Been a few years since I've been in the 'Cuse last. This quaint little diner has to be somewhat newer (at least it was to me). Ordered the Fretta and Eggs Benedict and both were excellent! Good portions and great flavor without the greasy spoon feeling afterwards. They were busy but not uncomfortably busy. Definitely a nice place to go on a damp fall Sunday AM in CNY!

Meet with a group that regularly meets for lunch. The waitress recognized my friend immediately and got us to a table. Lnew she wanted decaf and was johnny on the spot! I think her name is Chris. Breakfast menu is extensive, plenty of choices for omelets. Decent lunch choices. I didn't feel like breakfast so I ordered a cheese burger with onion lettuce tomato. Toasted bun. Very good and cooked the way I ordered, medium rare. Came with chips and pickle. My friend had lox cream cheese and bagel, came with lettuce and tomato. She said it, too, was very tasty. Regular coffee was just strong enough, only one creamer!!
My friend treated today so I'm not sure of the total bill. I think my burger was 11 bucks.
Very busy place!!! But there seemed to be plenty of room for all.

I've been eating here since the 1990s, and it's been around since well before then in a different location. Excellent food, always cooked as requested. Service is always friendly. Prices are right where they should be for a diner in Syracuse. All of this has held true at each of my visits over 25 years. I'm disappointed they had to start closing earlier during COVID, and then haven't been able to go back to being open for dinner due to not having enough consistent staff. This was a preferred location to go out for dinner to eat breakfast food.

I don't know where to start! We were waited on quickly and with a smile. The food was great and cooked the way I like, the decor is uber adorbs and the name Egg Plant is a fun play on words! I have never been here and I will definitely be back!

Love this place. Did a search on what place was still open that served breakfast at 1:30, and they served breakfast until 3 pm. The food was amazing, the service was great, and the ambiance was perfect as if I were back home in my own kitchen. I loved the delicious fruit and nuts in the panckakes, especially the steak and eggs plate. This place is very clean so this was very much appreciated. Couldn't believe this a family business and the two young guys cooking are brothers or young sons of the owners, impressive. The lady servers are sweet and will greet you. when placing your order, I never had to wait for a coffee refill. I will remember this place the next time I pass through for work and have to spend a night or two. The "All Night Egg Plant" Rocks!

Classic NYC style diner that has been around for a long time. Great options, and the grilled honey bun is an experience you won't forget.

The perfect place to stop for breakfast. My husband and I both got the breakfast special and were both thoroughly satisfied. The sausage, French toast and scrambled eggs were delicious. My husband really enjoyed his eggs, hasbrowns, sausage and toast as well. Our server was incredibly kind and accommodating.

No nonsense place for breakfast. Coffee served in cups not mugs but the waitress is always there for a refill. I've been going here since they opened up in the original location on Genesee Street. I even worked there occasionally! Great omelettes, home fries are still the standard that I judge home fries! The egg plant can get busy, so plan on a wait. If you don't have to wait for a table, all the better. The decor hasn't changed in decades! I even ran into Steven, the (retired) owner.

Great food. Friendly staff. Good service. I hadn't been there in many years and am glad I went again. I'd go more often if it was closer to where I live.

Went here for breakfast. The place was fairly busy and the staff is always great. I had their Lox plate. This consists of a bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon. Also lettuce, tomatoes and red onions on the side. Delicious! I also had green tea

Super busy place for breakfast. Good is very good. Waitress is very friendly. Prices are very reasonable. No dairy free but they do offer gluten free toast. I love the eggs Benny. Eggs are perfect! They offer a combo to mix and match for about $10 bottomless coffee! Omelettes are cooked well through. Bring cash, sometimes their system goes down and CC doesn't work.

Met a friend for breakfast and had an egg white omelette with customized fillings and a coffee. Probably the fastest I've had breakfast come out before and it tasted great. Service was great as well, I'd be back to check out the lunch as well.
