Morgantown Marriott at Waterfront Place

One of our Favorite hotels when we travel & have been here several times. Dom at the desk was so welcoming & a joy to talk to. They treat you like Family here! Try the Apple Bourbon Creme Brûlée…outstanding! Nice Executive Lounge too with great cocktails! The River View is another plus!

This full service Marriott is the nicest hotel in Morgantown. Rooms are modern as is the lobby and large exercise room. Located near a scenic walking path to get to downtown or campus. The restaurant and bar offer good options and are reasonably priced. Suggest you drop your bags in the registration area as the parking lot is in the back and a bit of a walk.

Awesome place to stay. Clean room, comfortable bed. Pool was nice. Gym was big and had lots of equipment. If you like to take walks there is walking path along the river just behind the hotel. Looks like it used to be used as a railroad but converted into a walking path and it goes up into town.

Loved this hotel! The room was nicely decorated and cool. Attended a conference here. Food was great. Banquet and hotel staff were very accommodating.

My favorite Marriott in West Virginia! The location is the best! Close to the University and many local businesses and eateries. Great walking trails and nice bar.Bartenders are well versed in mixing cocktails! Breakfast and bar food (burgers) were delicious!

Very nice hotel. The lobby, bar area, and conference rooms are very nice. Breakfast buffet for $17 a person is not good but other than that can't complain.

This was our first time staying in WV and at this property and we really enjoyed it. We stopped here for a break on our drive back to Toronto. The hotel has had recent investments and has been renovated (it looks like the conference rooms are still awaiting renovation). The lobby is beautiful. Our room was large and had a nice view of the river. It was quiet and clean with modern finishes including hard floors instead of carpet in the room, which I prefer as they are much cleaner. Driving off the interstate some of the surrounding area is a bit rough but it was nice to see investment being made in this area. We saw lots of young families walking the path by the river and there are good restaurants nearby. We ate at Von Blaze a few blocks away and it was very good. We would stay here again when traveling through the area. It was also better value than staying just over the PA border as well.

Hospitality is fantastic here at this Marriott! Everything about the place was like it should be. The rooms were so clean and modern. Well equipped hotel with a nice restaurant and Starbucks on site.

Right when you walked in, the staff was friendly, my check-in was brief, and I was in the room no time at all.

The room was very clean and elegant. Biggest PRO was the view of the river. Your literally right on it.

After dropping my luggage off, I went to the bar area. I had a small plate of cheese and sausage dip (excellent). The bar staff was fun and knew almost all of them by their first name at the end of the night.

The hotel has a boardwalk with many other nice restaurants. Worth the walk.

Only CON was the parking. It is totally on the other side and it is a walk. You will need to drop your luggage off at the front first because you don't want to haul it that far if heavy.

A small convention center means an extended walk from the garage to the desk. Starbucks in the lobby. Hotel restaurant is decent. Right on the river.

Excellent location. You can walk on the blacktop pathway to the Ruby amphitheater for a summer concert on Saturdays. This one was FREE! The blacktop pathway runs along the river behind the hotel. There are multiple restaurants along the pathway. This was a great tribute band, but sometimes they have name well known artists. There were a couple of hiccups...AC seemed stuck very cold so we turned it off. Parking is a little far. Overall, these things we worked out.

Enjoyed my stay here. The hotel staff did a great job hosting our conference. The food was set up in an elegant and timely manner. The staff were extra helpful in providing bottled water even after they had cleared their drink area between sessions. The rooms were clean and comfortable.The breakfast buffet was very good. Thank you for excellent service.

Super impressed with Collin(sp) worked evening of 7/8/23. Everything I saw him deal with, from a dog barking and going crazy in a room near mine, to a disruptive person (non Hotel guest) to a few guests that were having issues, he did with a GREAT deal of compassion and “can do” attitude. Hotel is GREAT. Clean, fresh and service was outstanding!

Marriott Waterfront in Morgantown remains one of my favorite hotels. The spacious and cozy rooms, great on-site restaurant, and river view are fantastic. The Concierge lounge is perfect for breakfast or a quick snack. The only downside is the absence of a fully equipped spa, but the pool and hot tub make up for it. Highly recommended for a comfortable stay.

We chose to stay here for the night because they had an indoor pool to take our toddler to. The rooms were fantastic, beds are super comfortable. The shower was spacious and had a shower house on the opposite side. Hot tip, make sure it isn't directed at the door or there will be water on the floor. The pool was great, clean, and pretty big for a hotel.

The bar had one of the largest Bourbon offerings I've ever seen at a bar, let alone a hotel bar. They also have a great selection of wines.

There is a full-service Starbucks on site with limited hours.

Tons of convention space, there were several rooms being used for a variety of things during our stay.

You can also easily walk to the Wharf from here. There are a variety of restaurants in addition to what is offered at the hotel.

We come to Morgantown often and will absolutely stay here again.

Awesome hotel. Amazing views. They have nice amenties also.

Parking is a pain. Machine didn't work. Just parked overnight along trail instead. Most of the staff was nice. One woman at the front desk when I arrived in the evening was a little stuck up. Other than that the staff was great. Especially that Sarah woman who worked the morning shift

Excellent Hotel, facilities, staff and location!
This is the only hotel we stay at in Morgantown. We have been coming here for the past 5 years. The hotel is right by the river and restaurants line along the river just steps from hotel. This hotel is meticulous, rooms are big and very clean with magnificent water views. The staff are very friendly. Outstanding bar/restaurant by lobby for dinner and drinks.
