Mah Smart Braids

My experience here was great ! They did my hair exactly the way I wanted it done and were very professional about it. I highly recommend people to come here if you want your hair done right. I'll definitely be coming here from now on.

This place is amazzzing. She did such an amazing job in such a short time people are constantly asking me where I got my hair doneI have no complains you have a customer for life thank you from your Nigerian sister

I visited this salon for some jumbo cornrows. I scheduled an appointment but I was seen almost 45 minutes later. I was quoted one price for the style but I ended up paying more. I should have left then but I didn't. While braiding my hair, they used a very small tooth comb that was pulling out my hair. I immediately asked them to switch combs which they did. In sum, this would not be a salon I would recommend or would be revisiting.

I walked into the salon at 3:02pm after Lady 1 told me to come back at 3pm for 2 braids. After realizing 2 braids maybe too much tension on my hair, I switched to four braids. Lady 3 would be doing my hair because she was almost done. I didn't mind waiting 30 mins or so for her to wrap up her client. All for her to tell me I need to wait for the owner ( lady 1) to do me because she ( lady 3) couldn't join my braids. So she takes the person that came in after me. I have to now wait for lady 1 to do my hair.(FYI: she was doing tiny braids on her client) Now I'm annoyed. So I take a nap. Still not finished. That was another 1.5 hr wait. Instead of lady 3 taking over lady 1's client and not taking someone who came after me. I had to wait after coming in ON TIME... ---My point is all I wanted was 4 braids and instead I waited 2.5 hrs for them after being given a time. They could have did musical chairs. Poor service. And on top of that my feed-in braids are jumbo braids. Whatever.. and it took all but 30 mins to 40 for my hair.

I have been a customer for 4 years and even brought my family and friends as clients. I will never return wasted my time had an appointment at 2pm. Waited to tell me when I arrived her sister will be doing my hair instead of her still had a client in her chair. Her sister then arrives 55 minutes late got there started on my hair instead her braiding, she stops to take pictures of other hair. I asked her to finish my hair I’ve already been waiting long then asked to get a discount due to the inconvenience of my appointment time. Her sister got loud and aggressive waving scissors and pointing her finger at me. Very unprofessional does not know how to manage people’s time I’m disgusted and done with them for good.

Don't do it! Stylist "Umi/Oomo"raised her voice and was very disrespectful to my mother over a hair style. She even mentioned being "the best braider...this is not slavery" in regards to timing and styling her hair. Absolutely inappropriate. Thankfully mgt ( Fatima) resolved the conflict that should not happened in the first place. She offered to re do my mother's hair. Unfortunately she left with a headache from the style and the overall experience. Get it right the first time and work on improving your customer service. She will not be returning.

Quoted one price and then when we got there was quoted another price and very bad customer service I was told I can go somewhere else because she had other customers and she did not. It was a child getting there hair done and I had to pay just as much as an adult. Your customers keep you in business and between me and my daughters we have spend plenty money here but won't be going back. Very poor customer service and I don't mind supporting black owned but this place won't get my money again.

I called prior to coming into the shop I was told that a full sew-in was $80 I explained that I only had half a head because my head is shaved both sides the owner quoted me $40 for half she was not there once I arrived so Julie did my sew-in Because I was in a rush to get to work I was not able to check her work I did later find out that she had missed braids with no hair I came to the shop to have my hair fixed and I was told that I would need to pay additional money to have my hair fixed I spoke to the owner she told me that if I wanted my hair fixed I would have to pay for it very unprofessional why would I pay to have my hair fixed stay away

The worst.... They yell over your head and pull your hair out
