I just wanted to say thank you to Dr. Meier and his staff. This place has left a lasting impression on me and my older son who recently had to put his Jack Russell (Max) of 13 years to sleep. They were all so kind at such a hard time. The sympathy card came in yesterday and was filled with kind hearted messages of care and support. This was our first time here. After looking around for a good vet, we decided to bring our min pin here for a dental procedure. I was stressed about the procedure, but Dr. Meier was very kind and informative about everything. The staff was amazing, they really care about their patients and it shows! My Harley has been so much happier and more active since the procedure, he’s like a new dog. Overall, we had a great experience. I highly recommend this veterinarian.

Dr. M and his team have been wonderful to our 5 dogs and 2 cats for over 10 years. He is committed to giving the best care to all the animals but also cares about their humans very much, he will not try to push unnecessary procedures and will always give you the most honest and transparent advice and consider all options. We have been very lucky to have him as our veterinarian.

My bulldog had a growth that needed to be removed from her eye. I had been given a quote prior that was higher than I ever expected. So I reached out to my friend that works with animal rescues and she highly recommended Leon Valley due to their fair and reasonable pricing and knowledgeable staff. I was not disappointed!
From the initial phone call to the in person consultation, the entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. I appreciated Dr. Meyers no nonsense approach and he def was fair and way more affordable that I was able to schedule the appointment for her surgery that day.
It’s been roughly a week and she is back to her hot girl self! I highly recommend Dr. Meyer and his entire staff and will be going to this location for all my fur babies going forward. Thank you again so much for all that you guys do and for better enabling me to provide my pups the best care.

I don’t often write reviews, but I needed to write one today. I really appreciate Dr. Meier. You can tell he knows what he’s doing and enjoys what he does. Even on a hectic day at the clinic he was never rude or quick with my appointment. He took his time with me and my dog, Bruno and even gave us free samples for him. I hated vet clinics because they’re notoriously known for being super expensive but I think this clinic is very affordable and I fully trust Dr. Meier with my all my pets. Definitely will be recommending him to everyone I know!

This vet saved my sister’s dog’s life, so I took my cats here. My cat’s teeth cleaning went perfectly, and every other prob was solved moving forward. I trust this Doc and his vibe and experience, and the rates are reasonable.

First time visit with Dr. Meier. Our two babes had bad breath. After calling our regular Vet we were told it was impossible to see anyone for a couple of weeks. On an off chance decided to try Leon Valley. We got in the next day for one and the following day for the second. Both had dental surgery two days later and are doing wonderfully well. Dr. Meier is a kind, careing Vet. I highly recommend anyone with animals to visit his office.

Dr Meir is a excellent veterinarian as I can’t express my gratitude for his professionalism and superb experience he fully examined my dog who which was diagnosed with heart failure I came to him for a second opinion which I could not expect that my dog wasn’t going to make it he literally sat on the floor with me and explained how I needed to think of my pet and not my self as I couldn’t deal with losing him trying to keep him alive and at home was only going to prolong his suffering thank you dr Meir for the time and your recommendation as I needed to face the truth I dearly loved my boy as I am heart broken your staff was wonderful and compassionate I can’t express my gratitude for your help thank you

Our Vet retired so we came here. The front desk was quick and friendly and we really enjoyed meeting our new Doctor. He is very competent and caring.

Dr. Meier and his staff have taken care of my Havenese for three years, since he was a puppy. I have used their boarding services as well. This office is friendly, and provides good care for a good price! I am very happy with their services.

I've been taking my pets to Dr Meier for 20 years. Best Veterinarian in San Antonio. Hands Down. Doesn't rip you off. Explains everything to you. Doesn't rush you. He helped 2 of my dogs cross over to Rainbow Bridge. Very compassionate. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

EDIT POST. Tuesday at 245 my Bear had to leave me. He is a puppy again and running with Elton Quincy and Poncho.

I have 3 dogs who come here and they whole staff is amazing and treats my pets like there own I would recommend to anyone with pets

5 stars isnt enough! Though my furr baby was a patient for many years its just recently i truly acknowledge and appreciate the love and compassion these animals receive at Leon Valley Veterinarian. Dr. Meier took such good care of my sweet girl Sugar who recently passed away. He was there for her every step of the way and treated her as if she were his own. I'm so thankful to have had such a compassionate and caring Dr. For my girl and have no doubts that my sweet boy will be very well taken care of at this office as well. Thank Dr. Meier and Christian for everything, my family and I are forever grateful.

After listening to my dogs symptoms and my concerns he then performed a quick exam and knew exactly what was going on which I had suspected from the beginning. No unnecessary tests or products. I greatly appreciated that. He is able to diagnose and treat based on his experience and common sense. I am very thankful. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a stand alone and honest vet.
