I will not admit to how many chicken sandwiches or bao I've purchased. Bar staff is on point with recommendations. There's a lot of options and there's no bad choices from their menu. My favorite spot in downtown Fairfax, and one I'm very happy to see made it through a tough couple of years during the pandemic.

Follow all their festivals and events because the Asian Festival on Main, shouldn't be missed.

Such a cute little modern spot. All the food was great and fresh. Fries, bao, popcorn chicken, and pork belly were all great. Good beer selection. Loved all the different beer glasses. Went in on a Sunday evening so it wasn’t very busy at all. Waiter checked on us consistently (sometimes that’s actually an issue when it’s slow, but not here!) will def be back to try the rest of the menu.

My husband and I saw this place when driving through Fairfax one day and knew we would have to stop in. Finally we did and it exceeded our expectations!

We got the tornado fries and popcorn chicken to start. I wish the fries were a little thicker cut personally (they were so crispy that they felt more like chips than fries) but they tasted really good. They were a little hard to get off the stick though. The popcorn chicken was great and came with a sweet and spicy sauce. I would have loved a chipotle mayo but the other sauce was very very good. The popcorn chicken was perfectly fried and crispy.

My husband got the pork belly over rice and I got the zha jiang noodles. I didn’t try it, but my husband said he loved the pork belly! He said it was perfect and exactly what he was hoping for. The noodles were really good and I really enjoyed the sauce.

We also got a couple of drinks. I got a blueberry cider that I don’t remember the name of but it was SO good!

To top it off, our server (I don’t remember his name sorry!) was so nice. He was talking to a lot of the other customers and was so friendly and knowledgeable. I don’t know if he was the owner but he was great.

Definitely a cute spot with great food and drinks, we’ll be back!

authentic and delicious Taiwanese street food with. a wonderful drink selection. Definitely recommend the Taiwanese egg crepe and the garlic noodles with shrimp

We tried this place in Fairfax City for the first time. They have a nice selection of beer and spirits. We tried the braised pork belly over rice. It comes with a braised egg. This plate tastes like home cooked meal. It was delicious! I would highly recommend this place! It tastes like my mom's home cooking! Absolutely the best. The other plates were also delicious. We ordered the lemon grass fried chicken over rice with a fried egg. The chicken has a nice flavor and moderately spicy. The scallion pancake with stir fried beef was okay. I will definitely come back to try all the other menu items and order the braised pork belly again! It is the menu item and always consistent. If you like hard seltzer, they have Smooj and the Humble Bumble is the best if you like a fruity tropical seltzer water. They taste like spiked fruit juice... So delicious. Can't wait to come back here!

These always delicious Taiwanese style foods will satisfy any foodie. Plus they offer top-tier ciders beers and other fun beverages. Must haves include the popcorn chicken and scallion pancakes. Watch out for the events that they host at various times during the year. They are a blast. Dan Dan noodles are good as well.

Went for our first time. Beer menu is pro level. I drink lots of unusual beers and had only tried one of their 20 taps before. Setup is really nice. We only tried small plates and all four were great. Looking forward to trying new ones and more new beers next time.

Not quite Taiwanese food; closer to Taiwanese fusion, and delicious! Great pairing with beer and hard (dry) cider. Kids are welcome, but they either must be adventurous eaters or of Asian descent since the spices are different. Love the fact that one can hang outside or inside. Spaces are on the small side, but still very cozy. Limited parking on the site (back of the restaurant) but there is a bigger parking lot on the next block. Tons of traffic outside so it's probably better to park elsewhere.

Loved the sweet potato fries and potstickers! Thought I would save some to share with my hubby, but they didn’t last long…. Had a sour beer as well and all were delicious. Staff was friendly and super knowledgeable. Will be visiting again for sure! They also have an interesting selection of beers to take home!!

Excellent beer, fantastic service, and wonderful staff! My family and I are regulars at this restaurant. The owner consistently makes you feel special, and the staff are incredibly accommodating. The beers always rotate out and there is something unique and interesting to try every time. Food does a great job with mixing authentic and modern, and there is something for everyone! I highly recommend trying the three cup tofu.

Food was delicious with a great selection of beers. We had the braised pork belly and fried chicken sandwich. The place fills up quickly, but that's just testament to exactly how good everything is. Definitely coming back soon.

Great first visit with our daughter and son-in-law (they are regulars). Great variety on the menu, food and craft beers. Will be back to try their spicier entrees.

Good local beer selection and THE BEST garlic butter fried rice ever!

Very good food. I have been ordering food several times here during the pandemic. I love all their noodles, pancake, chicken wings, and braised pork on rice. They also have great appetizers like pickled cucumbers and etc. I realized I didn't leave any review for them when I keep ordering almost biweekly there. You can tell that they are not trying to be cheap with their ingredients. I really recommend their sesame noodle or garlic noodles. Try them! If you don't like it then go with either chicken wings because they are both great too =)

The taiwanese sausages, buns and fried chicken were excellent. It took me right back to being in a night market in Taipei. I had to ask the staff where their chef came from because I haven't had sausages and buns this authentic since I moved to the US. Can't wait to go back and try more.

Our server Joe recommended several dishes and each of them was delicious. We enjoyed the Taiwanese pork braised bao, egg fried rice with shrimp, Edamame, Spicy Dan Dan noodles, and pot stickers. The service was excellent (lots of water refills) and the atmosphere was fresh and very clean.

So glad to finally have a good taproom style place close to home. Jinson and Jack are both great guys and make/made great beer recommendations and are just so friendly.

The beer selection is just amazing and can be overwhelming in its sheer quantity of choices. As for the food, it is really good. Came here with the family for a "meet the brewer" event and the food gave the beer a run for its money. Can't recommend this place enough really.

Very small but quaint restaurant downtown Fairfax City. Delicious meals and friendly service. Great selection of beer and wine. Family friendly. Not a lot of tables so you may have to wait. Limited street parking, some parking behind the restaurant. We had a great time and so will you.

Great food and drafts!! Everything came out so quickly and we ended up staying for hours bc the atmosphere was just so good. It’s a great spot for a girls or date night! Also, their braised pork belly was to DIE for!!!!

I ducked into Highside for a late lunch with my family, and we had a blast. The beer selection was great as was the service. But, by far the best part was the food. The fried chicken sandwich was the best I've had in my life, no joke. We also enjoyed the edamame, three cup chicken wings, and the beef pancake wrap. Oh, and the pot stickers. You cannot go wrong!!!
