I was at the Gaylord Texan for the NIET Conference and I was very impressed with the venue, but especially the service during such a busy week. There were multiple conferences at the same time, but the staff handled it seamlessly and even let us check in as we all arrived from the airport. The hotel itself is beautiful and we had fun walking around during our down time. The rooms had everything we needed and I loved having a place to sit and get ready in the bathroom. I want to especially thank Tish and Rachel who made our stay more enjoyable, but all of the staff was wonderful. Rachel was very helpful in letting us store our bags in an easy and organized way so that we could get to the airport quickly after our final session.

What an incredible stay so far -- and we just checked in today! I have to acknowledge the INCREDIBLE customer service by Porter, who checked us in! He was so kind, energetic and positive, smiling the entire time. He gave us a great room, made things very easy for us, gave us complimentary drink tickets, and 10% off at the spa!

The icing on the cake, literally, was when we got back to our room after dinner, there was a tray on our desk with Gummy Bears, Popcorn, Glazed Pecans, Beef Jerky, Pretzels, Hot Cheetos, Dublin Texas Root Beer and Dublin Cream soda, with glasses and napkins! There was a card on the tray. It was handwritten by Porter. He just wanted to send us this gift to welcome us and say good luck with the dance comp we were attending, and was hoping we were having an amazing time!

Porter, AMAZING! You made our day and night, and our daughter took pictures, because she was blown away by your thoughtfulness! We want you to know we will write corporate Marriott and tell them what an amazing and unforgettable stay this was, due to your kindness! THANK YOU!

Would highly recommend this hotel! Would highly recommend asking for Porter. It has been an unforgettable stay on the first day!

I really loved my stay here. Me and my husband did a weekend getaway and decided to use our Bonvoy points and we just had a fantastic time. Service was great and our room was comfy. Although the atrium itself is kinda noisy you don't hear it in your room.
Only drawback is trying to leave the garage. We paid for it but for whatever reason when we tried to leave using our room key we had to pay again.
Hopefully they can have a better process for that in the future.
I do recommend staying here though.

We spent New Year's Eve at the Gaylord Texan and without exception every staff member we encountered was friendly, sweet and helpful. Arriving parking attendant had a warm smile and provided pointers that started off our positive experience! Mobile check in was great...young man was very helpful. Lunch at Texas Station was good and our server, was so kind. Old Hickory Steak House dinner was exceptional. They took great care of us. An extra shout out to our parking attendant upon departure. She had such a sweet disposition and truly seemed to care about our visit. A very sweet person/employee! Every member of the was kind and seemed to enjoy helping their guests and the hotel is beautiful...Our first experience at Gaylord Texan but not our last

We went to Gaylord Texan resort and convention center during Christmas celebration and it was worth the trip. The Convention center is huge. The Christmas tree, Christmas lights, Miniature Christmas village were all great. Even the fountains at this place are huge..! The music in the background makes the experience memorable. We were at the convention center for 6 hrs. and it didn't feel that way. The staff that works here is very friendly and helpful, they guided us well and the staff recommendations were appropriate. The ICE was an great experience, so were the tubing other activities. Kids had lots of fun..!

I stayed for a birthday for one weekend and it felt like I stayed there for a whole week because there was so much to do. The inside-outdoor area was really cool and it reminded me of Rainforest Cafe a little. The rooms were somewhat small, almost average size for 2 queen beds. The room I was in had a balcony which was nice. There are 2 pools, and one of them (which has more stuff and is more for kids) you have to take a bus to get to. At the bigger pool away from the main hotel area you can watch planes coming to DFW, which was cool because you get to see planes that you don’t see everyday. I’m pretty sure there is one hot tub and it’s located on the actual hotel area, but it’s pretty small for such a big hotel. There were lots of restaurants that you can eat at, including a Starbucks. They also have little activities you can do, but I never tried any of them out. I really liked my visit here and I will be coming back for all my birthdays.

This Resort exceeds the excellent expectations that I’ve had comparing to the price per room. It is very elegant, clean, pleasantly inviting and welcoming!! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, pro-active and professional. The conference rooms are large, comfortable and very well maintained and equipped with up to date technology. Rooms are fancy and very comfortable. I am delighted by this place!

We came here for the holiday experience and boy did we find it. They really did think of everything here at this resort. We enjoyed the restaurants we visited in the resort, the rooms were clean and nice, the ice experience was incredible. One thing I also noticed that j thought was important was they sent a bell man up to your room and never let guests handle the carts. I felt this was good because at a lot of other resorts you never get a cart due to people who hog them. Very employee was super kind and helpful. We enjoyed and will be back for sure. Can’t recommend enough. Yes it’s expensive but that’s my kids Xmas gift is this trip.

