Came here for the live music. Menu looked great, but wasn’t our primary drive to visit. Food was absolutely perfect, service was superb and the band was wonderful. We had the wings as and app, then the beef tenderloin and shrimp pasta for our entree’s. MacKenzie was our server and I have to say, one of the best servers I’ve had. Very knowledgeable about the food and drink menu, on top of service, but also super chill and personable. We haven’t even left the restaurant and we had to leave an excellent review. Highly recommend!!

Cameron was an excellent server, attentive and personable. The atmosphere was classy and modern and the food top notch. I had the smoked chicken and hibiscus cold tea.

One of the best restaurants in the area. Lamb rack was quite splendid and seasoned/cooked with perfection. The brussel sprouts it came with paired well as did the cornbread. We also enjoyed the winter summit pizza! Food came in a decent amount of time and there was lovely music from a live band. Would recommend.

We chose the Beacon to celebrate our son’s graduation and we had a lovely experience! Cocktails were thoughtfully prepared and all of our food was delicious. We had 6 people and we shared a bunch of different dishes- gnocchi, meatballs, okra, salads, pastas, lamb chops, pork chops! So good! And we loved the cozy dining room with a fireplace too! It’s the perfect place for a nice dinner in Boone.

Ate here for the first time last night. I had the pork chop and my wife had the fish special. Both were excellent. Very good wine list and beer selections. The pour for the wine was a little small but likely was the standard 5 ounces. Nice music by a 3 piece combo. Will be coming back the next time in the area. Nice that Boone has another fine dining restaurant to go to.

First time here and impressed. Service was excellent and no time was wasted to ask for our drink and appetizer order. Drinks were quick and appetizers were right behind them. I ordered the Fried Oysters Rockefeller and was very curious as to how this would be served. Fried oysters sat on a bed of creamed spinach with shaved Parmesan on top. Absolutely delicious. One person in our party is a vegetarian and they had several good options to choose from. One of which I was tempted to order as a carnivore. The duck confit was flavorful, moist and cooked perfect. It was served with a pumpkin risotto which was good. Let me say I’m not a fan of risotto, but I understand the labor involved to make it right and this was cooked perfectly. I will definitely go back and look at one of the grilled meat options. New favorite restaurant in Boone!

My wife and I ate here for the first time a few weekends ago, and will definitely be coming back fairly regularly.

We arrived about 15 minutes before our reservation time, with the intent of sitting at the bar and having a drink before our table was ready, and we did exactly that.

We bought a bottle of wine and enjoyed a pleasant conversation with the bartender, until we were told our table was ready at exactly our reservation time.

We ordered the gnocchi appetizer, which was so so so so good.

My wife ordered the lamb, and absolutely loved it. I went with the filet, and while I'm not usually a fan of the pre-sliced steak approach, I didn't mind it here at all. My steak was amazing.

Then we shared some tiramisu dessert, and while it didn't really remind me of tiramisu, it was lovely.

Our server was amazing. Very knowledgeable, pleasant, and struck the perfect balance of letting us enjoy our evening, and making sure we were taken care of.

Atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy, a hair less than elegant (which fit perfectly,) and enjoyable.

Definitely give this place a shot.

Our meal could not have been any better if the good lord himself made it. Cocktails were absolutely amazing. Best cocktails in town, probably the state! We had a table of 8 and everyone had nothing but good things to say!! We will be back, probably tomorrow! If you do not eat here on your high-country trip, just go home. You will be disappointed. Eat here. Beef tenderloin, fried oysters, pork loin, zucchini fritters, and best of all MOUNTAIN MIDNIGHT mezcal cocktail.

We chose The Beacon for our daughter's birthday dinner and we were so happy we did! The entrees and appetizer were delicious and locally sourced. The presentation was gorgeous. Our server was very professional and her suggestions were very helpful! If you have not tried this little hidden gem in the middle of town on HWY 105, please do!

Such a good meal, but started with great cocktails. Matty did his magic so we just ate at the bar. Had the gnocchi appetizer, Caesar salad and tenderloin... We will be back!

Without a doubt, the Beacon is one of my fav spots in Boone to have a bite and fellowship! Aside from the really tasty menu, the serving staff is so professional + accommodating and the bar staff is stellar! I have really enjoyed going to the late night jazz jams on the first Friday of the month! The lights go down low, local jazz musicians tear it up, and there is a special food and bev menu. Perfect for a date night or a chill end-of-the-week decompression! Def check it out!

Nice upscale restaurant for a town that always manages to find gems like this. Nestled near a mini-golf course and within a multi-sector office complex, Butcher Bar (as the locals call it) is discrete and unassuming on the outside, but modern and naturalistic at the same time. The menu offers a limited selection of each course yet seemingly always offers something that “hits the spot”. The wine selection offers diverse choices from both Old World and New World varietals, and has a decent cocktail menu. The staff are also very welcoming and friendly. Excellent choice if you are in Boone.

I love this place, I have been several times and the food has been outstanding each time. Not normally a pasta girl, but their pasta is homemade and out of this world. The salads are so tasty and unique, and there's something different every time. The cornbread with rotating special butter is a favorite as well.

This was some of the most delicious food I’ve had. The pizzas were so good and the cocktails to die for. Their cornbread with clarified butter was finger licking good!

Our second visit here and it was as amazing as the first. Fabulous cocktails & dinner menu but the staff & ambiance makes it so worth it. Can’t wait to come back.

Came on a Wednesday for cocktails and dessert. $4 off cocktails, what a deal! This place is beautifully done, it’s modern but cozy. The cocktails were delish, we tried several and no complaints. The dessert was light and tasteful. My parents live in the area so they will definitely be returning for the Tuesday night live music and wine/cheese board deal. Also stole some glances at the food coming out of the kitchen and it all looked so good. Heard the table next to us say it was the best meal they’ve had all year! This will be a place we return to!

This meal was fantastic! Shrimp and garlic linguine with peppers was so unique and phenomenal.

Not pictured, the bolognese was a 10/10!

Farmers salad was really fresh and great size.

Very friendly staff! Would definitely come back.

Thanks for having us !

Amazing one of the best in Boone. Great GF options.
One of the rare occasions I ordered steak and thought the chef did a better job than I would have on the grilling.

A brilliant option in Boone for uniquely crafted meals in a non-pretentious environment. Best make a reservation, as The Beacon is busy and only serves dinner.
