Hampton Inn & Suites Kittery-Portsmouth

Convenient budget friendly stay close to shopping, restaurants, and Portsmouth. Front desk personnel were outstanding. The room was modern, well laid out, and super clean. While we did not eat breakfast here, the complimentary breakfast had a number of choices. Though excellent tasting coffees. Highly recommend this location!

Great hotel, good location and good service. It’s just a solid Hilton with great proximity to Portsmouth and beaches in Kittery. Room was clean and staff was kind. Breakfast was exactly what you’d expect.

The staff and all who support this hotel create a warm and welcoming experience. When traveling through and experiencing sudden illness, these folks showed compassion and over the top kindness. The cleanliness, atmosphere and fantastic breakfast were excellent. Will definitely return when in the area.

The Hampton Inn & Suites Kittery is absolutely exceptional! We were warmly welcomed by Ashley and Zoe. They found us a room that far exceeded our expectations. Ashley helped us with so many details of our stay, including finding dinner and excellent directions. The room was clean and spacious and the bed was so very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. Mark was also so welcoming and fabulous. Everyone there was cheerful and friendly. When we left, well rested and well fed, we felt like we had just spent the weekend visiting with dear friends.

Can't say enough good stuff about this hotel. Location is ideal, easy walking distance to restaurants and stores. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The decor is modern and stylish. Beds were comfortable. Free cookies and water in the lobby. Don't snooze on the free breakfast, it is ample and of good quality. If in Portsmouth, consider staying here

Easy parking, beautiful hotel, incredibly clean and comfy. Beds are on the firm side, which I actually prefer. Slept like a baby. Pet friendly and got to meet lots of adorable fur babies! Breakfast was very nice and the waffles were delicious, especially with the vermont syrup we brought. We were absolutely shocked at how sound proof the rooms were, we hardly heard anything and it was barely noticeable when the occasional bark or door lock noise was made. Room temps were perfect, def not freezing but the perfect cool to sleep in. I often get rooms that are way too cold but this was absolutely perfect. They had ZERO brand products in the room which I like a lot as far as hotel brands go. They're clean and cruelty free and make my hair and skin feel good (I have psoriasis and eczema). Night crew was very polite and the guy in the morning was a sweetheart. Glad to stay in a Hampton that was modern and super clean, I don't have the best experiences with Hilton Properties but I gave this one a shot and LOVED it. Will be coming here in the future.

My daughter and I stayed here over the weekend while we went on a Christmas shopping excursion. The rooms were meticulously clean and comfortable, we couldn't have asked for anything more. We came in contact with mid afternoon staff at check in, early evening when coming back from shopping, and early morning staff. Everyone was quite friendly and helpful. Walking distance to stores and restaurants. Ample parking in a well-lit lot. And breakfast...included, and absolutely delicious. We will be visiting again, thank you!

Breakfast was nasty. Except for oatmeal.
Sausage not brown but steamed. Scrambled eggs too salty.
I saw kitchen person return 2 egg omelets someone left on plate back into chafing dish!!!
No plain waffles. Had funny tasting apple ones.
Bananas were overly ripe.
No bacon either day just ugly sausage.

Rooms, common areas and staff terrific.

Clean, quiet (though we could faintly hear dogs barking at times). Great gym, dumbbells up to 75lbs, three treadmills.

Only criticism: the bathroom doors are sliders, which is a trend I DO NOT UNDERSTAND. Less private, louder, and a terrible choice for a bathroom, especially if you're sharing with someone you aren't intimately close with.

Also - in this particular hotel, the sliding door is weirdly heavy. Not a problem for me, but my (fit, athletic) wife struggled to open it from the inside. For an older person it might actually be a hazard if anything were to happen.

Our stay began with the wonderful, kind and helpful assistance of a person named Ashley. She was so pleasant to interact with, so kind and helpful, and absolutely doted on our children. She set the tone for a great stay.

I won’t repeat all the other detail touched on here; the amenities are good and a cut above many similarly priced hotels. My only criticism is that the room cleaning could have been better — there were large food crumbs left in the desk chair and outer margins of the floor, and there were hairs on a few of the towels.

We stopped impulsively to get off the road during a bad rainstorm. We upgraded to a suite which was fantastic. Beautifully appointed and immaculately clean. Bathroom was like a spa. Comfy bed. Delicious free breakfast & coffee. There was plenty of room behind the hotel to park our motorhome. Zoey at the front desk was wonderful. Thanks for a truly great stay!!

Honestly, it's a newer hotel. Or at least newly refurbished. Or at least it seems like it. Everything was clean and fresh. Bed was comfortable. We only stayed one night, but everything was good. I really only care if everything is clean and polished looking. And it is.

No complaints. Wish all the other chain hotels we stayed in were this nice. I'm sure eventually it'll get run down, but for now it's great.

We had excellent days. All the employees treated us well, especially Dalton. He was wonderful and very nice. He responded to all our requirements and requests. He is truly professional and I believe he paints a beautiful picture of the hotel.

Our room was on the interstate side but the soundproofing was excellent! We didn't hear traffic noise unless there was no noise at all in the room. I'm a light sleeper but it wasn't loud enough to wake me up. Very handy location and ready to get to.

Booked a few nights right during Christmas, and got a great room for myself and my spouse. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. We took advantage of the indoor pool, where the temperature was absolutely perfect. We also enjoyed the complimentary morning breakfast.

Huge TV in the room, that hooks up easily to a laptop, and with the decent hotel internet speeds, we were able to stream what we wanted on a great screen.

The location is incredibly convenient just off 95 and rte 1. We enjoyed our brief visit to Maine during the holidays and would recommend a stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites!

I enjoyed staying here. The rooms were clean and newly renovated. The front desk staff were pleasant and helpful. There was also a decent breakfast spread. I will book here again when I find myself back in the area.

This was a last minute booking that started our vacation of on the right foot. Stuff was friendly, rooms were clean, breakfast was great and it’s perfectly located to walk to dinner and shopping after a long day of travel. Highly recommend.

Zoe is amazing, thank you so much for your outstanding customer service. The room was spacious,clean and comfortable. We had a first floor suite , iron&ironing board, blow dryer, refrigerator, microwave, large TV. Breakfast was fantastic. Waffles, yogurt, fresh fruit, oatmeal, bagels, cinnamon rolls. I could go on. Definitely a keeper Hotel!!
