Castle Rock Park

What a beautiful trail! The nature is gorgeous, the climb not overly strenuous, lots of great flora and fauna to identify, and you may hardly see another person on the trail. Best to wear hiking boots as some of the trail may be wet or muddy. We didn't find the castle (? not sure if we were supposed to) before needing to head back. Great hike!

It was briefly confusing to get there because the sign was for Wing & Wing?

It doesn’t look official but is trails are marked but parking and trail signs are grown over.

We asked a local he said DON’T GO TO THE CASTLE!

The owner doesn’t mess around they have been robbed before.

Lovely trail with views, views and more views. Two gazebos along the way are a nice place for a lunch break.

I meet the caretaker of the castle and he gives me a tour around the castle and trails.

Great place for hiking. There is a National Register of Historic Places -“Osborn Castle “on the top of this area. It can be seen from hiking trail.

Castle Rock Park, the Osman Loop, Sugar Loaf Hill, all are charming and very hike-able. I love these trails and they are my local favorites, Sugar Loaf in particular, which provides a great quick workout for those who find that kind of thing alluring. It is super picturesque here, as well. Sometimes the parking lot here can be really crowded. Actually, do not come. It is bad.

This a great place to come hike and enjoy nature!

Excellent park with lovely trails, giving access to the Appalachian trail and the footpaths of the southern section of the Hudson highlands. Easy to get to from Metro North to Garrison. Lots of car parking too.

Great place to ramble. Make sure to get a trail map first.

Nice trails and beautiful view. Trails are well marked and some areas maybe be steep. You can go to Arden point from here. Free parking.
