Residence Inn by Marriott San Francisco Airport/San Mateo

Loved the full kitchen. we cooked more than went out and was nice to have the amenities there. If we didn't have something, the desk had it. Our dishwasher did over fill while the room was being cleaned and had leaked when we came back, maintenance was there in 30 min cleaned it up and fixed the issue, didn't have another problem. My absolute favorite was being able to open the windows have the breeze, in and most places they don't let you open them all the way so it was a bonus to me. We stayed for a week. Also if you write a grocery list out they go shop for you at no extra charge!! FYI if you like Sushi, MJ sushi is very yummy!!!

Great place, our room was on the first floor and very clean. Staff were very kind and accommodating. Complimentary breakfast was great, they had hot breakfast, a waffle station and a lot more. Really enjoyed our stay.

I wish they had these were I lived. Honestly a great value and the best extended stay type of place I've ever stayed. Very clean, quiet and spacious. Held 5 of us with no issue.

Stayed here for a show in SF. It worked out perfectly and the room was almost brand new. Quick mention it had a walk in shower which he prefers and was a plus. Full kitchen with dishes. It's quiet and out of the way so parking is not a problem, it's very private. There's also a shopping center with restaurants nearby.

James and Kurtis - wow wow WOW!! They made our stay phenomenal!! Nothing is ever perfect and we did have a bump (our a/c went out at 11 pm), but these guys did everything they could to rectify the hiccup. Luckily, there was a room avail and yes, we had to move after an exhausting travel day, but it could have gone much worse. Both were ALWAYS attentive and helpful and kind and welcoming. It was so refreshing to have someone appreciate you and your business. We would definitely recommend and we would consider staying again. Thank you, James and Kurtis! Your care and compassion for your guests did not go unnoticed- thanks again for a great stay in June 2023!

Can only speak for the physical attributes of this place since we were visiting and not strictly lodging, but this is one cool spot! Wish we booked over here! It's really nice. My wife thinks the size could be better, but really that's something that's negotiable. It really does feel like home here. Or a vacation. Next time we'll have to book 💡

This place is great for a family trip in the Bay area. Nice staffs and great room. It is close to SFO.

Had a great stay, we absolutely loved our stay. We were late arrivals and we’re greeted by “James” he was brilliant, friendly and very accommodating, it was our lucky night!
Our room was upstairs and clean and fresh, full kitchen with everything we needed.
The breakfast staff was also spot on, the ladies were very helpful.
We hope to return soon.

We were placed in one of their upgraded rooms and the stay was very nice. We'll definitely stay here again for any future flights out of SFO

A FULL KITCHEN!!!! You can bake here! The hospitality is topnotch. James, the night Auditor, is the star of my experience. After a crazy flight itinerary and a mix-up with another hotel, he was the bright light at the end of the dark tunnel. I chose to return to this location and use my hard eraned points because the gracious nature staff at this Residence Inn. Everyone I encountered was accommodating and pleasant to be around.
You can't beat a location. You're close to the highway and within a 3 minute drive of Target and other major stores. Also parking the only $10; Not like the $20 and $30 you experience closer to the airport.

I’m generally a big fan of Residence Inns and this one was very good. Room was nice with a big kitchen. Enjoyed how it was separate buildings with outdoor walks in between. Very California vibes. The breakfast was ok too.

We felt very at home. Stayed here years ago. Staff members are very friendly and helpful. Have recommended this location.

This is definitely a great property for quick stays. I was here only for one night.

The room was more spacious than I'd expected. If you're on a budget with kids in tow, this is a great place to stay with the full kitchen and full size fridge!

This place is not the most convenient if your goal is to visit San Francisco but you can make it work if you have the patience to map out everything and plan everything well in advance.

It's also not super close to the airport.

All in all, a niche place that works if you really want to stay in/close to San Mateo or Foster City!

The room was big and clean.

The room was so clean and spacious! I really enjoyed my time here. The breakfast was good and convenient, the coffee was great too. The only con is that I don't know why they charge for parking if there is no valet or security guard watching the cars, it shouldn't be extra to park your own car in a hotel you're paying for... Besides that, I would definitelyyyyy stay here again.

I can't say enough about the wonderful people that I had contact with.! Our mother passed away recently, we were coming in from quite a distance and were caught off guard. I shared with the reservation agent that I had a small dog with me. Could they please waive the pet fee? Shavon put my concern into the remarks. So when I showed up, the front desk knew. They couldn't authorize, but passed it on to the manager. I was pretty raw at the moment, but everyone I spoke to was so kind and understanding. They have a heart! I wasn't expecting that! Thanks! I will be a lifetime customer!!

Great rooms at a decent price. It was a big room, like the size of a one bedroom apartment. Comes complete with a full sized kitchen, king sized bed and an enormous bathroom with a relaxing shower. Complimentary breakfast the next morning with coffee was a perfect start to our day! White rice, chicken noodle soup, scrambled eggs, sausage patties with cheese and salsa, oatmeal with honey, pancakes with syrup, Greek yogurt and juices! Different types of breads and bagels too! It was delicious and as I said before... Complimentary..

Great rooms and amazing service! They went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant.

The front desk and manager were very friendly and helpful. The suite was spacious and was well appointed. We had a loft on the second floor with a bed and full bath. Downstairs was a large bedroom with a desk area and huge bathroom. The living room area was spacious with a sofa and an arm chair. The kitchen area on the other side of the living room had everything you would need to cook. There's a stove, microwave with a full size refrigerator. There's enough dishes and utensils for four people. This unit had everything you could use and it felt like home. It was very clean and smelled good too.

I would give 6 stars if I could. This is such a welcome relief from the experiences I have had at the San Mateo Marriott SFO. While this smaller hotel lacks a bar/restaurant- this Residence Inn and their staff provide the best in service, security and responsiveness. I would like to acknowledge the professionalism and follow-through with Kurtis the manager and his staff. If you are looking for an option from the Marriott, SFO in San Mateo- this is a strong rec.
