Whiskey Cake Las Colinas

We got here for an early dinner so it was still slow. We were greeted and seated promptly. Cesar was our server and was in point with everything. He was attentive and stopped by frequently to check on us. I had the bone in pork chop and it was superb! My friend had shrimp and grits and he said they were as good as South Louisiana. The whiskey and bourbon selection is impeccable. By the time we left there was a wait so get here early if possible. Definitely a great place to try!

We decided to have a few appetizers and they were all wonderful. Pictures are the BBQ sliders - definitely will have again; the goat cheese fondue - super good and really rich. We also had the garlic hummus - excellent and loved the shaved veges that came with it. My wife also had an Old Fashioned that she enjoyed. We will return for sure!

Exceptional service from the moment my boyfriend and I walked in. No wait, we were seated right away. Drinks are delicious and served strong. Server was polite and attentive. 10/10 will come back!

Me and my coworkers were in Dallas for business and dined here for dinner. We didn't have a reservation and there was a little wait so we had some drinks at the bar. The atmosphere is great and has a rustic industrial vibe that feels homey and cozy, but still elevated.
Between the 4 of us, we tried 6 different cocktails and were impressed with all of them (I recommend the Tracy's Garden). When we were seated for dinner we enjoyed the goat cheese toast and brussell sprouts (probably some of the best we have ever had)! For entrees, we had the chicken pasta, shrimp and grits, salmon, and chicken and waffles. We all loved what we ordered! You can't leave without getting the Whiskey Cake - it is to die for! The only negative was that the service was a little slow. We would definitely come back!

We came here for a team Christmas dinner. For starters, we ordered the candied bacon and brussel sprouts. For my main course, I ordered the steak and opted for mac and cheese instead of fries. To finish our night, we shared a whiskey cake with their scratch made whipped cream. EVERYTHING was delicious!!! We sat outside on the porch, and they had their heaters on. It was nice except the heaters seemed to be a little too hot. We had to ask for someone to tell our waitress we were ready to order because the wait was getting to be a little long. Other than that, she was great, and the food was extremely good and highly recommended!

I went here for post dinner cocktails with family. The atmosphere is classy, quiet, and sexy. Edison lights and leather abound to make you feel at ease. I didn't order a whiskey drink but family did snd it was very smooth. They also have terrificly unique cocktails and their margaritas will punch you in the face so watch out. 😅

It was such a cute little restaurant! I loved it so much, the only thing was I wish if had more flavor for the price. Otherwise the drinks were super well crafted and the food presentation was on point. Def will be coming back with friends next time! Spent $50 (including tip) on 1 drink, 1 appetizer, and a meal. Not too horrible imo.

Pretty cozy place for family or reunion dinner. Server is knowledgeable on the menu and can recommend you what you need. Drinks are hitting the spot with the right ratio of alcohol and mixers. Highly recommend the steak here. The dessert can be a knockout blow to you due to its high content in sugar lol

Had Christmas lunch from work. Amazing place. We rent the small room. Delicious food. Just love it. Cake was so yummy! Omg! I am going back to try again. 💯 recommend.

Whiskey Cake got all the stars. We stopped in for lunch before our flight. Ordered the Hot Hen Sandwiches. They were delicious and huge. Enough to take half on the flight home for a light dinner. House made chips were yummy. Checked off every box for service, atmosphere, prices and food. Will definitely hit that place again next time. Highly recommend.

Lovely experience, they pride themselves of the source to table approach, which I also liked.
Food was very tasty, and the portions just right - not too much and not too little to leave you starving.
Took a moment to get a table on a Wednesday night, but you can wait at the bar.
Plenty of parking and overall very good service.

