the glory.

I have had many pleasant rests in this nice site many times because it is the destination of my tri-state bike rides (MA-NH-ME).
There are even concerts on the weekends of summer.

This site is within walking distance from Portsmouth. Would probably be a decent spot to have a picnic, especially if nearby Prescott Park is a little busy. Although surrounded by roads, this site is very peaceful, helped by some trees that help separate it from them. I could see the roads being a little loud on a busy summer day.
