Dr. Glenn Mitchell Memorial Park

Beautiful little park near the historic McKinney Square. The city hosts events here throughout the year, including Dia de Los Muertos and Pride. The park has benches and a lovely little fountain. No bathrooms, though there are local businesses close by. Free street parking on the square. Nice place to sit in the shade and read a book.

First time ever with a booth at Mystical Market. The vibe was great.

Great location, unfortunately a lot of hippies are moving in. Great cultural area and love the old houses around the main plaza.

This park doesn't have a restroom or playground equipment. It's mainly a place to go sit on one of the 4 benches that surround a water fountain or have a picnic on the grass. It's also the perfect outdoor setting for various events that take place here.

Relaxing park with fountain. More for a quaint rest or to read a book near downtown McKinney. Local shops and restaurants are a skip away.

Very nice quiet and shaded area close to downtown McKinney. The sound of water helps with the relaxed setting. Like even more after learning the story behind the park.

This small park is ideally set with mature trees, fountain, and beautiful art sculptures that acts as the greeting entrance for our Historic Town Square in McKinney.

When Dr. Glenn Mitchell, who has delivered more babies in McKinney, Tx., passed away, 8 of his friends bought the piece of land on The Historical McKinney Downwtown Square. The 8 benches surround the pool and pedestal fountain bowl. The water is kept kleen by a swimming pool filtration system. It's also a wishing well.

Love the geese and ducks. Feed cracked corn bi weekly to them.🦆
