La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Austin Southwest

Was a good experience overall except for the checking in process, it took a while for me to get checked in. It was late and I was tired. No one seemed to be there for a while until the next shift showed up. However for the price the place was wonderfu, the room was clean, the next shifts of staff were wonderful and responsive, breakfast was just
okay.

Had a great stay here! I stayed in a double queen room and it was clean and spacious. Every staff member I encountered was very nice and also accommodating. We had an issue with our original room and they quickly relocated us to another room without any hassle. This hotel has free parking too and is ~15 minutes from the city as well as ~5 minutes from a bunch of stores like Walmart and Target so it's in a great area. Definitely recommend!

Our hotel room was ransacked and many items stolen at 10 am shortly after we left the room in the morning. Hotel has inadequate security with no functioning card readers or security cameras at the entrances/exits with the exception of video camera in the lobby. Hotel staff was slow to respond when we called to get their help. The GM was unavailable. When the GM came to talk to us the next day, he claimed no one had been in our room while we were gone. Find my device indicated our devices were one mile away at an apartment complex within one hour of our departure. While LaQuinta was of no help, the Police officer was very kind and helpful. I would not recommend staying at this hotel because the GM admitted they were aware of the gaps in their security but have no plans to rectify it because they are doing renovations and will not have secure entries until renovation is completed. He said their former security system was outdated.

Rooms are decent. But everyone that works there is extremely nice and they have a good breakfast selection.

I booked for business travel to nearby business. Surprisingly affordable price with cozy rooms and great service. Very helpful reception, breakfast included. Yes, it is a bit of old fashioned, but compared to other nearby hotels (I used few) this was the best for business traveler. They even have a fitness room and a conference room if needed. I will book it on my next trip to Austin.

EXCELLENT customer service from the assistant manager, Christa, and the general manager, Joshua. They were very accommodating. The cleaning staff were AMAZING!!! The breakfast was delicious, and the area was clean and maintained throughout the breakfast time.

The room layout is one of the best I have been in. There was a closet near the door and the entry area also worked well as a dressing area. This same area was also a kitchen area with a mini fridge with a microwave on top. So that left the rest of the room very open. We had a king bed and there was a loveseat that would fold into a twin bed if that was needed. Optimizing the desk/table was useful.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was an easy to get to long grass area outside for our dog.
The location was close to so many shops and restaurants.

Was off the road and being redone. Super soft bed and pillows, good size bathroom.

We needed a hotel room during the recent ice event in Austin when our power was out. We have 2 dogs, and I needed WiFi to work, so once our power went out I reserved a room at the La Quinta. They were so accommodating to us and our 2 doggies! Such nice folks, helpful and friendly. It's in a great location, and we truly enjoyed our stay there. Will definitely stay again. They are our heroes! So thankful for them.

I stayed here in Feb of 2022 for 10 weeks while I was trying to figure out what to do with my life. Staff was very friendly and professional so I returned again in July of 2023 for a few days so I could empty a couple of my storage units into a uhaul truck. I did see just one small roach and a couple of babies which I beat into the next state. Apart from that no problems whatsoever. I was hoping to see Sarah and Rose again upon my return but they had left. I will stay here again to pick up my motorcycle in the near future.

Our room was nice and clean, the AC worked. Staff was nice, the breakfast solid. The building engineer (Chris) was friendly, offered to grab some beach towels while we were at the pool. While it's not meant to be a five-star hotel it met our needs and exceeded our expectations, would stay there again - great location, easy access to downtown.

This is the second great hotel I have found in Austin. Great room, great staff. Beautiful landscape around the hotel with a trail to walk, nearby restaurants. Great coffee and free breakfast in the morning. Very close drive to the Capital of Texas 15min from Hotel..

This hotel is in a perfect location: on the edge of the greenbelt, but with immediate access to more than one freeway. Despite the proximity of the heavily traveled freeways, the hotel was exceptionally quiet. It is also very clean, fresh and attractive. Rooms are good sized with comfy beds. Staff is excellent. We were there due to a breakdown of the tow vehicle for our 30-ft travel trailer. The staff kindly granted our request to park the trailer overnight for one night which was very helpful and appreciated. Will stay again if ever in the need for a hotel while in Austin.

Really a cute hotel!

We stayed here for a work conference.The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room had a nice layout, with a little counter for coffee.

The courtyard in the back was landscaped, and had places to relax: The stay was nice, and everything was clean.

Relatively close to the river and some of the parks. This was the view from the room. :)

The staff was nice, definitely recommend!

I visited this location for a huge meet up with many of my friends who were staying there. I can only review the staff and the lobby area. Ladies restroom stayed very clean and stocked with the amount of people in the lobby while we were there on October 10-12, 2019. There is also a water dispenser up front. That always had plenty of water as well, which our group really needed. The staff was very welcoming for our massive group at all times. We always felt welcomed!
I can’t comment on the prices since so much was going on in the area that might effect the rates. We know that we can all meet up at this location again next year!

They were able to accommodate a room for a weekend, last minute, on a Friday evening. Staff were friendly, the breakfast and coffee were good. I will be staying at this location again when I return to that area on another trip.

We had a great experience! The room was spacious and clean.. We didn't get in til 4am and they worked with us to have a later check out. I also left my phone charger in the room and they were very helpful about getting it back. Definitely a great stay!

Everyone at this hotel from the front desk staff and managers (Trenton, Alexis, Christa, Megan, Mike & Chris) to the housekeeping staff (ALL OF THEM) worked so hard to make my stay comfortable and safe. The courtyard and pool area is AMAZING and serene! You will not be disappointed in your stay here!

5 stars for the amazing front desk and reception team. My extended family and I stayed at the hotel for a big wedding, we would occupy the lobby and ask countless questions to Megan and Brandi. These two where so hospitable and generous with their information giving and time. They even ran out and stopped our rogue car from wrecking itself into the garden, no joke they literally jumped into a car to turn it off which saved others from injury and us from countless of dollars via insurance claims and time on the phone with our rental company, these two are the best. Coffee and waffles where amazing as well.

Amazing weekend here! The room was clean and cool, the bathroom large and spacious, and (most importantly) the staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. Special thanks to Megan, Stephanie, Sara, Cheryl, and Manager Joshua for taking such amazing care of our high maintenance crowd!
