Holiday Inn Morgantown - University Area, an IHG Hotel

We were visiting Morgantown following a death in the family. We lived there many years ago, so for us, the location was great.
Our room was lovely, spotless and even though it was on the first floor, it was surprisingly quiet. The very few flaws: The in-room coffee was a brand that I've experienced in an office where I worked and it is universally bitter.
The bathroom is beautifully stocked with Dove products. The beds are soft and have enough pillows, a must! Our granddaughter was thrilled that they had coloring pages and crayons available in the lobby.
We had breakfast at the attached restaurant. Our server was a lovely young lady who told us it was her first day. Whatever they are doing to train the waitstaff is working. She was helpful, attentive, and the food was fabulous! I recommend getting the included breakfast when you make your reservations.

Clean hotel in a lovely area. We were passing through and glad we chose this hotel. Rooms were clean and Arthur at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. Thanks Arthur, hope to see you when we're in town next!

Nice clean holiday inn, looks like it had a facelift in the last few years but the hallways and elevator are like stepping into a time machine haha. The bbq joint that’s attached to the hotel is extremely convenient and decent. Tons and tons of parking so if you’re driving a truck or towing you can find plenty of parking. Overall it was an excellent stay.

Great place. Rooms need to be renovated soon, but still in good shape. This is our go to hotel in Morgantown. Best value with still being in good shapes.

Nice rooms the people really nice checking me in and out beautiful lobby looks like you for rooms a super great location and is right near the hospital where I need to go nearly 3 minutes away or 2 minutes I'm easy check in easy check out great parking a nice restaurant right as part of the hotel if you're going to hospital be a great place to stay or just need a place to stay in the morning now I would highly recommend this place very clean very neat very beautiful.

My stay was great. The room was very clean. The bed was cozy. I love the shampoo/conditioner/body wash holder in the shower (I think I’m going to get one for myself). It was all very nice!
The customer service was impeccable! I returned home today and while unpacking realized that I did not have my prescription sunglasses. After frantically searching everything, I called the hotel for help. Luckily, Jason answered the phone at the front desk. He was very kind and compassionate. Jason put me on hold while he checked with his staff and also went up to the room to look for himself. Thank you, Jason, for going above and beyond to help me search for my missing sunglasses. I really appreciate your time.

I have been staying here recently for my job. Each time, I am met with a smile and very pleasant front staff. It is right across from the hospital, which is huge for me when I’m on call. The room is spacious and clean. Towels are actually white and not stained like other local places. I have already booked out for my future stays!

Was there for business meeting. Nice meeting room, temperature was comfortable, lunch was great and staff very attentive.

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Morgantown on a business trip and had a fantastic experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The hotel facilities were also top-notch, including a fitness center and swimming pool. The location was convenient and easily accessible, with plenty of dining options nearby. Overall, I highly recommend the Holiday Inn Morgantown for both business and leisure travelers - you won't be disappointed!

When we arrived, we were greeted by a staff member asking if our kids wanted to make Christmas crafts. After they completed them, the crafts were hung up around the front desk as Christmas decorations. What an awesome idea. The room was enormous and awesome. The lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Very close to the stadium and the hospitals. We had to stay due to our kid having a procedure at the Children's Hospital, so having the crafts available was a very special touch for our kids and temporarily took our minds off the reason for our stay.

Was in town because I had family at Mon General hospital. Really close to the hospital, so that was convenient. There is also a discounted rate for that. The room was very clean, as well as the entire hotel in general. Adrienne was the receptionist that checked me in, and she was very polite and professional. She was also very knowledgeable about the area and offered some great recommendations. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you stay here if you ever visit Morgantown!!!

We always stay here when we go to Morgantown! The afternoon/evening staff is excellent!! They are always cheerful and kind. As soon as you walk in, they say hello and ask how you are doing! They actually seem to care about their customers! The morning staff seem really busy and preoccupied but, it is to be expected when they have alot of people checking out and trying to the housekeepers to get rooms cleaned for new guests.

The rooms are always clean and smell fresh! The beds and pillows are super comfy and they have pillows for each person liking.

The location is excellent if you are visiting the WVU Hospital campus. It is just across the street! We highly recommend this hotel when staying in Morgantown for healthcare or for traveling!

Stopover en route from the Midwest to DC. Stopped during Thanksgiving week so it was very quiet (no WVU students). Exactly what you want from a Holiday Inn. Would stay again.

Great place to stay. This was our second time staying here at some of the lowest times of our lives with loved ones in the hospital, We can not stress how wonderful, empathetic, sensitive and hospitable the entire staff is. The rooms are clean and smell good. The location is very safe but near the hospital and sport venues. The restaurant shares the exact same qualities- great food awesome staff- ask for Michelle. We were well taken care of and would highly recommend it for anyone traveling to Morgantown.

Wonderful hotel, very easy access to nearby hotels. Very clean rooms and friendly staff. Would recommend staying here for any length of time.

I spent 2 weeks at this holiday Inn when I was starting in Morgantown. I was working at the hospital for that time and I had a great time. All in all the experience was very good and I would recommend staying here.

Pros: the location is great just a few min away from the hospital where I was working. The staff were amazing and very helpful, I spent 2 weeks so I think I met all the staff and they were all great. The room was very nice spacious and clean when I first got it.

Cons: my biggest con doesn’t apply to most people it only applies if u are staying for a longer period, housekeeping is not very good, I was told that I had to ask to get my room cleaned because of COVID which was not a problem and the staff was accommodating every time I asked, but the room was barely cleaned each time, I don’t think that the bedsheets were changed my whole stay for 2 weeks, and the floors were just barely cleaned each time. Also the price that I got (which was a good deal for 2 weeks) was actually not the best deal I could’ve gotten a much better deal on Priceline so I would suggest that I double check before booking straight from the hotel.

All in all though I would definitely recommend staying here if u are coming to Morgantown, and I think I will stay here again if I’m visiting for a shorter time.

The concierge was so helpful polite and amazing.

The hotel was clean although at times you could smell cigarette smoke I think it was more coming from the clothes of guests and not so much the actual hotel.

Again I'm big on clean and this hotel gave it that. The rooms where comfortable and definitely clean.

They don't have complementary breakfast. But they do have hot water and coffee in the lobby. There is a restaurant in the hotel but I cannot comment as I didn't try it for myself.

A fantastic hotel, and a great showcase of the brand.

This hotel is very new, and it shows. Everything is fresh, comfortable, sleek and modern. The staff is extremely friendly, the rooms are clean, fresh, and extremely well furnished with decor that is very pleasing to the eye.

The restaurant is great, with a nice atmosphere and delicious food (try the fried zucchini and salmon).

Overall an incredible stay.
