Cap't Loui Decatur GA

I visited here 2 days ago, but I already want to go again. The photos make me so hungry. The sauce was soooooo good. While I'm writing this, I can't get rid of the taste from my brain taste cells lol. It was absolutely tasty. All of the seafood was the best quality. Don't forget to order garlic pasta and dip in the sauce. We ordered 2, but my kids ate all of them so I had to order again. The oysters was so fresh, too. I absolutely want to go again.

Ordered half pound crawfish and mussels, both delicious with Loui sauce (hot - enough spicy level) and side order of Garlic Noodles. Good service, did not get a drink. It was $28 excluding tip and taxes!

Tried Cap’t Loui for a weekday lunch and it did not disappoint! Very reasonably priced for a lunch special that included a beverage (I got the shrimp without heads and clams) and the garlic noodles - perfect lunch portion and delicious! Server was super attentive and friendly too. Restaurant was very clean too. Highly recommend!

Definitely the best seafood boiler you can find in GA! I tried it in Duluth location, so happy that they opened a second one in Decatur. The price is not cheap, but the quality of all the seafood is definitely worth it! I love to order a garlic noodle and toss it into the boiler sauce after I eat all the seafood.

I ordered take-out and it was delicious! Fried fish, very lightly breaded and cooked to perfection, accompanied by tasty and crisp Cole slaw that was NOT immersed in a puddle of mayo, as is so often the case, and some fine fries. The atmosphere is not to my liking, however, because there are too many TVs. It would be nice to have a TV-free area. Other than that, a great place!!

This place was absolutely amazing! My family decided to come in today for a nice lunch, and we were not. Disappointed at all! The seafood was all incredibly fresh, and the portion sizes were very generous. Everything was very nicely seasoned, and cooked to perfection. We had the soft shelled crabs (10/10), the fried shrimp (10/10) and the fish and chips! (10/10)

Jason and the team are so nice! Food is always amazing and the lunch special is one of the best in Atlanta. They have the best lemon pepper fries I’ve ever had! Must visit

This space is new in the Decatur neighborhood..... This was my first time and okay the short story is I will return! The service is spot on and the atmosphere is cool and progressive. The food was flavorful and I believe it will surprise your taste buds. I ordered and adult beverage which lived up to the title. Parking is tricky but not a deal breaker.

Service here is second to none. Came to Atlanta from South Carolina and stumbled upon this hidden gem. The menu has everything you need and is child friendly! Will definitely come back when we visit in the future. This place deserves 10 stars!

It was our first time here and it was GREAT... Kevin was our server(I'm bad with names so I hope Im right) but he was great... There was so many great things about this visit, the food to die for , out server was REALLY professional and helpful. His advice on the choice is sauces and sides were great.. I promise nothing but good things to say and I can't wait to go back... Even though the weather was bad( looked like we were going to lose power) he kept his cool and us too 🤣🤣 That you so much for a great experience...

My first seafood boil! I got the special B boil, with shrimp(no head), muscles, snow crab, and crawfish. For sides I had the garlic noodles and extra potatoes. Everything from the atmosphere to the service were top notch! Staff were friendly and Jason the owner was phenomenal and super friendly. The food was equivalent to up in the north east! I enjoyed and will definitely come back soon 🤩

We came on a Tuesday! They offer a dollar oysters deal so we did a dozen of those. They were super fresh and a little sweet.

For the boil, we got 2lb of snow crab, 1/2lb mussels, and 1/2lb clams in extra hot capt loui sauce. We felt the sauce was a perfect spicy without being over powering. Everything was cooked perfect and great pulls on every crab leg. Corn and potatoes weren’t over steamed which is a huge pet peeve of mine.

Service was prompt and friendly. Definitely worth trying!

We've been highly anticipating this Cap't Loui location to open! And indeed, it joins the other gems in the heart of Decatur. Parking is validated for 100 mins in a nearby parking deck. The service was quick, and the food came out hot, garlicky, and finger licking goooooood. There were many options on the menu. We got the 4 lb boil with 3 sides and this was perfect for 5 people. The fresh beignets at the end were a must! It was a beautiful yeasty roll dusted with powdered sugar. 10/10 would come again!

Update: Revisited again for dinner and got their fried seafood options this time. We got the fish po'boy and fried shrimp basket. The fried seafood was light and did not taste greasy at all. Both were very filling. We also got the cap't loui sauce on the side (a must!). There is also an option to choose different seasoning options for the fries.

Food, drinks and service were all on point! The drink “ Louie Beach” was very tropical (they have drinks to go) and I food was delicious! I like Spicy but medium was not the typical medium…..it was hot and tasty. Garlic noodles…recommend.

You all know we loved it when you see the second photo. I swear we couldn’t finish it all bc of our limited stomach capacity not the food. ALSO. This place is super clean (especially the restroom). I’ve never been to a seafood boil place where food, service, and place hits all my high standard. 한국 분들~~ 여기 진짜 깔끔하고 맛집입니다. 얼른 오쉐요이.

Amazing! The sauce is Delicious, so much better than a lot of places I have visited in Atlanta! The oysters on the half shell are Everything and not to mention the Crab Legs and all the fixings…please remember to order the Garlic Noodles they taste Terrific! Enjoy

This is our go to spot for oysters and crab. We love the sauce they use; it’s the perfect mix of sweet, savory, and spicy. Each time we’ve been here, Jane has been our server, and she always gives exceptional service.
Wish I could give them 6 stars.

I came to visit friends that lives in the area and we were craving crawfish for dinner since it’s that season. We ordered the boiler special C, which is 4 lbs of anything, market price, and it comes with 3 sides. All boiler specials/combos come with 1 corn and potato. We got 1 lb of crawfish, shrimp head on, mussels and clams in Cap’t Loui medium spice. We chose lemon pepper fries, steamed rice, and boiled eggs for our sides. We also ordered sausages. Overall, everything was good and fulfilled our seafood craving. The sauce was a good spice level for us. Tim was an amazing server who was very patient and kind. Definitely ask for him to be your server when you come!