Visiting the area so our host made dinner reservations here. Was pretty crowded that night and noise levels were high so was a bit difficult having conversations. We don't really drink so a few of us tried a mocktail called Jessica wabbit. I found this refreshing and you can taste the carrot with some ginger kick. For appetizers we ordered roasted garlic hummus, candied bacon and deviled eggs. All were good flavorful choices. For entree I ordered the 3 lil pigs which were 3 pulled pork sliders and a side of sweet corn-edamane succotash. Sliders were huge so I ate one and packed the rest. Others at the table got the salmon and enjoyed it. For dessert we all shared the whiskey cake. Cake was moist and rich. There was whipped cream provided to mellow out the sweetness. Kinda reminded me of a sticky toffee pudding.

As it was a busy night there were some delays in service, however our waiter did come by often to check in on us and refill water. Overall, I really liked the food here and would consider coming again on a future visit to Dallas.

So this is an update. This is my favorite restaurant. Last time I was disappointed with the service, however the Manager Timothy made it right. Overall, I love the food and great customer services. Try, the chicken and waffles, you will not be disappointed.

Okay my husband and I have been talking about trying this restaurant for years. My brother actually referred us. It did not disappoint. This is a must try! It is a bit pricey but well worth it. You definitely get what you pay for here. Our server Jacob did an amazing job. Our food (Salmon&Steak), drinks, and dessert (whiskey cake) was OMG delicious and worth every bite 🤤. Great atmosphere and I loved the freshness of their ingredients. We will definitely be back.

12/31/2022-The food was superb!!! Our waitress was doing a great job and fumbled the ball a few times. She made a big mistake when it came time to pay the bill. We went with another party and she added our apps to their bill and then came back and was like oops you owe an additional $33.00, after we had already paid. The way she explained it wasn't making any sense and we had to wait an additional 30min for them to figure it out. Eventually the manager straightened everything out and took care of it, but it just took longer than it had to.

Sun., Feb. 4, 2024 - Everything was superb. They never disappoint. I tried the chicken and waffles and I was a little skeptical about the gravy and fried egg. I was pleasantly surprised 😯 It was delish 😋

This place came up as a “top rated” restaurant in the area so I decided to give them a try.

I was too tired to go in and dine so I ordered take out but hung around while my items were made so I got a good whiff of the basic experience:

For starters,
I dont like that you can’t order via a website or app… you have to call. However when I did call in, the person who answered the phone was super nice, patient, and efficient.

Upon arrival I noticed this establishment was well built with a barn/rustic theme. They advertise as a “farm to table” restaurant and the FIRST thing you see as you’re walking in is their little garden with Green peppers, Herbs, Tomatoes, etc. outside. Of course I asked and they said they do cook with the items they grow as well as support local markets for things they can’t grow on site! This made me super happy.

I ordered devil eggs and 3 little pigs. Be sure to know the devil eggs change seasonally so right now they’re a tomato topped with corn base — still really yummy but definitely a surprise. And the 3 little pigs was 3 pulled pork sliders with white BBQ sauce and coleslaw. My first order was cold and missing the sauce but the team was sooooo eager to make it right that I didn’t have to put up a fuss or provide extra explanation. They remade everything and my second time was definitely the charm.

Overall, I enjoyed this experience and look forward to returning the next time I’m in Dallas!

We needed seats for a group of 25. Whiskey Cake was able to deliver with only 10 minutes advanced noticed. The hostess was delightful and efficient. She and others quickly assembled a long table for us. The food and drinks were fantastic. The brussel sprouts were a big hit. We ordered more than 10 appetizers. People were sharing the different items, all appetizers were very good. Everyone raved about the main dishes too. I only got a photo of the mostly eaten brussel sprouts that I took to text my friend to tell them how good they were.

Recently had brunch here for a book club meeting, the entire experience was great! The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was super good. I enjoyed the jalapeño biscuits and the cinnamon roll, and the bacon. I would definitely recommend and would definitely go back!

Everything was solid. Drinks, entrees, sides, dessert, and service were all better than what we’ve come to expect at most places these days. Was nice to feel like the staff truly cared and wanted us to enjoy our food and experience there. Highly recommend and will be going back soon.
