Parkland High School

Teachers work hard, harder in recent years than ever with very little in compensation or gratitude. Students are only as good as the efforts that they put into their own education. For those who try hard and work diligently, but are still not getting the results that they hope for, please seek out your teachers or guidance counselor for help. If you ask and thank them politely, I'm sure you'll get more than just a good education! Good luck and enjoy all that is offered in life!

My son attended carter G woodson and they didn't offer drivers ed. My son took drivers ed in Oct 2015. He passed it and turned 15 feb 2016, we have yet to here word on the driving portion of drivers ed. He will be 16 feb 22 2017. Next month it will be a year since he took it. I've called the drivers ed teacher earlier in the year and left messages no one return my call. I left messages at the principle office and I went up there and left a message with some woman in the principle office still no phone call. I called to the central office and spoke to a gentlemen. Several time who said someone will contact me and that was around the end of may or beginning of June and I still have not heard anything. I paid for my son to take drivers ed and he only received half of the class. In order for my son to get his permit I have to pay more money to a driveing school which is 400 which I don't have and I don't think that is fair. I'm a single mother of 3 and if this is the way Parkland handle parents may God help the children that attend their bc I wonder how many of them are being neglected. I wonder how many parents are being ignored.