Stayed the night here for a company Christmas event. This place was great. There were a ton of great places to shop and things to do. They had a lot of events going on for Christmas that would keep both kids and parents busy. There's also no shortage of great restaurants to choose from. The rooms were equally impressive with plenty of space, and everything was very clean on arrival. I would love to return here in the future to explore things a little more. I could easily spend a weekend here just checking out all of the stores.

Stayed there at end of December for the Cotton Bowl & New Years Eve. Great location, close to historic downtown Grapevine. Service was great, as always at Gaylord resorts. Same with the rooms.

The only negative was all the non-guests packing the hotel for the Christmas activities every day. Literally shoulder to shoulder throughout the hotel. The Gaylord in Nashville does a much better job of keeping the activities & non-guest access separated to minimize the flood of people in common areas. Texan really needs to take some lessons from that during Christmas season.

We visited for the ICE! exhibit and weren’t actually hotel guests. Highly recommend the ICE! experience. It was beautiful and lots of fun. However, food was expensive (dry hot dog with 2 mustard packets is $8), souvenir photo package options were $45 or $65… which was excessive considering garage parking is $40, tickets $50 each, one carousel ride (small carousel- for children!) ticket $11. Id definitely recommend eating prior to visiting. Bring GLOVES and a scarf for your ears for the ICE! exhibit and visit with young kiddos before arriving about licking the ice being a big NO NO! There is an ice slide (pictured) inside the exhibit that is included with your ticket. It’s the tubing slide outside of the exhibit that requires an extra ticket. The ice bar was cool and 2 drink options were fast, delicious, and strong. You can walk through the exhibit with your drink, However there are no garbage cans in the exhibit so you had to carry an empty cup full of ice in the 9 degree environment through the remainder of the exhibit, which was a pain while trying to also take photos. We will definitely return in future years with more knowledge under our belt!

We go every year for ICE! At the Gaylord. We live about 45 min away, but they stay is worth it. There is food on premises, but nothing special and not for the price. There are plenty of restaurants nearby that are excellent and better prices. You do also have to pay to park. But, the atrium is lovely. Christmas time at the Gaylord is very special and we will continue with this tradition.

I love the Gaylord Hotel, I visit their ICE! Exhibit every year and also I have attended several book signing (BookBonanza) and spent several weekends in the hotel. Restaurants are amazing, the rooms are always clean and well stocked and the service is always top notch. It is worth every penny!

We went for the Christmas ICE experience and this resort is great. There's lots to do inside with plenty of restaurants, bars and of course Christmas attractions everywhere. Would definitely come back again. It was an awesome experience with the kids- we were able to see Santa everyday from outside our balcony and enjoy the holidays.

My first time visiting the Gaylord Texan after hearing so much about it on social media and TV shows, and I must say that I was impressed. Decided to stay 2 nights in the main atrium area where you could witness from the balcony all the Christmas joy. I won't go into much into detail about it because you certainly have to see it to believe it. I will say that it's quite breathtaking. The room was a double and I would say average like Embassy Suite kind which didn't leave a memorable impression. , but thankfully the fun made up for it down at the Hill Country atrium. A couple of restaurants on site were good, but few others not so much, but I'll be leaving separate reviews for that. The staff at the Hotel were very friendly and helpful to all customers it seemed. While visiting, we also made it a point to see ICE "The Grinch" which I absolutely recommend and it's located it the Hotel convention center. So much fun and so much excitement that I'm actually looking forward to returning next year. Anyway, I'll let my photos speak for all the fun.

We have visited here many times over the years and always have such a wonderful experience. This last time we visited was for ICE during Christmas time and the deco, ice skating plus the games etc were just incredible. The restaurants inside are also a great experience! It’s a sweet spot for a staycation for us!

Should be a 20 star hotel according to my grandchildren . Absolutely fabulous. The staff from arrival to departure went above and beyond from FrontDesk to restaurants to the Hurtz rental car on property. Thank you for an amazing vacation for my family!

This resort does not disappoint. We had awesome balcony rooms you can sit and relax on. First time to see ICE and it was 9 degrees of magic. I suggest wearing extra warm clothes, gloves, & ear warmers. It was really crowded but still enjoyable. Beautiful hotel & comfortable rooms.

Beautiful hotel. Rooms are pretty basic but your paying for all the extras and beauty. We had a balcony room which I highly recommend so you can really take in the whole inside of the hotel. Only downfall we had was breakfast took an hr for room service (not an issue) but it arrived undercooked and bland. Next time we will go to the restaurant to eat vice waiting.

The Grinch ICE - Gaylord Hotels, particularly the ones in places like Nashville, Orlando, and Dallas, host "ICE!"—an annual attraction featuring incredible ice sculptures. The craftsmanship and attention to detail in these exhibits are remarkable. Visitors can explore themed displays, slide down ice slides, and admire the intricate work of talented ice artisans. It's a wonderful experience, especially during the holiday season, offering a chance to witness stunning ice sculptures up close in a magical setting. We ABSOLUTELY loved The Grinch in Grapevine TX!
