Bristol Sunset Cafe

A lovely spot for breakfast. Very clean and nice to be in! Lots of food to choose from and generously portioned. I loved my veggie omelet and the cappuccino was delicious. Unfortunately the home fries weren’t stellar- which is a shame as they’re my favorite. Just a touch bland. Wouldn’t deter me from returning though. Often packed so be sure to make a reservation if you can.

Pictures on Google don't represent how quaint it is. Service was fast and personable. It was obvious the staff knew patrons and there was community. Get the hashdog!! The bolo bun is so soft...not too much sauce, and the balance of hash brown, crispy bacon and soft scrambled eggs was literally perfect. I wish I could eat 2!

I think the cafe should change its name to Breakfast Heaven. It's the only appropriate moniker for a place that serves food this good. First visit was yesterday, then I went back the following day. I'm not sure how I didn't stop by earlier, but my wallet is probably glad. On a scale of 1-5 this place is 1,000. Seriously, great people, wonderful food, lovely restaurant. They deserve every award received and much more! Try the pancakes! Actually, just try everything!

Stopped by here for Sunday morning breakfast. We could smell the home fries cooking from around the corner. Great location, just a block away from our hotel. Food was delicious, nice selection of tea. Strong coffee, nice family friendly atmosphere. Friendly staff.

Very Great Atmosphere, Friendly Staff. Fresh Food. Finally had a chance to try this place, boy have I been missing out! It's a new favorite of mine! Generous Portions for fair price as well! Will be going there much more.

Make an absolute pit stop here for breakfast or brunch! Just WOW! I ordered #4 Chorizo Hash with home fries, over medium eggs, and grilled English muffin 😍😍😍 if I could describe the dish it would be creamy and executed to perfection 🤌🏼👌🏼! Hats off to the owner/chef! Waitress Sarah was so sweet too.

Recent Update: They have now officially inaugurated the gorgeous and roomy new space that was added!
I was given the largest and coziest table by the window.
The meals and atmosphere were enjoyed by everyone that attended with me!

It was the best breakfast and brunch I ever had in RI!
They serve classical American breakfast and lunch menus but the taste was not typical.
I ordered Sriracha egg benedict and my friend ordered Crab meat egg benedict.
Both were delicious!
Especially, the porched eggs were cooked perfectly in the way that porched eggs were supposed to be!
Crab cake was not my cup of tea as the crab cakes I had were salty and smelly.
But the crab cake was not salty at all with full of crab flavor.
In addition, the crews were super friendly and kind!

Sunset Cafe is always busy so we figured this local spot had to be good. Facts. The atmosphere here is relaxed and inviting with the right balance of quirky, refined, and whimsical. Pair that with a hot coffee or latte and you are off to a good start. The waitstaff was friendly and prompt. The menu has a variety that is sure meet your breakfast needs and we are going to have to come back to check out more of their baked goods. We had the OG eggs Benny and the #1. Everything was simply delicious.

Spent $100 (including a 25% tip) for 4 people. Food was awesome. Service was better. 10/10 would recommend.

One of my favorite restaurants in the area starting from my frist visit. Awesome staff and great service. Food was delicious. Finaly had some biscuits and gravy after so long since it's hard to find it in New England. Will definitely go back.

Breakfast places can be great for the food, but not always great ambiance- sunset cafe has the best of both- sweet bread French toast, homemade sour dough, best home fries, perfectly scrambled eggs, and great service- plus a stellar and hip environment - I love sunset cafe- love the young vibe- and delightful family that owns it- keep up the great work!

Such a great place. Food was perfect, staff was so nice. Unfortunately there was an hour wait but we had a large party and got there 9:30. We’ll be back soon.

Enjoyed a delicious brunch here. The sriracha Benny was delicious but could have used a touch more spice. Gwen was a fabulous server. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in town.

Stopped in for breakfast and it was excellent! Loved the atmosphere and every single person working there was pleasant. Definitely will go back again!

I went at 8 30 am and it was great. Perfect time to get an outside table which filled up fast. Alli was super nice and the meals were great.

Love this breakfast spot! They have it all - great coffee, delicious food, and top notch service, all in an adorable atmosphere. This is definitely one of our go-tos.

Recommended by my hairdresser! We love Bristol and have frequented many restaurants. Visited on 12/9! Breakfast was a 10+! We were more than pleased. The food was made to order and every morsel was amazing! Staff was cheery and welcoming! We are looking forward to returning to the Sunset Cafe very soon! A Bristol “gem”!

I had not been to SUNSET since thay finished there seating expansion. Sunset is still a great place to eat. Large portions friendly service and they make own rye bread for a toast selection. So good .

I really like this place. During Covid we got take out a bit from here and finally had the chance to eat in on this local visit. Food was really tasty and the atmosphere is great, just gets loud really quickly. I would have given 5 starts but the coffee is terrible, which was a mutual expression from our table of 5 coffee drinkers, and then ordered a Latte which was much better.

Got a burrito and fruit for takeout breakfast. Holy cow, this burrito was delicious: the caramelized onions were actually caramelized, the mushrooms and spinach well cooked. Seriously the best fruit side I have ever gotten from a breakfast restaurant. Great takeout option in Bristol!
