Roots Coffeebar & Cafe

Friendly staff and the atmosphere was very calming and welcoming. Food was good. Got the breakfast panini and a blue berry muffin which was to die for! Carmel Macchiato was so smoothe and just the perfect temperature. We will be back!

I ordered online never been here before looked good so I thought I would try it. I was going to wait outside for my order but needed to use the bathroom and my husband said he was hungry so I thought I would checkout what they had see if there was anything he would like. WOW, I'm impressed! The staff was friendly. The inside was beautiful open and so much to look at. Great seating options too. Definitely a place worth more than a pick up and go. Will stop again and enjoy the atmosphere. Even my pen friend from Oregon wants to have some breakfast here when she visits.

A happening place, bustling on a Tuesday morning. Had their breakfast burrito with egg, black beans, corn and sausage on a whole wheat tortilla ($7). It was yummy! They serve breakfast all day. Lots of seating, including high tables, low tables, couches and outdoors. Music is pretty loud, otherwise, it would be a good place to work online. Service was friendly and fast. Nice art. I'm actually sitting here while writing a review, great coffee wonderful service and the ambience is first rate. I'm just visiting Oconomowoc but would rate Roots with the best coffeehouses in the country.

High stars for Roots and their service today! I'm plant-based/vegan and nothing on the menu was completely plant-based (which I'm used to!). I called to see if I could modify a menu item for my dietary preferences. The employee was incredibly helpful and didn't make me feel like a pain.

I ordered the CCR Wrap without the cream cheese, subbed it for hummus, and added sweet potato and avocado. It turned out pretty good!

Happy to have a place I can now enjoy a quick lunch downtown Oconomowoc, since my office is downtown as well.

Warm and welcoming family-owned business and our own family's main coffee stop whenever we are in the Lake Country area. The Chai Latte is our go-to!

Delicious food, delicious coffee, and a great atmosphere. My favorites so far have been the Brie salad and root vegetable soup. Very tasty!

Good coffee and big area with seating. You can get a snack and do some computer work or relax with friends.

Only stopped in for a warm-me-up latte after a disturbingly cold run. I had seen the storefront in passing but had no idea it was a full-blown cafe. Location is great, walkable from almost anywhere in Oconomowoc and close to the water.

They have a relatively large menu with lots of health-conscious appearing options. I didn't notice the peanut butter banana smoothie until after I ordered my latte. Latte was just right, and prices were what you'd expect from an upscale coffee place. I'll be back!

So yummy! The coffee is good and the food is so tasty! My favorite sandwich is the “Beatles”. Everything is reasonably priced as well. They are very fast with getting your food to you.

I got the turtle latte during my last visit, and it was one of the best coffee drinks I've ever gotten from a shop. Very cute place, feels breezy and open. I will be coming back!

This is a great local coffee shop. They have plenty of space and seating. Business meetings, study groups and coffee dates abound in this community fixture.

The coffee is high quality and the service is always top-notch. They have a nice selection of sandwiches and such if you’re so inclined.

Roots is great. I’m a longtime Oconomowoc resident, and they are my go-to coffee place. The atmosphere is extremely comfortable, and there’s plenty of space. It’s a great place to go to get some work done, or to meet with a small group. The staff is incredibly friendly. And of course, the coffee is excellent!
