Texas Department of Public Safety Driver License Mega Center

I arrived at the Arlington, Texas Brentwood Stair Driver License Mega Center at approx, 4:20 PM and my renewal process was successfully completed by 4:45! All the personnel, but especially Tammy who examined my application, were efficient, very helpful, courteous....and even jovial at times! My thanks to the entire staff! Gladys

If you make an appointment online at 715, then you will have a great experience! I got in for same day & was out within an hour. There was at least 40 ppl in front of me. Double check what documents you need. If in doubt, just bring everything, also don't forget your birth certificate because they need that for even renewals now. The guy that did my renewal was nice & pleasant. Overall a great experience, despite the horror stories lol

Walk ins are accepted at this location. People for walk-in have started standing in line from 3am. By 5am there were already 35 in line and by 6am it’s more than 60 in line. The DPS staff started distributing tokens for walk-in at 7.15 am and they did that for around 40 people. Turn around time if you are first 15 in line would be 30-45 mins from 7.30am. The parking lot is huge with handicapped parking and ramp at the entrance door.
The staff were nice and helpful.

They were very fast. Appointment was at 3 was sitting down by 3:05. In and out in less than an 30min.

This place is awesome! Best DMV experience I've had in Texas that's for sure. I got an appointment the same day and didn't have to wait! Great staff as well.

This was probably one of the best experiences I've had at a dmv! I came here to take my road test after having a bad experience at the dmv in Tolar, and this place was so much better! I was really nervous about taking the test, but every employee there made me feel so comfortable! I easily passed the test! Definitely come here for all of your dmv needs!

Very impressed. I got lucky at 7:15am(system resets) and booked on line a same day appointment for 8:40. Showed 20 minutes before my appointment time and I was done in less than 30 minutes. Everyone was nice, friendly and helpful, facilities were clean and organized. Extremely rare for a government office. Congratulations and Thanks to all the staff, your an example of what a government service should be.

Seriously the nicest DMV. Super helpful staff. If you need a same day get there by 7:10 they have scan codes you can use to set up an appointment for same day. But be there early and be ready to wait.

Malcom is the BEST! I went in for my daughters driving permit. When I mentioned I would be back for my license renewal he offered to take care of it since I was already there. I was so grateful he saved me a trip! He was very friendly and personable too. Even our wait time was short. This was all around the best DMV experience I've ever had!

Thank you all for the many reviews that advised to log in at exactly 7:15am to get same day appointment...otherwise I would have not got in until a month after my CDL expired. Set same day appointment and was out in 45 minutes...wonderful staff!

They were very helpful. I went for an ID, and it only took 30 to 40 minutes. And I'm not saying it gives me an excuse, but I'm a lower extremity amputee. They were very courteous for my situation and very friendly. There was never a single type of rudeness or disrespect coming from the people who worked there. I have never seen that before at a DPS. That's how it should be everywhere you go but unfortunately it's not.

Awesome experience, i literally spent less than 10 mins inside. I had an appointment of early in the morning at 7:30. Infact i was the first one to check in. I came at 7:05am and as soon as i pull up i checked in right away, and got the ticket number A001, when i reached to the gate and saw more than 100 people were waiting patiently on line for the walk in appointments. But as soon as the gates got open they start giving the tokens for walk ins and at the same time all the people with the appointment started going inside.
Overall, Excellent service inside, really helpful people working.

The People There Are VERY Friendly ( unlike other locations). VERY Helpful As Well. I Went To Renew My DL And Was In And Out In A Reasonable Length Of Time. This WILL BE My New GO TO Location From Now On !

It’s really nice service and efficient, for those who doesn’t know, everyday 7:15 you can make the same day appointment, no need to wait for 2-3 months.

I must say these guys have become very efficient since I was here some 8 years ago. Extremely fast and very friendly.
