We LOVE this hidden gem of a coffee place in McKinney! We’ve been twice now, have tried a latte and a chai latte, as well as a bag of Swahili Six Gun coffee beans and a bag of Kenya Kid coffee beans to take home. Fantastic!!! Try the Crackle—you won’t be disappointed!!!

They are opening a second location, near the flour mill downtown. They roast on Thursdays, and give tours on Saturdays at 11 am. If you haven’t been here yet, what are you waiting for???

Love, love, love this coffee shop! The employees are wonderful! They make you feel like you are going to visit a friend. They have a variety of coffee beans you can purchase. They also have great lattes, pour overs and iced coffee drinks you can enjoy there or take to go. Happy to support local small business.😄☕

I’m from Wisconsin traveling through, decided to stop in for some coffee while I wait for a friend. The cup of coffee took a while to Master but because it was a “pour over” it felt like the gentleman put blood sweat and tears into my cup. (Not literally) This could be possibly the freshest coffee I’ve ever had at a coffee shop.

Great place for coffee, with great coffee. Love this place. They are really nice folks, with great service. Go check out the coffee roasting walk through, that they do on Saturday mornings. It is a great learning experience for adults and children. If you have not visited yet look for their new coffee shop coming in the Downtown area in the next couple of months, (February of 2020) and they will still do the coffee roasting at the original location.

Great coffee very smooth and full of flavor. Can’t wait to go back for their little tour that they do on Saturdays on their coffee blends and roasting. All done right there in the same building. You Need to go and check it out. Thanks Connor for your coffee recommendations.

Best coffee! Roaster Dave is friendly and very knowledgeable. I dropped in to try a cup before buying and found out they do tours. I missed the tour, but Dave was happy to share their process with me. It was fun to spend time with such a passionate person. My husband and I bought several pounds and intend to buy from Texakona instead of shipping our coffee in from our previous sources. I’m so happy to have found this place!

Love the coffee. The Bluebonnet is outstanding. Staff is very friendly and professional. Buy via mail and they always ship promptly the same day. Never disappointed with the business or the coffee. Will be a life long customer.

ADDITION: I moved to Arkansas and missed their coffee hard, so now I mail order. THEY SHIP FASTER THAN LIGHTNING. I suspect a human basically is awake at all hours waiting for orders to come in and then proceed to pack it in under 2.7 seconds.

Thank you. I always put my order in when I only have enough for two days and it's an emergency. Much love from Arkansas. <3

Amazing service. Excellent pour over. Will come back to purchase their packed beans.

Pacific Trade Winds Coffee Co has THE best coffee! We LOVE their Bombay Bluebonnet blend for our home espresso machine; no more nasty burnt beans (from a certain corporate coffee company) for us. The price can't be beat either; we bought a 5# bag! The Heavenly Hawaiian 100% beans are true to the name...heavenly! And, the family/staff are the sweetest people. We are SO glad to have found this place, which happens to be close to home too :)

Went here the other day with the wife and kids. Great place to grab good coffee. They've done a great job of taking the acidic bite out of their roasts. Owners were there and very friendly. I even see them around town randomly. They have a lot of cool coffee related museum pieces to check out and the roaster is right there where you get your coffee. Worth dropping in for a cup of coffee and to grab a couple pounds. Also recommend grabbing their streak rub, it's awesome!

My husband and I went here for the first time today. We ordered lattes, which were so good and very cost-friendly! They were giving a tour to show how they roast the coffee beans, which was very interesting and informative. Afterwards, we bought a half pound of the beans that we had seen them roast. We are excited to try our new coffee and excited to come back to the store again soon!

I cannot go on enough about this coffee. I absolutely love the Honduran Honky-Tonk blend. I drink it black, it's one of the few coffees out there that I can drink black.

Such excellent coffee. Perfect place to get beans. The beans come from Hawaii and are roasted locally and the coffee produced is much smoother and less acidic. Here, they are very helpful and will let you try out the coffee before buying beans. There's also a gift shop here, that includes coffee related items, such as pour-overs, books, t-shirts, and lots of other items

I defy you (cleche intended) to find better decaf coffee, more open and knowledgeable people, or just an all around more pleasant experience with a roaster.
If you're looking for some really top shelf, spectacular coffee, this is where you'll find it. If not, I'm sure there's a star bucks somewhere close.

Not only did we get a couple of great bags of coffee, we also got a complete education about the growing process, the harvesting process, the roasting process, and the brewing process. Dave does this because he loves to, and all the folks there just love what they do, and it shows. You'll never find another place like this one.
