Hard Eight BBQ

Delicious and so tasty foods. I am an International traveler and travel to the USA a lot and have been to Dallas many times. I tried many places but I keep on coming back to this place for the buttery ribeye, jalapeno corn, pork chop, brisket, ribs, and baked potatoes! My family is addicted to this place every time we visit Dallas, Texas, we must stop here. This terrific incredible restaurant offers a cool ambiance, comfortable and clean with friendly staff. Sometimes I miss the food when I'm not in Dallas. I was like, let's do the review since I love this place so much. Highly recommended!

This is the kind of place I dream of when I come to Texas. What’s amazing about Hard Eight is that this place, which is smack-dab in the Metroplex, makes you feel that you’re out at some secret, remote location out in the country.

First of all, the smoker area is very impressive. Can’t imagine how much meat they cook here every day. It’s a well-oiled machine. There’s ample seating inside. Service at the bar is excellent.

I had a half pound of brisket with corn on the cob. I love the fact that beans are self-serve in the dining area — that’s old school. The brisket was outstanding. The corn and beans were good, but it’s the meat that you come for … and they do that so perfectly.

I cannot wait to come back. I see why this made Top 50 in Texas Monthly a year or two ago. Excellent BBQ.

Very good place to visit. Lots of choices to choose from. I had a 1/2 lb ribs which is about 3 ribs and 1 slice of brisket along with a corn on the cob. Way more good then I could eat. Food was tasty, the staff where great to deal with. I would recommend checking it out.

Not being from Texas we asked around for the most authentic Texan BBQ, we were told to go here. Let me start off by saying I got sick, sick because I could not control myself. It was WAY too good to stop eating. I'm not a smart man, because it was worth every bit of pain and pleasure. Just look at the pictures and you'll see what I mean. Brisket was awesome, pulled pork was amazing, the mac and cheese was so creamy, the sweet corn OMG! The sausage was cooked to perfection. It was dangerously good! Nice work team, you made it easy to spend my money here. No regrets but lots of memories. Now I'm going through withdrawals.

Some friends of ours in Michigan told us this was the place to grab BBQ while visiting the area. Amazing food, friendly staff and great atmosphere. They have lots of seating so don't be worried about lines (cafeteria style). We tried several if the meats and sides and was not disappointed. Loved the spicy BBQ sauce.

This is a theme park for Texas BBQ! Absolutely stunning atmosphere from the moment you step in. All of your senses are activated here...ALL. Meatfest on steroids! Not just abundant, but juicy, delicious, melt in your mouth delicious 🤤🤤🤤 we went crazy getting almost everything plus chicken plus fish plus sides plus onion rings...🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 try to take your first bite before things cool down... it will still blow your mind, but probably more so if it's still hot off the press! the final bite was off the pecan pie.... forever ruined! That boy melts in your mouth! Like butta, and i could almost taste butter flavor on top of the delicious other parts. The pecan tasted like it was especially pampered with love before being placed on to the pie... i will drive 3-4 hours to eat here again!!!!! Build on in College Station please!

The food is always amazing! The amount of food and selection available is vast and the servers are always so friendly. If you eat in, they offer free baked beans as well as plenty of seating.

I would recommend this place if you want a quick yet filling bite to eat.

I will say it is a bit pricey. So don't expect to eat their cheaply, but it is worth it!

This is a great place to have dinner, although the exterior may appear a bit sketchy. When I arrived in my Uber, I initially thought I was in the wrong place, but once inside, I was pleasantly surprised. Since it was my first time, I mentioned this to the chef, who kindly recommended a few options. Unfortunately, I ended up ordering everything he suggested, not realizing it was more than enough for two people. As a result, the bill was a bit pricey, but I take responsibility for my mistake. If it's your first time dining here, just be cautious not to make the same error. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

Great Texas bbq atmosphere. I like the sausage and sirloin steak bbq. The Mac and cheese good too. Plenty of seatings and parking. Definitely want to come again. Just let your smell lead you on what to order, it will not go wrong!

Impressive smoke coming out the minute you arrive. Walk in and watch what others are getting. Plenty to choose from. I got a little of everything. Also close to the drink station self serve beans. Be sure to grab some they are really good too. Big tables around the inner seating with high tables along the walls. Seat really uncomfortable
There is covered patio seating too If you leave hungry your doing something wrong. I also chose the spicy sauce it is really good and not too spicy.

An awesome experience!! The brisket was one of the best I’ve ever had. They have so many options and real authentic Texas BBQ. We had dine in and lots of space inside and outside. Plenty of parking, environment is friendly. I’m from NM and I will definitely come back again!! Highly recommended!!

Delicious 😋 When you're from a state that knows how to cook BBQ!! You want great, fall-off the bones tasty BBQ. HARD Eight never disappoints. Always on point. 😋 😋 😋 Hubby and I always bring our out of town friends and family here. Look up the menu you Carnivore 😋 🤣

We really loved trying this place!

The meat is super tender and the BBQ sauce is a perfect combination of tangy & sweet. We were lucky to get there before the dinner rush as when we left there was a line out the door.

We enjoyed all the sides and community style tables.

One couple we met said it’s one of the best BBQ spots in the area. Definitely would recommend!

Want great Texas barbecue? This place ticks all the boxes. You pick what you want and how much. One of their employees took the time to explain everything to our large group. The brisket is fantastic. The turkey is always good, as are the sausages. My go to happy meal is the stuffed baked potato. You get your meat first and then get the fixings. The desserts are great. We had pecan pie. It was perfect. They have all the standards like the bread slices and the beans. It’s a fun place with plenty of seating. Be prepared to wait at lunchtime; it’s a popular place. But it’s worth it.

I had visited about 13 years ago and was pleasantly surprised that we made our way back.

It was as good as my memories. Brisket, spicy sausage, and the ribs were utter perfection.

Potato salad, fried okra and other sides were immense in taste.

Just love this place and we will be back, without a doubt.

Hard Eight BBQ was recommended to my group of friends by a local and it definitely did not disappoint.

The menu is pretty straight forward.. MEAT.

I couldn't help but to order just about everything on the menu. The menu doesn't do justice to standing at the cutting station and watching your BBQ get sliced up.

Amazing food. The staff was phenomenal. A little overwhelming at first but they helped you every step of the way with a smile on their face. The cost well projects the quality of the food and experience. The beans were surprisingly delicious despite looking bland from first impression. Very clean. Highly recommended.

This place rocks. We don't have anything like this in Chicago. I love all the options. All the meat was great. All the sides were great. My favorite was probably the mac n' cheese. My eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach, but then again, getting two meals out of one trip ain't a bad deal.

This is an excellent place for Barbecue, portions are big and you literally walk and pick the food you’re gonna eat! I saw the ratings so I figured we give it a try. You won’t be disappointed, great service, great food and friendly people. If we go back to Texas we’re definitely stopping by again.

Delicious food, definitely get ready to make a line. The venue is huge, but it is just such a popular spot. Check out my pictures to see how big their smoking operation is. They are really nice when you tell them is your first time.
