Village Music Wellington

Finally made it by before closing. Village music exceeded my expectations using their space to make an excellent boutique music store, learning space, quality restaurant and music venue. The owner was friendly, helpful and informative. I will check with them before making my next musoc purchase.

Village Music has everything you could want! The music store has a variety of instruments, & offers lessons. The restaurant attached serves a delicious menu, along with beers & wines. And, the live music is fantastic! All genres, playing originals & covers, Friday & Saturday night, & featured fun events on other week nights! Reservations for dining & music encouraged.

Amazing little place in Wellington where the music flows every weekend with amazing musicians and an awesome staff. Tonight was no exception, and we stayed for hours. Beer and wine or just a cup of tea or coffee with your music. Fun Saturday night out!

My children have been doing music lessons here and we absolutely love it! The owner is awesome! Always helps us when we need it and runs such a good operation. We have been seeing Nick for my 9 year old, Ryan for my 13 year old and Morgan for my 6 year old all fabulous teachers who really work with my kids and keep me up to date on what is going on. If you need a music instrument or piano lessons I highly recommend.

Music and drink service was awesome ordering food here is a totally different story could not believe it took approximately an hour to get a chicken Caesar salad may be a good idea to eat before you go.

First time here tonight and I absolutely love it! The music is so good! Tonight was Indigo Dreamers. Perfect for date night or to shake off the bad joujou of the day. We'll be back for sure.

It's just nice to have a chill spot to get gear instead of Guitar Center. The owner is easy to talk to and they have some nice stuff. All I bought was a pack of picks and inquired about replacement part for my telecaster, but it was pleasant. Every time I had gone to guitar center, it was awful and have gone two years not buying from Guitar Center cuz this is a superior customer experience.

I moved to Wellington in 2012 and stumbled upon this place while looking for a different store. I would rather go here to buy stuff than the big box because I would like to buy local and second it’s closer. When I went in I met Steve the co-owner. I needed to pick up a midi controller and to my surprise Steve offered to price match the big box. I do not mind paying a couple of bucks more for a independent but that was awesome. I have since been back for other items.

They recently moved into a bigger space and added a Cafe with a stage for live music. I met Donna (the other onwner) at a chamber event. She convinced me to bring my wife to see a band that was playing tonight. I am glad I went. The band was great and the service was awesome. They do have food but we had already eaten however what I saw looked good.

This is a great place and we will be back.

This past Saturday night we went especially because the owner, Steve, was to play with his Allstar Band. We brought another couple and we had high expectations as we have heard Steve sit in with other bands there. Not only were our expectation met but they were by far exceeded. We heard some BIG songs by by big artists that normally don't get covered by a local band, done EXTREMELY well! Steve seems to be able to adjust his voice to suit what ever song he is performing. Incredible skills were performed by all of the ALLSTAR members. Drummer was incredible as was the bassist. Would have liked a little more volume from the lead guitarist. Just a short word regarding the food. This is a musical venue with wine and beer. The food is good but don't go hungry. We waited over two hours for food.

Excellent shop as always. I've been going here since they were in their old location without the restaurant.

The owner and his wife are passionate people who really love what they're doing. Extremely extremely knowledgeable and personable. I never leave here without having an awesome conversation. If there's a small, local business to support, this is it. I'd much rather spend my money here than the faceless megastores.

I went in looking for a acoustic for a little gig I had on the weekend and I was happy to say with my budget of cash I had, there were very nice guitars with very affordable prices. I was extremely happy with the service. I will defiantly continue going to this place for a long time. if your looking for a guitar and your in the area look no further you've found your destination :)

Stopped in by chance this week. I love to see family owned music stores like this, and was pleased to meet with the owner. He is very knowledgable about his products and has priced his guitars quite fairly (and he carries a fairly broad line in all price ranges).
I have not yet purchased, but have already seen my next guitar. And, I will be coming back to purchase.

Purchased a Seagull - Natural Elements from Steve about a week ago and I am loving it. The guitar is beautiful in both sound and appearance, just be sure to have Steve check the height of the strings. He will adjust the truss rod to increase the playability of the guitar. I love the guitar and I really appreciate Village Music!

Cool spot! They have everything you need plus a cafe/bar. We were in the area and dropped by to pickup a pack of saxophone reeds and wound up staying for over an hour, chatting with Keith and Steven. Great vibe, will be back.

6 months ago, I walked into Village Music wanting to buy my first 'ukulele. The owners and staff were extremely helpful, and I walked out that day with a great beginner 'ukulele. I've been a regular customer there ever since, and I recently visited Village Music seeking to upgrade to an exquisite Hawai'ian-made 'uke. They helped me out immensely through that process.

Great owners, good service, reasonable prices, and they reward loyal customers. Seriously, pay this shop a visit. You won't regret it.

Particularly like the cafe/bar. This is a music experience ... the way it should be. Pricing was fair and reasonable. Staffed by musicians in thier own right. Will definitely be back:)

I have bought 2 items online from Steve and Donna from Village music Wellington and could not be happier with the service and products. Shipping was extremely fast and my TC Diddo looper was packed with care and arrived in pristine condition. Was really impressed with their overall professional service and will most definitely be my store of choice for all my future guitar accessories. Thanks Steve and Donna!

It is my favorite venu in Wellington. I do open mic Wednesdays..Thursday is Jazz night and Fridays and Saturdays live music. It has a homey feel and the owners Steve Willey and Donna Barone Willey are like family to me. Plus the burgers are to die for as well as a decadent chocolats cake for dessert. Choose this place for entertainment and comfort and you'll become a "regular:.

The music events here are so very worth attending! Food is good, drinks are good, prices are very fair, entertainment is high quality, and the staff is very nice!! What more could you want???

Amazing food! Great selection of beer and wine! New York strip Chicken and Waffles fresh salmon meat and cheese boards all amazing stuff prepared fresh!
