We love this shop! We've purchased online for years but finally made the trip for the first time today. It's beautifully decorated and will certainly put you in the Christmas spirit if you need a boost this time of year. We loved the variety of products and saw so many unique items that you just can't find anywhere these days. The welcome we received from the gracious shopkeeps added to the great experience we had. Thank you again!

No longer live in the area but this is always a top stop on my list when I am. Great owners who run the place, always introducing new items. Great coffee selection from Bones and BRCC, huge jerky selection, lots of snacks, lots of local goods (chocolates, candles, BBQ spices). Good quality treat selection for your favorite puppy dog. Vinyl records and cassette tapes. For a small shop they have a large selection of stuff. Can't imagine anyone leaving empty-handed!

This is an excellent locally owned business. They have a strong gift selection (candles, records, uniquely sourced items) and neat food items. It gives a nice general store vibe to downtown Fairfax with friendly staff.

I have yet to step a foot in the store, only because I live on the West Coast. But I order online all the time and their selection of Jerkey is top notch. And even though it is a small store their selection of music is better then my local record store.

The absolute best shop business that you can support! They have unique products that cannot be found anywhere else. Fantastic customer service!

Best store in Northern Virginia! They've got a huge selection of beef jerky. Their candles are amazing. All the nostalgia based candy you could ask for! And they even have great selection of vinyl music! And don't forget to grab an ice cold Cheerwine!

This is a great place for unique snacks, candy, drinks and even a selection of hand picked vinyl. Friendly small business in downtown Fairfax. So good I drive 50 mins to visit.

What's not to love about Commonwealth Dry Goods? Ownership is fantastic, friendly and helpful. The selection of good is outstanding, featuring a wide variety of candles, records, spices, peanuts, and sweet treats. Every item is a winner, because ownership won't sell anything they themselves wouldn't want to buy. Highly recommend.

Incredible store. It has a little of everything. Great nostalgia from vinyl records to candy. Candles, and Christmas flavors and scents. Awesome atmosphere. I recommend it to anyone who loves great nostalgia and Awesome atmosphere, Giant Skelton, and Chad.

I live out of state and order all my dry goods from them online. They respond to emails fast and ship everything that day. Very friendly staff and great customer service!!

My wife and I stumbled in while we were traveling and LOVED it! Reminiscent of an old general store, this place had a little of everything: Jerky, candles, snacks, records, trading cards, craft sodas… it was fun to just peruse their collection! The owner was very nice and explained everything we had questions about and gave us some helpful directions and local knowledge. Wished we lived closer!

Finest little store in Fairfax. Clean as a whistle. Candles, gourmet seasonings and oils, records, jerky and Abita root beer among other drinks available. Also the ONLY store in Virginia that stocks holiday Cheerwine punch (buy 2, it’s fantastic). The staff are sweet as pie and love to chat as well.

This shop is a perfect fit for the area and really fills a void. They have great sodas, chips, and other snacks but also have records, cassettes, local coffee, and much much more. The owners are great people and super friendly. Best of all they sell a lot of products from veteran owned businesses. Three thumbs up from this guy. Stop by and spread the hay!

Best snacks in Fairfax! Treat yourself to a cold Cheerwine or RC Cola from a glass bottle. Cool vinyl. Great t-shirts. Delicious coffee and beautiful mugs to drink it from. The best smelling candles. I just can’t say enough about how fantastic this store is. If you don’t shop there, you’re doing it wrong.
