Hotel Morgan

I stayed at Hotel Morgan for a wedding this weekend. The staff was incredible and helped in every way they could. They were so kind and welcoming the entire weekend and valet was top notch. The room was so spacious and so clean. As for the wedding, the venue was STUNNING, the food was amazing and everything went so seamless. I am so impressed with this place and their renovations. My only “negative” comment is that the drinks at the bar were super expensive compared to every other bar in Morgantown.

By far the best hotel in Morgantown, hands down! All the staff is insanely helpful, polite and kind. The rooms are super spacious and very homey, unlike most chain based hotels that seem super cookie cutter. Out of most hotels I have stayed in, from a variety of places across the country, this hotel is by far one of the best! I highly encourage everyone to stay here if you are in town and need a place to stay!

Great service from front desk. And the rooms are beautiful. Updated to a classic feel and value is great. Fancy interiors and a clean look from the outside. Recommend to anyone staying in morgantown.

Loved this stay! The front desk was a little discombobulated about the valet parking as we were told 3 different things about Valet and self parking. Very nice tho!

Hotel Morgan is my place to stay when I have to travel to Morgantown for business! It is conveniently located near West Virginia, University and West Virginia University hospital. It has a cozy atmosphere, quiet and clean rooms, and amenities around it to make you feel right at home. There is also a well stock bar and a decent menu for food with both breakfast, lunch and dinner. Always ask for KYREN will take very good care of you while staying at Hotel Morgan.

Nice hotel that is close to everything downtown. The room was nice. We liked the way they kept the vintage feel but still have the more modern amenities.

I visited here a week ago for a formal event and I was astounded by it's beauty. The service was so excellent that I didn't even have to take care of my own dishes. As someone who was raised in the deep south and taught to take care of my own dishes, I was relatively in shock by this elegant atmosphere and wonderful service. I must say it was quite the experience.

Great hotel in the heart of Morgantown. They kept the historic architecture and added a very cool modern touch. We got a nice corner room with big windows & natural light. Very convenient to the Metropolitan where we saw a great show. Had a great stay. I highly recommend it!

Renovated historic hotel with modern rooms. Downtown Morgantown is all around. Rooftop view is nice at night.

Kevin at the front desk was honestly the best concierge we’ve ever had. He was personable and funny! He kept making us laugh. The hotel is old and restored. Nice stay

Another wonderful stay at Hotel Morgan. Very classy. Very accommodating staff. My favorite hotel in Morgantown... by far! It's worth paying a little more. It's an experience in itself!

We did not stay at the Hotel Morgan, but stopped to have a beer in the bar the afternoon of March 4. Super cute spot and the young college student who worked the bar was amazing!! I wish I remembered her name. She was so helpful and kind and treated us like we were special.

We were visiting from Northern Virginia. I will definitely come back to this gem.

Very good location right in the middle of Downtown Morgantown. The front desk staff is always very friendly. The maintenance and housekeeping staff are also the most wonderful people. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The interior of the entire hotel feels very modern. The cocktail bar is very good as well.

We had a great stay. Clean rooms, comfy beds. Hotel Morgan has the nicest staff we have ever dealt with. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Emily was especially sweet. They made our anniversary extra special. Definitely coming back.

Pros: the styling of this hotel is very cool. The common areas are chic but not stuffy, and the whole hotel has an eclectic vintage industrial feel. The rooms are spacious and stylish. The beds are comfortable, and the towels the softest I’ve ever used. The location is great with an awesome tavern right across the road that was delicious. I thought valet parking would be awkward, but it was easy and the attendant remembered me and was super courteous.
Cons: train noise can be loud at night, and woke me up more than once. The beds only have sheets and a light coverlet, and I prefer to sleep with a heavier blanket. I didn’t get the chance to try out the bar in the hotel, but someone had still managed to charge my room number for almost $100 spent there. When I called about it the front desk remedied it quickly. I’m not sure what is in place to make sure charges are being made to the correct rooms, but it might be an area to improve upon, especially if the hotel ended up needing to eat that charge.

Overall, I would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful hotel in the heart of downtown. Wonderful renovations and staff was helpful and available.

This hotel is STUNNING. I didn’t get to see it prior to the renovation, but it is absolutely gorgeous. I kept telling my parents that they HAD to stay here when they visited (mostly out of my selfish desire to see the rooms), but they chose to stay elsewhere. So, while they were here, I took them to HM for drinks at the bar and to get a look around. They LOVED it. The hotel reminds me of the days of prohibition, although the bar served us quite well! Perhaps my family’s favorite food during their entire visit was the pretzel with the 3 different dips from the bar. It was huge (fed 3 of us well) and while we considered a second one, we decided to save some room for our dinner. Our bartender was sweet and attentive, and made fantastic recommendations that led to mom and I having a most delicious “chocolate-covered strawberry” cocktail. Hubby and I will definitely be back for a drink, and one of these days I’ll get to see a room here!

Excellent rating on cleanliness. It is one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed at recently, which is saying something since the pandemic has seen short staffing and lessened services everywhere. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. All of the front desk staff were helpful. The website was wonky when I reserved the hotel and we ended up with two reservations which the staff promptly fixed upon check in. The vibe/atmosphere is wonderful with that 20s era throwback style. The bar is cozy and a nice place to unwind before heading up to the room. One of the two bartenders was extremely nice. The bed was so comfortable and blackout shades were perfect. The extra large shower in the bathroom with better toiletries than most and huge, thick towels made my night. The umbrella is a nice touch that we used in the rain (don't take them home) and the steamer was perfect for my clothes the next day. We didn't get a chance to try out the food due to our schedule but the menu for light fare had some nice choices. The valet/doormen were very friendly. We used self parking instead of valet though. They give you a parking pass and direct you to two locations close to the hotel at which you can park. Overall, I will choose this hotel for my trips to Morgantown to visit my college kid.
