I always recommend Ray to anyone around Provo! He has helped me out a lot as a college student— he installed my air filter for me at no cost which meant a lot to someone that knows nothing about cars. He is so friendly and remembers his customers well. I always trust him to only do what needs to be fixed and not upcharge me for anything else!

I have a college son living in Provo (I live in a different state). Of course, he has the typical college car - OLD. He has gone to a couple of different shops in the area and Bradford Automotive is by far the most reliable and trustworthy. I wish I could be closer to help my son with some of the smaller repairs, but I'm grateful for Bradford Automotive.

Super quick and easy. I can for an emissions check, and I was in and out in about 20 minutes. They’re able to print all the stuff right there, so I don’t have to worry about going to another place to get the paperwork taken care of.

We had such a great experience working with Bradford Automotive. Traveling from another state during a busy holiday weekend and the owner bent over backwards to help us out. Our brakes were completely worn out and causing us tremendous stress with long travels still ahead of us, and the owner took his personal time to coordinate our car being fixed. Completely honest and trustworthy service, pricing, and incredible customer service I've never experienced with a car dealer before! Thank you SO much!!

Bradford has always been nice and cooperative with my busy schedule. I was able to drop my keys off in the key box at 6am and then just call in at 8 and that worked great.

Update: We’ve now been to Bradford for numerous issues on our aging car, and every experience has been phenomenal! When family had car issues while they were visiting, Bradford also had them up and running in no time!
They’ve always been honest, transparent, and personable, even telling us when there are less expensive alternatives like topping off our steering fluid every few months rather than then performing a $700+ repair. I really appreciate that!
They’ve certainly had our business and will continue to while we’re in the area!

Best mechanic I’ve been to! As an expecting mother, not having a car in the heat of summer is pretty awful, so I was so grateful for a quick diagnosis and quick repairs! They were so communicative, so kind, and in addition, the total cost was even less than expected, so we had an all around fabulous experience!

Cannot say enough good about this place. Was referred here by a family member. I would give 10 stars if it was possible. Long story short, but my daughters car (student in Orem) had issues with her brakes. After replacing pads and rotors, there were still issues. Ended up taking it to BMW dealership who suggested putting on new pads and rotors again. We consulted with Bradford and to my surprise, they wholeheartedly disagreed and asked we bring the car back to them to check. They ended up finding another issue (which the dealer did not find) which they worked and worked to get fixed. It took a little longer than we liked but in the end, we didn't care. Bradford found the issue, got it replaced and repaired. They went above and beyond any other shop I have dealt with. Too bad I don't live in Provo or I would take all my cars here for service. They are top notch and were extremely fair with price given the time they spent on fixing the issues. Thanks to all at Bradford who helped us!

My daughter needed some repairs done on her car. She took it to Bradford Automotive for a diagnostic. After determining the problem, we had them repair it. It was within 50 minutes when I got the call that the car was ready. Wow! what great service. The price was great, customer service was excellent, and time to get my daughter's car back was speedy. I appreciate them getting it in and out in under an hour! Thank you Bradford Automotive for being a great place for the community. You have a new customer and I will be recommending you to others.

Always very impressed how hard they try to fit everyone in on busy days. Explain things in a way that I can understand and they are patient and efficient with their interactions. Highly recommend. People are lucky they are this close to BYU campus

Short and sweet: best experience with a mechanic in Utah!!

Long review: I’m a DIY car person who learned everything I know from my dad. I am by no means an expert but I think I know a bit more than the average person when it comes to cars. Oil, brakes, and rotor changes are just things I do myself and in the past year I’ve changed my alternator and radiator. Now, being a girl makes dealing with mechanics a really unpleasant situation most of the time. In calling to get quotes for the repair I needed I had some mechanics laugh at me when I told them I had diagnosed the issuer myself by getting under my car and seeing the damaged part myself. More than a few mechanics wanted to charge me $60-80 just to diagnose it themselves before they’d do any repairs. Bradford automotive was quick, easy, and fair. Their price was the best I could find. They were kind, honest, answered my questions without being condescending or rude, and just generally talked to me like an adult who’s capable of understanding things, which isn’t the norm as a femme person talking to mechanics. 10/10 experience

I needed my running boards removed and was quoted $300 at another place, that it would take them 2+ hours and they couldn't get me in for another week.

I called Bradford and they got me in in 15 minutes, had the service done in less than an hour, and only charged me $65!

So efficient and very helpful! We will definitely be using them for all our car needs!

Truly an honest, dependable company with honest owners. 10/10 recommend. I've never felt so pleased walking out of a mechanic before. Instead of feeling cheated, as most mechanics make me feel, I felt that I cheated them because of the price-to-value ratio for their services.

I have two children at BYU and there was a problem with the car, a bad starter. Bradford Auto gave me a reasonable quote for the starter, and to replace the valve cover gaskets which were the source of the oil leak the killed the starter.
After the work was done and the car wasn't starting, they went the extra mile to find the problem, and their fees were very reasonable. Furthermore their communication was excellent, and they worked with me and listened to me, even when I was being distrusting and probably a little unfair.
As a rule I distrust auto shops until they show me that I can trust them. With two children at BYU, I will no longer worry about where to send their cars for repairs.

This place is incredible - go to for a mechanic. They do everything from the most basic oil change at a good price to intense repair work. Details below on my three visits.

I've come here three times. The first was because someone tried to jump my car but hooked up the leads opposite, and fried a bunch of fuses and internal wiring. They replaced all the parts and internal wiring and gave me a discount on the final labor.

The second time I needed my brake pads and brakes replaced. They let me bring in my own parts and used those for the service. Super fast service this time. Also refilled my tired and did a bunch of free checks for me, made some recommendations as to service that could be done but just let me know for next time.

The third time I had them disconnect a third party security system, change the oil, change the lug nuts on the tires because they had swollen, do a bunch of checks for 150k miles, and a few other things. They did all of it super fast and at once, which made for really low labor costs, and gave me feedback about how my car was doing.

Overall, best mechanic experience I've ever had, I wished I could bring them with me when I move away from Provo.

I just had to update my review because I am so grateful to them! The owner is honest and doesn't take advantage of his customers. So many places I have gone to in the past have left me wondering about the honesty of mechanic shops because they try to charge me for all kinds of things that my car doesn't need. Bradford Automotive is so honest and good to me! There have been so many times they have saved me money and have told my that my car doesn't need what other places have tried to get me to hire them to do. This place doesn't do that. They are good to their customers and completely honest and aren't out to get people.

I’ve been to three auto shops in two weeks. Bradford is by far my favorite! Dependable, transparent, and fair. They fixed my radiator after it had been to two other shops and broke again. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing mechanic!! Super honest and they clearly want the best for the customer. Took my 06 forester in (204k miles) with some problems and they were very honest about it. Had lots of problems with my rack and pinion and Sean told me all my different options, even the ones that wouldn’t make them any money. Another problem he said they could fix or I could have my mechanic friend do since it wasn’t too hard, just time-consuming. I ended up just paying the diagnostic fee - which is the cheapest one of all the mechanic shops I’ve called in the area. You could really tell that they wanted me to have all the information and make the decision for my car - instead of insisting I pay them X amount of money for something “I absolutely have to get done”. Really appreciated that from Sean! Very honest and nice to work with.

Definitely a great shop, will come here every time I need a fix (although hopefully my car won’t need any for a while!)
